    Yo Spidey Squaaaad!!!! 👻👽🧛🏻‍♂️🐺🎃🎃🎃🎃!!!! Here are the PRO TIPS to really make this a killer!!!
    1) the reason the 6 cards have the rubber band around them is to make it easier to pull them out without also pulling out the mummy prediction. When my right hand goes into the envelope my left hand pinches down the single prediction and my right hand pulls out the big clump.
    2) remember only YOU know that the trick has multiple paths. Whatever choice they make, convince yourself that this is the ONLY path possible. Really commit to that ending.
    3) I often say this in my pro tips but if your mind is going “what if they want to look at the envelope” “ what if they want to examine the cards” what if what if what if; there’s a problem. “What if...” questions often indicate a lack of confidence and the inability to manage your audience. Your audience shouldn’t dictate what you do. This is your performance. Don’t present magic as a puzzle that makes you smarter than them, present it as a shared experience. And if you do your reveal and move on to another trick they can’t just grab your stuff. That being said here are ways to make each reveal cleaner so they can’t examine anything
    Ghost: as I said, throw the cards into the envelope except the ghost. Now only the ghost and envelope remain. Reveal. There really isn’t much to examine
    Mummy: I sometimes drop the prediction out next to the mummy card. then place the other 5 cards in my left hand under the envelope where the ghost prediction is written (to hide it) and casualty gesture showing that side of the envelope. I will demonstrate this on next week’s live stream
    Vampire: you can casually remove the envelope after they choose vampire as though you’re making space on the table to show the final moment. Get rid of it completely. They can’t examine something that isn’t there.
    EDIT: there’s a question more than one person asked and it’s very confusing to me but I’ll answer it anyways. The question is “what if they pick the vampire, what do you do about the fact that you said there’s something amazing inside the envelope?”
    This is very confusing to me. If they pick the vampire you just show the back and don’t talk about the envelope again. They won’t remember that line, besides you said there’s something amazing in there and there is; an amazing trick! Nobody is ever going to say “yeah but you pointed to the envelope and said there’s something amazing”
    I mean I did it in the live stream thousands of people saw it and nobody seemed confused by that line, or even brought it up. So nothing to worry about

    I did this for my kids and they loved it. Tip: I told my kids they are a "Ghost Hunter" and my son went "Awww!!" which was him thinking it "must be the ghost". He did pick the ghost and said I "gave it away". So I recommend saying "Monster Hunter" or "Supernatural Detective".
    But it was awesome. Spidey, I used your art and it was great.

    Spider, that was amazing! In the end it was a multiple outs type of thing, but what rocked me, ( and you're right when you say you think it's good) the spreading of the cards changing the odd/even order! That was something no one would guess.Also, I think it is ingenious and subtle to use the left right spread idea, combined with multiple outs, in a routine that looks as if it were going to be equivoque according to the structure, but turns out to be better...After all equivoque style routines have , I believe an inherent weakness in that if you have to make three or four steps you may have to make opposite calls three times running, and to me that sounds suspicious.So you solved a problem, and dodged a bullet at the same time: well done, and thankyou for being good enough not to keep such a brilliant idea for a routine to yourself( but let's face it, that's why you shared it, because that's the only modest way you can get the credit for thinking of it!) keep it up... I think you're going to be the world's best new mentalist right about.... now!

    A similar trick was used in one of the Columbo episodes, where a magician was the culprit. He told to say a number, and then revealed it under a flower pot, or some other location. Of course, there were numbers under several locations, and he revealed only the one which was called. But your trick is much more refined, it has a story, and it's less likely for an audience member to ask "hey, then what's under that OTHER flower pot?"

    • @praevasc4299
      @praevasc4299 3 роки тому +2

      @@peterhaagen8506 Indeed. In the Columbo version, if you stick it to the bottom of a kettle or a mug or a flower pot, people might wonder what's under the other objects lying around (for 6 numbers, there you need 6 objects). Here you can have twice the number of cards than how many hidden writings you have, because you eliminate half of them at the very beginning.

    This is a sweet trick, and I like the story line.
    I'm just going to elaborate on the story, if they choose Mummy, that the envelope is the village cemetery, and they open up a crypt for the reveal.
    And if they choose the ghost, that the envelope is the castle dungeon.

    I'm patting myself on the back for guessing how you narrowed it down to three. But the other two steps totally evaded me.

    Nice trick.i wasn't expecting the back up plans for other choices, I just figured vamp was most likely choice because the story is set in Europe so the mummy is out its from Egypt, and there are disappearances so the ghost is out, not usually there MO, so that leaves the Vampire. But I guess there are wild cards out there that can choose another.

    • @fulgurobaboon1321
      @fulgurobaboon1321 3 роки тому

      Yeah honestly i think just by cultural proximity, mummy would be eliminated by 99% of europeans. But you're kinda relying on luck if you expect everybody to pick the same one

      I also though the vampire was most likely, but that's exactly why I would have gotten rid of it just to test him 😁

      Imagine you have different names written on each of the six cards, and you tell a story about how these six characters have been friends since high school and they decided to stay in a mansion for spring break and they wake up one night to find the butler dead and the friends begin blaming each other, So they call the famous detective Sherlock Holmes to investigate and find the killer

    Hey Spidey, I performed this to excellent response at a Halloween party last night. I made up my cards using jumbo playing cards, copied your fine artwork, and wrote a script. Had it down , ready, in just a few days. It was the perfect middle trick and I really appreciate the help. It was a good crowd of children and adults, and this trick seemed to hit the sweet spot.
