Thank you everyone for the kind words and overwhelming response to this video. I’m even more excited now to bring you some amazing content in Saudi, Dubai & the rest of the world! Thanks for sticking around over the years 🙏🏻🤝🏼☺️
Before you start comparing and complaining how bad things would have been if you stayed in UK, remember one thing!!! You wouldn’t not be where you are without having to spend 18 years of your life in UK and the opportunities you were given. The country where human rights are respected, equal opportunities are offered, the country where you would be returning once you retire and will use the NHS without ever having to pay into the system.
I lived in Jeddah for the first 10 years of my life, I’m so excited to see that the country is opening up to the rest of the world. Would love to visit Saudi again ❤
Margarita Island in Venezuela, for me the best place in the world, you can buy a nice house or apartment for around $10.000, the people are very nice and friendly.
Your videos massively helped me when I moved to Dubai... I was considering Doha and Saudi for the next adventure... Will stay subscribed as I'd love to see more of it from your POV... Good luck with the move.. Wishing you all th best!
Yay look forward to see my country through your lense! Saudi has so much to offer and its vary diverse geographically, culturally and there's alot of history here to discover. Hope u visit Abha in southern Saudi
Best of luck in a new role, settling in Saudi Arabia! Please make a video about your career path and with (reasonable) details about your job, would love to hear the story of growth!
Your videos will only get better! Good luck with the move. As a Brit in Dubai, and with loads of work across Dubai and Saudi, I completely see the temptation of moving over to KSA! 🇸🇦
Thanks and good luck, Brad. Your videos were super helpful for someone moving to Dubai and had never travelled outside of their continent before. All the best. Keep the content coming!
Well you've got the luxury to move and wish you the best bro ✨ us with weak passports can't just get up and move about to other places and yeah, its a bummer
Lose followers ? Absolutely not! I am so excited for you and your new adventure! I can’t wait to see your Saudi content too and how life compares. I’m sure you’ll be back here one day. We just moved our office to Arjan it really is such a good location. Life is what you make it. Change is constant. Regret the things you don’t do. Have the best time and also agree with everything you said in this. We just moved to cherrywoods because Elan was just going crazy for a tiny 4 bed. Something has to pop.
I’m looking forward to the Saudi Vlogs! I think it’s a good decision for your content. You hear a lot about Saudi Arabia lately, but there are not many content creators to document it all. I’m following most new projects through forums in Saudi Arabia, but it would be nice to see some vlogs about them!
This is the problem with Dubai. At 18 obviously you don’t have university education but hence you became a technical manager. They just hire based on passports…
7 years ago was so much different if we talked about technology, not a lot of people were interested in studying technology in university, or there was but they are still studying, and am not talking about all the world I can’t speak on behalf anyone am talking only about gulf countries, so we really needed anyone with a minimum experience to hire. Now it’s all better in here, they still hiring him for his experience not for his experience, am waiting this comment after 5 months of him moving to Saudi and since he came to Saudi he already worked on a great project in Riyadh, I know 7 years is not enough to be a manager but like I said there was a shortage of technical specializations and because he came to Dubai early, he was able to reach the top quickly.
I have been a subscriber since your follower count was in the hundreds. Big fan of the channel. Looking forward to content from Saudi as I am interested in moving there.
I can clearly see you are talented, charismatic, presentable and enigmatic. I notice you have been blessed with very supportive and invested employers. You didnt meet toxic employers or clients at all. And british people that come here have a great network and a great generous habit towards their brethren. From where I come, its like world war Z, people who will ride on corpses to rise up even when they are in dubai be it employers, coworkers, clients etc. Be it demotivating driven peopĺe and ensuring they never get what they are worth. Wish our people were more like you.
We like YOU and the content you are creating and will remain subscribed! :) I watched ALOT of your Dubai content and excited for your move to Saudi. Great video !
Good luck mate. Your vids have been massively helpful. Finally due in Dubai Jan 25 for the Arab Health Expo - then Saudi for Global Health in Oct 25 (Riyadh). See you there?
totally agree, Dubai is the best place on this planet for those who can afford it, the lifestyle and nightlife is so great that even thinking about not living like that every day and night will give you severe depression, once your in, its extremely hard to give up and leave behind... but increasingly expensive, i grew up in Dubai and it used to be much more quiet, orders of magnitude cheaper and yet very pleasant, but 100s of skyscrapers started to appear out of nowhere... but Dubai is still Dubai, that truly magical place where pleasure is boundless, but now only if you can afford it.
Great vlog Brad... I've only been to Dubai about 4 times transiting on stops overs between NZ and Europe.. It's incredible place experience wise but couldn't see myself living there. Curious to know why you choosing Riyadh over lets say Jeddah... heard Jeddah is a bit more relaxed, liberal and cultural...
So the fact that it was so great…. Made so many people want to go there, drove up the prices and things are getting more expensive, and people are getting paid less. Seems like a recipe for disaster. At least for “normal” jobs
The main thing you didn't say cause you coudn't say it so I'll do it for you: You're not a free man there. No freedom of speech, no democracy. Say one negative thing about the goverment and you're on the next plane off to home. No social security system, no pension system, ... Basically you're a slave living in a dictatorship who must shut his mouth and not say a negative thing about the Sheikhs or you'll be thrown out.
Thats right nowadays in Europe freedom of speech is limited to subjects that are allowed. But if you wave or carry a flag of Palestine you get arrested, if you say something about muslims this is no problem, but if you speak your mind about non moslims or jewish people you are in big trouble. 100% Free Speech is dead everywhere
Congratulation for new job. It's great timing to come to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦. Sa is biggest country in middle east with more than 2 Millions km. Sa has largest economy in middle east and a member of G20 and the second fastest growth economy after india. I'm sure u will have a great experience in saudi arabia with the most hospitable people ever.
This is ridiculous nonsense - Dubai is what it is. It's not a mecca of anything, and this video like others is misleading. If you're making $500k+ a year, it's a no brainer to be tax resident in UAE if you can, but if you're not, you're deluded if you're a typical Westerner - it also holds value for those earning next to nothing but who originate from very poor third world countries in Asia and you can still save and take money back, but not for the margins in between. It's one of a few tax free jurisdictions - there is a personal finance question as to whether your salary in your home jurisdiction falls within certain brackets, and whether there is an equivalent salary in UAE which will make the move worth it in terms of tax, though you won't get pension etc and there may be currency swings. For example, 100k pounds in UAE vs 125k in UK is roughly the same if you put 25k in pension and have 5% employer contributions except you make a few k more perhaps in UK but you get the money up front and not locked in a pension in UAE. So from financial perspective alone the move isn't worth it. But then cost of living is higher in Dubai than London - you mentioned rent, but that's broadly equivalent with central London, it's other things - bills are much more expensive, eating out, transportation. And if you're working a real job in Dubai you're probably based in DIFC - and because of the traffic situation you rent in DIFC or Downtown which has pricier rents. Only low wage people live in Deira and are prepared to face the 2 hour traffic. Then there are expat costs of going home throughout year etc. Also the video said it was only really hot for 3 months of the year and nice for 9 months - this is example of the many lies/exaggerations you see online. Dubai gets very hot from mid April, and unbearably so, through to right at the end of October/begging of November - so over 6 months of the year. Now you can get up at 5am and maybe run about for an hour at 33 degrees before it starts going above 37/38+ but the general point made about going from taxi to mall to taxi to apartment, and people leaving the city is obviously correct. What you've missed is that it's half the year, and the other half is not full of people wanting to come live in Dubai because it's so great etc. it's just tourism mostly and you've also missed calling out the lie that it's a big city. It's a tiny city - it's 30km long by 6km wide with a few areas of concentration within - mostly JBR/Marina and Downtown/Dubai Mall, and those areas are just basically hotels, restaurants and malls. And you've also missed out that 80% of the city is men, and 80% is South Asians - it's not a necessarily diverse international city and dating is a minefield - it's all very well coming for tax reasons as a content creator and leaving when it suits, but most people don't see the same advantages, and single women in particular don't want to come to Dubai alone, and those that do are very few in number - there are few organic jobs on the ground - DIFC is finance and that's heavily male, and heavily people who couldn't rely on looks for a living, the rest of generally hospitality and that goes to whoever will take the lowest salary, usually South Asians and Filipinos.
@xoxoxoxo5224 Dubai feels like a huge overpriced Shopping Mall district to me, btw what do you think about Singapore? I am thinking of moving there for business mainly within the financial sector? Is it good enough or maybe Europe would be better, current situation in the US is not favorable, but maybe it would help? I would really like to know your perspective
@rougueone7126 The cost of housing and car ownership in Singapore is extremely high. Foreigners (Non-Singaporean Citizens) will have to pay a 60% stamp duty if they want buy a private condo in the island nation. The cost of buying a car is about 2 to 3 times more, depending on the make and model, compared to what you would pay in the U.S. When it comes to accommodation and car ownership, Dubai is way much more affordable than Singapore.
@@petersmith2040 Hmmm, that's surprising, maybe there aren't much countries left without having too many unknown quirks of their own. Do you have any suggestions?
does religion play a big role in moving towards UAE to saudi? Since UAE is a bit more liberal towards Islam but still nonetheless a muslim city, but saudi is a bit more stricter(personally which i like more).
It does not effect me personally much as I am not muslin myself. I’m very interested to explore the religious side of saudi for myself. We have a plan to visit Medina - the closest city to Mekkah, which we cannot enter as non-Muslims. Exciting for the experiences it’ll bring!
@@LeaderOfNoOne you should research Islam not trying to force you but it does answer some of the metaphysical and philosophical questions one has as a human and provides a amazing guide for discipline and other things
I think you are making a great choice. Maybe you can live in the new Neom line city when it gets up and running. I can't wait to see your videos in the future.
Hello New to your channel, unfortunately it seems I may have found out about your channel at a bad time, i wish I had found it earlier as I had a couple of trips to DXB, anyway not the end of the world, I'm happy to say that I will be flying back there. Not sure when though anyway, I also ❤ Dubai and Dubai is one of my fav places to visit and shop mostly, all of what you say is true, there's always something new going on in Dubai and lets be honest UAE, The DXB based airline Emirates is also my preferred airline to fly, for me it is a fly better experience Disclaimer here, this is my opinion and experience and has nothing to do with the opinions of this wonderful awesome airline which is Emirates thank you. Back to Dubai, it is a diverse, you meet a lot of people, I have made friends from other countries also and it is awesome. The hotels are great, some better then others, I have stayed at Premiere Inn in Al Jadaf Dubai, it was great. I may even go back there, places to visit I did some last year like Dune Bashing and quad riding, and got to ride a camel too all in one day. Those were my highlights in Dubai and one I highly recommend too. Only in Dubai. Next I want to visit the other Emirates, like Sharjah, Fujairah, more of Abu Dhabi, maybe one day.
I guess it's paradise over there if you've some serious money to bank and operate. Maybe a masters degree allowed you entry into the high 6 figure high level career job over there? I know a bachelors degree isn't enough to get a job in KSA or UAE for I tried. Does a fleet of electric trucks haul all the human toilet wastes to some secluded remote area? It looks squeaky clean and luxurious over there as the global jetsetter center of the world featuring the Museum of the Future and powerful AC's that don't freeze up.
I worked in Saudi for 5 years, it was good at that time. Now I stay in Dubai when I'm in he mid east. A good place to chill, not sure I'd want to work in Dubai again though. I still have friends in Saudi, I wouldn't live there again though, it has Makkah and Medina and that is the focus of many Muslims, but if you live near a corniche that's also nice. Driving was definitely worse in Saudi though. You can drive to Bahrain if you live in the Eastern province. Of course there are many malls and stuff, and so many restaurants (seems like many more than UK), and coffee shops galore. Dubai is great for it's location, as a 7 hour direct flight is my max these days. It'll be interesting to see what happens next in the mid east in general, if the US and Israel stop their madness, but with NATO attacking Russia, I can't imagine things getting better any time soon.
For britishers UAE is great depends what field you work I have travelled Dubai artificial country too fake I have been many times I won’t work in Dubai I love USA
I think the “soul” of a place can also come from the people in it - which dubai has a great diverse set of people. But I can agree some new developments on a surface level don’t have much character/ history :)

It looks squeaky clean and luxurious over there as the global jetsetter center of the world featuring the Museum of the Future and powerful AC's that don't freeze up.
dubai has become too expensive
habibi come to jeddah
Ur awesome buddy

I wish you would just stay still for a moment and get to the point quicker.
30deg everyday…for 6 months max then it’s 45 for the rest🙄
true
@@torpidfella293Not true. 45 from mid June to mid to late September.
@@idehenreosas3969 dont forget the humidity which makes it worse
@torpidfella293 no doubt. Just correcting the 45 degree of 6months
Dubai new part etc has no soul. All new build no histyory. Starbucks in and out in your modern apartment. Thats it.
I think the “soul” of a place can also come from the people in it - which dubai has a great diverse set of people. But I can agree some new developments on a surface level don’t have much character/ history :)
Toilets in india these days are the same..even cleaner than Dubai
WoW 25....thought older 😅
The negative fr me ia the driving. I HATE driving in dubai, its so stressful every time i get behind d wheel. In london no problem
You forgot to mention the bad traffic.
