Amazing how he flicks the wipers whilst down-changing from 3rd to 2nd, all while braking at the limit!
SS6 Clumber Park (5.14km) Juha Kankkunen is equal fastest with Colin Mcrae and Kenneth Eriksson. Overall Juha Kankkunen is leading the event by 3 seconds over Armin Schwarz. Loving this footage,
I was there, can still remember the cold toes!
Me too! We went on our pushbikes From Mansfield Woodhouse, great memories eh Stan.

Rallying How it should be,A car With a Gearstick and Not too much Grip And a Great Driver and co Driver
I Watched these 2 In this car Driving at over 120mph on a Single Track Width road on Snow Behind RAF Filingdales Its One I will never Forget.
My local stage! About only 5 min drive from my house. Thanks so much!
Its ashame they nolonger run this stage would of loved to have gone hered alot of stories about the local stage
I was there, sat up near the flying finish and remember Juha was flying up the hill at the end. Proper rally cars, proper drivers, proper Rac Rally. Not the total crap that Wales Rally GB is today. The whole series is a real turn off. They need to give it a shake up and a revamp and get back to the rallying...
Modern onboard footage looks like a sunday afternoon drive in town compared to this.
Have you seen any Irish Tarmac Rallies? Frank Kelly would be the one to watch, GRP4 MK2 Escort, so quick in the dry he beats the Scoobies, Evos etc. Rain makes getting traction from nearly 400bhp (flywheel) and 270 ft/lbs from the rear wheels a tad tricky. I watched Ken Block in his Escort Cossie and in the (mostly) dry he was messy and I wouldn't be surprised if Frank would be quicker than Ken. I was actually uncomfortable watching Ken and I've watched Frank have his Escort step out when he was flat in 6th.
Granted Kankkunen is a Rally God - I'm not a Nord but those people can drive - they were dealing with wet and snowy spots but running dry tires. WOW!
Excellent as always thanks 👍
I was Marshalling on the Stop line of this stage. Modern WRC Cars too much Gaming machines now. Some great drivers but so easy for them.
😍
Wrong, so hard for them. Watch young Oliver Solberg obliterating everybody on an H-pattern manual RWD good old Escort MkII at the Albert Clark Rally 2023. And then watch how he performed at the top of the WRC with the Rally1 and the latter WRC cars. He had to go back to WRC2. He was slow, crashed many times, had plenty of problems even though he's a fantastic driver who in fact, I'm sure, will come back way stronger and delight us all with the top machinery. Plenty of examples like that. You can watch Kalle Rovanperä man-handling this very same old Celica like an utter expert at Rally Legends, and then also struggling at the WRC. You know, working hard and, as every driver does, "complaining" about difficulties here and there. Naturally, because rally is the hard thing, NOT the cars. The cars just make it a bit harder or easier. But rally is ALWAYS hard, let alone when you are driving the fastest cars in the history of rally.
Another amazing video
Классное видео 👍 посмотрел с удовольствием 👍

This is why rallying on tv is now shite. We don't want a feckin camera pointed through the windscreen, we want to see the cars going sideways through the muck and gravel. Then again the cars nowadays are shite as well and not worth looking at. They all look the same, boring.
They all look the same but also perform the same, which means it enables some real competitions between the drivers. Back then competition was hot garbage. Some cars were so superior that their drivers were just riding round the park towards easy wins. Plus they were ugly as hell. Nowadays it's mostly THE DRIVERS who win rallies and championships. Go and watch championship standing tables at Wikipedia or something. Back then the tables were full of empty cells, meaning drivers were not competing at specific rallies and even teams were withdrawing from rallies as they knew they had nothing to do. Rally victories and championships were given for free. Absolute trash. Today a driver becoming a champion is a real chad. But for sure the FIA manages to ruin that parity we have today with nonsensical road order rules and points systems. Ogier is about to become a World Champion once again even though he didn't compete at every rally this season. This just brings back the old-school garbage championships, he himself said that he does not care about getting this one this year.
Hundreds of rally driver went over that bridge no issue but some twatty joyrider crashed into it and ruined it a few years ago
it was a volvo that smashed the bridge, i know the lad who did it. he was pissed up and showing off to some underage lasses.
