I think with this price they should also provide ABS. If ABS is not possible at least back disk breaks. Also metal quality is not good. I saw other videos screw on handle get rust in 3 months. I am confused 😕 what to do.. I am waiting for good response. I want to buy cruiser bike at the end of this year. Plz suggest
Pawan Bhatia unfortunately, you only have REs and avengers now. I wouldn't bet on UMs.
If long distance riding is on your mind, invest on dominar or Mahindra Mojo. I own Mahindra Mojo, close to 2 years now and super happy with it.

I think these UM bikes have better riding comforts than the Enfield, but then I feel the Enfield is more macho. But the latter still leaks oil, you are perfectly right on that with your view!!!!!!!!!

Please don’t buy UM bikes as I was a first buyer of UM classic last November in south Tamil Nadu but so far no service was provided by the dealer. Just cheaters😡

UM, I think, is United Motorcycles and not United Motors, you have slipped up Mr Editor. A good review otherwise. Keep it up, though I am not sure of the motorcycle quality. But again, every manufacturer has a quality problem in India..from Patanjali to Royal Enfield!!!

Great objective review.. dear editor you think the efi issue you mentioned was on this classic bike alone? Have you test drive more and more bikes from them? The Mojave was same engine? This one performed well? Can you have both torque and high top end speed and low vibrations in a bike? I am considering thunderbird or renegade classic.. what you recom? To begin with, we have reviewed the Dominar, here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/FLRKVu0t-BM/v-deo.html. It's a smart power cruiser. Its styling is a lot different. As far as the stalling issue was concerned, a few other journalists also experienced that in both the classic and the Mojave. It could be because we were given bikes straight out of the factory without any final checks. I am guessing. But what is important is that the company needs to do stringent quality checks before sending them out to showrooms. The Renegade Classic is what I would prefer over the Thunderbird. But again, some really love the aggressive looks of the Thunderbird. The Classic more sophisticated. We shall soon be uploading a short video report on the Lohia plant where the UM bikes are made with an interview with Mr Ayush Lohia.

Sir I want to ask about the UMs upcoming bikes segment, about UMs bike named "DUTY", if you have access to their manufacturing division and can inquire about this bike, that whether they are launching it in India or not, and if yes then when? B'coz when I asked the dealer they don't have any answer, plz sir if you could. And by the way it was a very honest and sincere review.

The bike looking very nice but which u r given ex showroom and on road price not meeting in Hyderabad the showroom person told that 2.1 lack um sports but you r showing that ex showroom and on road price is 1.78 lack this difference is very bad which person is wrong u r ur dealers

It's not your bad piece, 100 % people get bad piece, it's not Indian manufacturing, it's American company, engine n some parts and manufacturing from china, American company UM is purchase from China, u can also purchase from China in 800 $, draw back is engine is not working for ride in Indian cities, it's good for long drive,
Overall your video is very good, iron parts got rust, no servicing in mostly cities, nagpur showroom is closed,

What if it is an indian company but made in china? Would people go against the brand? What if it’s a chinese originated company but is owned by and manufactured in india? Still no? What if it’s a fully indian owned and manufactured company but all the parts are made from china? Still no? Bottom line is judge the bike, what it can do, the situation of it’s maintenance and how well does it serve it’s purpose and not just by the brand or where it came from. I`m totally agree is a very bad bike, but I think it is a very good bike for people who want to start in the world of motorcycles, it is cheap and I do not think that the parts in case something breaks the repair come out expensive, this bike is worth about 3000 euros.

Today, UM has no offices in USA, no design teams in US - nothing in USA. The Brand UM is also not from USA.
Though Apple or others who make their products in China, the products are designed in USA, they have offices in USA.
UM is just rebranding a cheap bike from China . The original bike in China costs about US $1400, and is sold twice the price in India.
The quality of UM bikes is never verified in any global fourm. Its because they are bad quality, I am just warning people.

The company is part of the Lohia Auto Group. The brand is registered in US but parts are sourced from different parts of the globe including China and a certain degree of local production as well. The company will survive and is doing fairly well. The lack of healthy competitive attitude from consumers is what ensures bigger and more establish brands land up with a monopoly and there in the sufferer becomes the consumer. Keep a positive and healthy attitude towards new brands as well. Even if you are not buying their products, it is not always that they have really bad products.

^^ He's not necessarily being a Bhakth. Your attempt at sarcastic humor isn't good either. When a company uses "American" prominently on their marketing propaganda, I would expect to know more than a vague 1 liner "established in the early 2000s" about their American products, history. It may not matter to you but to a lot of people, Solid American roots Vs. Purely made in China is a decision influencing aspect. I think a lot of people buy this thinking that UM has a solid base in the US - thinking they sold something they designed and probably built there. Manufacturing in China is something a lot of American Companies with strong roots in the US do. But this is a SERIOUS GREY AREA where anyone could easily argue that UM is doing the same thing as Microsoft or Apple - UNTIL of course, you see the historic pattern of their business model. To me, this does make a difference. If you love their products, by all means, PLEASE, I encourage you to go ahead and buy this thing.
