It really is super weird that the members of the coalition that wanted to cut off Atlantis and basically make them their enemies didn't consider that they wouldn't come help them if and when the wraith came back and specifically targeted the coalition

I find it extremely difficult to believe that the Genii have enough pull to convince dozens, possibly more, of planets to turn their backs on the only peoples in the Galaxy to not only be space-faring, but have access to technology that surpasses that of the Wraith

Atlantis did often do things that effected the whole galaxy, and never really faced the problems. So I think it was the Genii capitalized on this one true point to get the other worlds to go along with this.
I feel like the Coalition was daft only putting their eggs in one basket. Only relying on the Genii then Atlantis. If I'd been in charge I would trade raw materials to the Travellers so they could build new ships and expand their options.
One thing that seems like a no brainier is to arm the coalition and others with weapons similar to what was given to the free Jaffa. It wouldn't make them a threat to Atlantis but it would definitely make life harder for the wraith. You could argue they would exterminate every population that resists but if everyone resists the wraith can't do this. After all the wraith need humans to consume.
I wrote a fanfic about this taking place after Enemy at the Gates, where Atlantis doesn’t return to Pegasus, and if it does, it’s a long time coming. The Genii step in as the highest military power and Ladon Radim works to expand power of his people. One of these planets has an Ancient outpost similar to Antarctica that the locals cannot use but Ladon wants. With bribes, trade, and saber rattling, the Genii take possession and using gene therapy trials, they manage to unlock it, which gives them access to its database, leading to a crashed Ancient ship on a Coalition world, many hundred miles from the gate. I might go back to that story one day.
There is no evidence of your fights. Meanwhile, spectral databanks obtained many times, eyewitness accounts (fights were fought over inhabited and quite advanced worlds). As for this woman on the council, she may be a representative of the cultures that were allegedly destroyed by Atlantis, for the fact that this council was only a commission set up to pass judgment is more than certain. genii totally in a real council would have at least 1 official seat
My only problem with the whole thing is, why does Atlantis or Earth even need their cooperation, the whole point of the expedition was to get the city and the information in it's databases, doubt they are going to find anything better by continuing to explore the Pegasus galaxy. They could just halt all exploration of the Pegasus galaxy, get supplies from Earth and focus on protecting the city while hanging the wrest of the galaxy out to dry if they wanted to.
One issue with this is this. Atlantis aka Earth has to explore the Pegasus galaxy to prevent the Wraith from getting the ancients technology. There was an episode in S2 about this. The Wraith found an Ancients war ship. An was learning how to improve their hyperdrives. You have to remember that the Wraith knew of earth. An were doing everything in their power to get there.
Near the end you mentioned earth should do such a thing but its been sprinkled into episodes over the years that the sg1 team send help and resources to rebuilt the civilisations and help set up governance, I've always thought this was the pre cursor for a galaxy level federation but we only see the most advanced races doing diplomacy with earth.
@Lee H true they have done that, but like you said I think they should take it to the next level. Get all the advanced groups, or groups willing to come, and make some kind of organization. And I don’t think it needs to be a federation like thing, maybe a NATO like one to start out.

Am i the only 1 who thinks that the rabitcaters destroying 12 hives as a low number? Plus, what Atlantis took out as well. An with the wraith civil war. How many hive ships are left? Didnt the Wraith have somewhere between 60-70 hive ships at the beginning. This doesn't make sense to me. Plus with only 2 million dead. That too seem a very low number.

Not to mention the unknown areas as well. I personally would give the Wraith hive ships a realistic number. Between 600-700 hive ships. With I say 5000 Wraith cruisers. Even that feels like a low number given that the Wraith was at war with the ancients. Another thing that doesn't make while lot of sense. To out number the technology advance ancients who had hundreds of worlds to make incredible powerful war ships. Numbers in the TV show are completely unrealistic.
Just excuse to have episodes in which they can re use material they already created, cheap story writing hding behind the guise of, 'its realistic'. Personally these type of episodes dont do it for me.
Yeah I looked at the ratings recently for SG-1 and the clips shows tended to be on the lower scale. Which is funny because one of them is my favorite episode.

If wraiths could get even 2 cloning facilities online, I think they could overrun the Vong worse than the ancients b4 the Vong superior tech could come into play. But only if Wraith infighting could come to a halt long enough to unit against Vong invasion. I think their tech grows about apace with Vong, maybe faster, slightly, but the advantage of Dovan Basils on standard wraith shields & organic hulls would be interesting. Also, given the Vong’s ability to infiltrate and gather data years b4 they launch an assault on a galaxy Edit: dang, I forgot the Vong would just kill everything, cutting off wraith food source. Wraith would likely miss Vong spy if planned to come during hibernation cycle

That does is a low number. Personally I think there should have been way more Hive ships. At least in the hundreds range.
