  • We are doing laundry in the RV. Find out what we think of our new portable dryer. Is it worth the money? Do we like it better than the clothesline? Watch to the end to find out.

You were correct Brett it can't be used on extension as power is compensated for the extension try with you mobile charging direct connect to extension connect you will be shocked at diffrent current rate

Put a nylon around the dryer vent to collect the lint also.

Brett, (retired electrician here) The extension cord wouldn't reduce the amperage enough to even nudge a meter. Your problem was likely damp air in creating more work for the dryer.

Call the customer service number in the paperwork or look it up online. Be careful when not using the hoses for the dryer and venting it outside. By using it the way you did, you are adding a lot of moisture inside the camper.

We don't use dryer sheets anymore. They can plug up the breathability of the fabric. We use the plastic spiky balls. It helps.

Had similar dryer for off grid camp here in Maine...the first issue was humidity on the hot steamy july days...the next issue was a cracked seal around door, which we replaced...used a table top fan to blow on dryer when operating on porch...cool air was the solution when using...

I wouldn't take it apart, I'd return it if it's not working right. If you took it apart, they could refuse to give you your money back saying it's your fault.

I had a set like this in the 90s for our cabin, to save water, I always used the rinse water for the next load of clothes to save water. Just make sure wherever you use the dryer it is fairly level, will cause you belt issues if it isn't, speaking from experience.

I would use the dryer to "fluff up" dry clothes to make them softer, and more wrinkle-free. That's what I do at home, anyway, with a softener sheet & a regular dryer. I always hang my clothes to dry because I'm 5'8" and don't want my clothes to shrink...also, they seem to stay in better condition! ☺

I love my washer like that..and I use 2 spins and the things inside get even more almost dry..I do like more water..but I don't travel and my septic goes to city sewer..so don't have to worry about filling up the tanks..I've had mine a yr or so and found that the water started going into the side of spinner.. and out side my shower it didn't drain so well..
