That'd be cool
I did see a sim dancing during the moment of silence lol. To be honest though, I’m kinda okay with it being chaotic because if it was too serious I think I’d get sad. That’s just me though
i think we should have our regular 3 trait slots then an extra challenge slot or two which would include vegetarian, vegan, etc. because being veg isnt a "personality" its a preference and technically is a challenge for your sim due to the dietary restrictions.

The funerals will be just as bad as weddings. That’s why they didn’t show it, totally obvious. If I get it, it won’t be until after the Event is over and the bugs/glitches are fixed.
I think it’s more so that the people who do the live streams just suck at showcasing most exciting features; they don’t really micro manage anything and I also noticed that they fail to queue any real actions, just over talking and saying “I won’t get into that right now/I’ll let you find out for yourselves”. The streams always come off as very awkward and they miss so many opportunities to show us actual gameplay , like carrying out the funeral activities, showcasing an elder bed death, really getting into the grimtern duties few actions they did during the shift, etc
But I am still very excited for the new pack and cannot wait for the 31st! I look more forward to the game changers early access content than I do these official live streams. They do 100% better at really showing gameplay and I really wish they were the ones running the official livestreams

Plain t-shirts and tracksuits just wouldn't fit. Besides I think we already have many basic pants in the game. I want quirky, fun and unusual and this pack gives me exactly this. I think it's one of the best CAS in a long time.
Agree on this point; the pack definitely has a historical theme to go with the spooky themed stuff, and in the past clothing was usually less gendered than it is today, so imo the masculine clothing this time around makes a lot of sense.
Yeah, femenine sims gets so much cool clothing and male sims usually get boring tracksuits and pants, so glad to have more funky male clothing - obviously more clothing wouldn't hurt and if they added some extra sweatshirts and jeans I wouldn't be mad but like... yes, the death pack is gonna have victorian ghostly clothes and gothic atire guys.

What I don't get is 🚨why they (knowing they gave us the option to wear the opposite gender's clothing) then also re-categorized masculine clothes to feminine and vice versa?.. It was completely unnecessary and only ruins the sorting ability.🚨
Hell, I'm excited for the WORLD! I LOVE playing little Victorian/Witchy family dramas but the only worlds that were CLOSEST to that aesthetic were Forgotten Hollow (which was TINY) and Brindleton Bay (which was a little closer to what I wanted but not quite there). Ravenwood looks PERFECT! In fact, from what I've seen, this may become my new go-to world for Witch roleplay stuff!
I feel the same about traits. Unlocking them is so weird too. I can flirt with one other sim during a date and suddenly my sim wants to be romantic, but she plays games for hours and won't be a geek
anytime my sim with low lvl fitness is on a treadmill, she starts tripping and that triggers switching to clumsy trait every minute, its pretty annoying
4:12 not many people know this ... but we actually do have memories in the sims 4! you can go into screenshot manager after you take a pic you then can assign it as a memory. It isn't as in-depth as the sims 3's memory system but its at least something lol
@@noblepenn4816 oh a thousand percent I agree. I even went back into my game to do and I feel like the memory system got worse!! I just went into my legacy challenge to take a pic of the heir and had to scroll through hundreds of photos. They used to be at the top and you used to be able to select the sim to assign the memory. Ok so never using it again!! The one thing I will say is the sims 3 only let you keep a certain amount and keeps wanting you to share to social media - which is why I lost love for it.
after they had that patch for my wedding stories, my weddings have worked just fine. i’ve also never had issues with the dates in lovestruck. i don’t know why everyone talks about bugs and glitches like it happens to everyone. i rarely, if ever, have issues with my game.
Honestly? Same. I have all the DLC released thus far, my game is *heavily* modded, and yet, my experience has been mostly bug free (except for that stupid eye bug and the occasional LE). Lovestruck's dates have worked well for me. Still, I am concerned for the release as I have, like many other people, dealt with many annoying bugs that happened in the past. Like Sims still moving a bit after the game is paused or all Sims, regardless of gender, using the female jogging animation.
@@bluebosnian yes, i have most of the dlc except for batuu and one or two clothing kits. i also heavily mod my game with over 2gb of cc. however, i also have a top of the line gaming laptop so maybe that’s it?
@@bluebosnian To be fair using mods can break your game and I am not talking about CC because CC is almost always fine but script mods can break your game I had script mods break my game before so any bug I come across in The Sims 4 I do not know if it is the result of a DLC or a mod
Mine broke too, I was completing tasks but it wasn’t giving me the rewards - it was saying I hadn’t unlocked and progressed them even though I got the notification that I had earned them. I logged in again after restarting the EA app and they were all available to be claimed.

Love the fact you said you can play open world games on your Mac book. That's literally how I play the sims and I have every single pack including kits. It runs absolutely fine.

It's a stupid idea to begin with. If I wanted a fem male, I just used feminine clothing on him. But most times I want a masculine male and the options are so minimal.

Because it's not an actual Femenine or Masculine style tag, it's for bodytypes. If you try giving a male sim "Femenine" style clothes they clip and look really bad, so they tag things "Masculine" so you'll know it's not gonna look horrible.
There's challenge traits now? 😯 I hope lactose intolerant and vegetarian will be a part of those also so they wouldn't take slots from sims' personality anymore 😍
Everyone is so excited and I am so disappointed...EVERY OCCULT has babies, and now we can have a Grim baby, but you're telling me that a feature in TS3 could not be brought back in TS4??? Why can't we have ghost babies? And why the heck did they make the morgue a rabbit hole? We can have more than 1 live career, we had it in Get To Work. Why are we unable to run a morgue? Prepare funerals for other sims? Sell Coffins? Be a Lawyer that creates will's for other sims? This pack is shiny and pretty on the surface but its so hollow.

It's only an hypothesis but i could see why the opted-out of a live morgue career, i think it would be too grim for the sims general tone, i mean having dead sims and prepping them Sure would be' interesting gameplay but they have a pg rating to respect and death is a very touchy subject. I dare to say the same thing happened for ghost babies, im sure somewhere in the world there's a group of old Karens that clutched their pearls because "there's a d**d baby in my son's game". I agree with everything else you say, it's time to have a live law career.
The biggest surprise for me was how long the livestream was. I was expecting 30 minutes to an hour. It went on for 2 hours. I don’t know if the livestreams often go that long, but it was quite long.
This is the type of pack that really stands out as being something new for the series. I'm genuinely in high hopes of possibly getting this pack at some point. That's if reviews go well. I can only imagine what kind of mods and cc will come out for this too.
The fact that they didn’t actually show the funeral event is highly sus. As per usual, it will be buggy as f***, but everyone is going to buy this pack on day 1 anyway so EA could not give less of a s***. As long as they get their bag, they’re happy.
I watched like 80% of the stream and they actually showed a little funeral. When their sim gave a eulogy, all the guests gathered around and reacted to it (according to their relationship status with the dead sim, I suppose). They also showed altar and coffin customization, lighting candles etc. It looked great for sims standards and I’m glad they didn’t try to overreach it (like with wedding stories). ALSO, let’s note that they were playing with all packs enabled!
I'm so excitedddddd!! I hope they make it less buggy though. idk what they did last update but my build mode is wack every time I place an item it freezes 🙄
I had that issue but it was because the laptop I was using was old and not for games. I'm on console now and haven't had that problem ever since I switched
There will without a doubt be bugs, these are features that could mess with the entire lifespan of a sim. I highly doubt that they have tested a sim for an entire lifespan.
This pack is one of the first ones in a LONG time that seem to make sense by calling it an expansion pack... and is appropriate for the Sims community with all the death that always goes along with playing ;) And the build/buy & CAS items look amazing!!!
The stuff with the Grimm Reaper really *really* makes me want this. It's sending me into orbit. I hope I don't plummet, because if I plummet from this high, I will die 😂
I mostly buy packs and stuff for the aesthetic content...I make a sim and house, plop them in, have them get married and have a baby or die then I do it again!
Doing bucket lists for every sim seems like a lot of effort 😂 People go mad at the sims 3 store a lot but when you got a world from there you actually felt good about it, special lots/items, townies with lore, huge worlds

I watched my longtime friend and roommate die on Monday after a brief, awful battle with cancer. I work in hospice and geriatrics. You would think I've had enough at this point. But this pack has already been preordered because it looks amazing. And I have a goth friend on the art team that worked on this so I am very excited to see them shine.
I always look forward to Satch’s reviews for the honesty (and bc the developer livestreams are so dry). While this is a pack I’m looking forward to getting in the future, I have a lot less FOMO now, which is great, since two days ago the MacBook I play the Sims on (and do art from) died 🙃 If I can’t fix it by remotely wiping the firmware, I have a 600-1000€ repair to pay for so it’d be awhile until I’ll get to play it lol
I think I saw them show money, they showed you can choose a % to give to another household and charity so you can split it up too. but yeah not a single sim. But I'm really excited for this one!
It's been a year since my computer broke, and it was fixed just in time for this pack. I got it back yesterday, and I'm really holding myself back from buying it pre-release because it looks so damn good 🥺
Honestly the thing I’d been looking forward to the most with this pack was finally getting a proper supernatural/spooky world. Even when they said it would only be one spooky neighborhood I was hopeful, but I really should have remembered how dogshit the recent worlds have been, cuz seeing that the spooky neighborhood has even less lots than Forgotten Hollow really soured this pack for me. I don’t get it, we already have a bunch of regular worlds, would it really be that difficult to finally give us a proper occult world (aka a world that has more than like 5 lots)? I get that they wanted this pack to have features for both people that play with occults and those who don’t, but the people who don’t play with occults already have a bunch of non-occult worlds!!! Ugh I’m just salty cuz I play almost exclusively with occults, and I just want to have a world where I can place them all😭
To be frank, the event works just like Lovestruck dates and any other event. I don't feel they needed to show it because well... All you have to do is complete the goals. I believe you had bugs with Lovestruck's date but I had no more bugs with it than I have with regular events. They said the sims won't stand still, they're aware, their autonomy is bad, they didn't do a micromanaging wedding stories event for that reason (though I feel it would have been a bit more appropriate). Compared to other worlds, I hope it won't be just like Horse Ranch where lots are so far from each other when sims are passing by they are far and few, so the world feels dead. But! Crows' crossing seems to have lots close to each other and for the usual number of lots (~12) I think it's the best EP's world with current limits they give themselves. For BB & CAS, it feels not enough but I like a lot what we have (it seemed the fits were looking tailored correctly on Mortimer and I've been waiting for that). Generally, I wish we had more CAS & BB items per EP now, seeing there are a lot of categories that could need more items to have a full build... But they are capable of saying they create a new sort of pack that will cost more so heh. Choices were made and I don't agree with all of them but I think the resulting compromise is actually good and EP-worthy.
It seems like every supernatural and odd pack they make is absolutely wonderful. Meanwhile other packs are so low quality. Seems like most of the sims team is Goth
In the trailer when the elder sim died, she was in a bed surrounded by her family as her soul leaves. Is that a feature? Is that the way elder sims die now? Or was that only for the trailer? 😞

There are sooo many things in this pack, they didn´t even show off everything. I was also surprised that it didn´t come with a lot of build/buy. I think every EP should camewith new stuff to build a funtional home. So new thinks for every room.
"I think if you're one of those goths, you'll like it" followed by you showing the men's CAS and hating it omg 😂 The men's CAS is actually superb for subcultures, and so much more (imo) in-keeping with what people wear than the goth galore kit. It's also one of the few times I've looked at men's CAS and thought, wow yes that is NICE I'll wear that over custom content. At the same time, I understand. I have so few quote unquote "normal" male Sims in my game; everyone's either a vampire, a rockstar wannabe, a troubled teen, runaway, or actual alien who doesn't know how to blend in. I struggle too much trying to make just some regular dude to bother most of the time.
I just love how they can keep releasing more DLC for us to pay for, but yet they can’t freaking fix Sulani so that we can fish, along with many, many other things. I go back and look up bugs that haven’t been fixed since 2017! EA get your S$it together!

We have memories, you have to take a picture and click the camera icon than you can set the picture as a memory your Sims mood at the moment of the picture make it a happy, sad or anrgy memory. Everytime they "remember" this they feel this way they felt back than. No one bother to play with it because most Simmers don't know about it. But it's no wonder when no one shows it not even tutorials talk about it 😅

They did explain money inheritance! They said money could be given out to other sims/households/charity using percentages.

I thought I was alone in these. I used to use them but they just aren’t impactful or involved and memorable enough. I miss Sims 2 style memories.
I hate this feature. Seems so un immersive to have to 'do it yourself' when Sims 2 and 3 automatically did it.

@@noblepenn4816 oh a thousand percent I agree. I even went back into my game to do and I feel like the memory system got worse!! I just went into my legacy challenge to take a pic of the heir and had to scroll through hundreds of photos. They used to be at the top and you used to be able to select the sim to assign the memory. Ok so never using it again!!
The one thing I will say is the sims 3 only let you keep a certain amount and keeps wanting you to share to social media - which is why I lost love for it.
I stopped playing sims 4 YEARSS ago but i never miss one of your videos because i live for the shade💅💞

after they had that patch for my wedding stories, my weddings have worked just fine. i’ve also never had issues with the dates in lovestruck. i don’t know why everyone talks about bugs and glitches like it happens to everyone. i rarely, if ever, have issues with my game.

Honestly? Same. I have all the DLC released thus far, my game is *heavily* modded, and yet, my experience has been mostly bug free (except for that stupid eye bug and the occasional LE). Lovestruck's dates have worked well for me.
Still, I am concerned for the release as I have, like many other people, dealt with many annoying bugs that happened in the past. Like Sims still moving a bit after the game is paused or all Sims, regardless of gender, using the female jogging animation.
@@bluebosnian yes, i have most of the dlc except for batuu and one or two clothing kits. i also heavily mod my game with over 2gb of cc. however, i also have a top of the line gaming laptop so maybe that’s it?
@@bluebosnian To be fair using mods can break your game and I am not talking about CC because CC is almost always fine but script mods can break your game I had script mods break my game before so any bug I come across in The Sims 4 I do not know if it is the result of a DLC or a mod
I want them to fix the reaper's rewards! Mine broke with the new update. I dont think i want to order that pack now!
Mine broke too, I was completing tasks but it wasn’t giving me the rewards - it was saying I hadn’t unlocked and progressed them even though I got the notification that I had earned them. I logged in again after restarting the EA app and they were all available to be claimed.

Mine also broke. I had to do several restarts to get it to unbug so I could claim for week 5. I hope yours works out.

Love the fact you said you can play open world games on your Mac book. That's literally how I play the sims and I have every single pack including kits. It runs absolutely fine.

And before y'all saying anything, I know it's to bloat the men side so it wasn't apparent feminine side got more clothing.
It's a stupid idea to begin with. If I wanted a fem male, I just used feminine clothing on him. But most times I want a masculine male and the options are so minimal.

Because it's not an actual Femenine or Masculine style tag, it's for bodytypes. If you try giving a male sim "Femenine" style clothes they clip and look really bad, so they tag things "Masculine" so you'll know it's not gonna look horrible.
There's challenge traits now? 😯 I hope lactose intolerant and vegetarian will be a part of those also so they wouldn't take slots from sims' personality anymore 😍
Everyone is so excited and I am so disappointed...EVERY OCCULT has babies, and now we can have a Grim baby, but you're telling me that a feature in TS3 could not be brought back in TS4??? Why can't we have ghost babies? And why the heck did they make the morgue a rabbit hole? We can have more than 1 live career, we had it in Get To Work. Why are we unable to run a morgue? Prepare funerals for other sims? Sell Coffins? Be a Lawyer that creates will's for other sims? This pack is shiny and pretty on the surface but its so hollow.

It's only an hypothesis but i could see why the opted-out of a live morgue career, i think it would be too grim for the sims general tone, i mean having dead sims and prepping them Sure would be' interesting gameplay but they have a pg rating to respect and death is a very touchy subject. I dare to say the same thing happened for ghost babies, im sure somewhere in the world there's a group of old Karens that clutched their pearls because "there's a d**d baby in my son's game". I agree with everything else you say, it's time to have a live law career.
The biggest surprise for me was how long the livestream was. I was expecting 30 minutes to an hour. It went on for 2 hours. I don’t know if the livestreams often go that long, but it was quite long.
This is the type of pack that really stands out as being something new for the series. I'm genuinely in high hopes of possibly getting this pack at some point. That's if reviews go well. I can only imagine what kind of mods and cc will come out for this too.
I’m super stoked about this pack. It’s a good thing they played it with ALL the packs installed instead of just the base game like they usually do.
The fact that they didn’t actually show the funeral event is highly sus. As per usual, it will be buggy as f***, but everyone is going to buy this pack on day 1 anyway so EA could not give less of a s***. As long as they get their bag, they’re happy.

I wish everyone would just start pirating the game. Pirating the sims 4 is crazily easy and riskfree, it’s just stupid to not do it at this point.

I watched like 80% of the stream and they actually showed a little funeral. When their sim gave a eulogy, all the guests gathered around and reacted to it (according to their relationship status with the dead sim, I suppose). They also showed altar and coffin customization, lighting candles etc. It looked great for sims standards and I’m glad they didn’t try to overreach it (like with wedding stories).
ALSO, let’s note that they were playing with all packs enabled!
They did mention money in the livestream. You can give a % of your household funds either to charity (aka, deleting it) or to another household.

I had that issue but it was because the laptop I was using was old and not for games. I'm on console now and haven't had that problem ever since I switched

There will without a doubt be bugs, these are features that could mess with the entire lifespan of a sim. I highly doubt that they have tested a sim for an entire lifespan.

This pack is one of the first ones in a LONG time that seem to make sense by calling it an expansion pack... and is appropriate for the Sims community with all the death that always goes along with playing ;) And the build/buy & CAS items look amazing!!!

Doing bucket lists for every sim seems like a lot of effort 😂 People go mad at the sims 3 store a lot but when you got a world from there you actually felt good about it, special lots/items, townies with lore, huge worlds

I watched my longtime friend and roommate die on Monday after a brief, awful battle with cancer. I work in hospice and geriatrics. You would think I've had enough at this point. But this pack has already been preordered because it looks amazing. And I have a goth friend on the art team that worked on this so I am very excited to see them shine.
I always look forward to Satch’s reviews for the honesty (and bc the developer livestreams are so dry). While this is a pack I’m looking forward to getting in the future, I have a lot less FOMO now, which is great, since two days ago the MacBook I play the Sims on (and do art from) died 🙃 If I can’t fix it by remotely wiping the firmware, I have a 600-1000€ repair to pay for so it’d be awhile until I’ll get to play it lol

Honestly the thing I’d been looking forward to the most with this pack was finally getting a proper supernatural/spooky world. Even when they said it would only be one spooky neighborhood I was hopeful, but I really should have remembered how dogshit the recent worlds have been, cuz seeing that the spooky neighborhood has even less lots than Forgotten Hollow really soured this pack for me. I don’t get it, we already have a bunch of regular worlds, would it really be that difficult to finally give us a proper occult world (aka a world that has more than like 5 lots)? I get that they wanted this pack to have features for both people that play with occults and those who don’t, but the people who don’t play with occults already have a bunch of non-occult worlds!!! Ugh I’m just salty cuz I play almost exclusively with occults, and I just want to have a world where I can place them all😭
To be frank, the event works just like Lovestruck dates and any other event. I don't feel they needed to show it because well... All you have to do is complete the goals. I believe you had bugs with Lovestruck's date but I had no more bugs with it than I have with regular events. They said the sims won't stand still, they're aware, their autonomy is bad, they didn't do a micromanaging wedding stories event for that reason (though I feel it would have been a bit more appropriate).
Compared to other worlds, I hope it won't be just like Horse Ranch where lots are so far from each other when sims are passing by they are far and few, so the world feels dead. But! Crows' crossing seems to have lots close to each other and for the usual number of lots (~12) I think it's the best EP's world with current limits they give themselves. For BB & CAS, it feels not enough but I like a lot what we have (it seemed the fits were looking tailored correctly on Mortimer and I've been waiting for that). Generally, I wish we had more CAS & BB items per EP now, seeing there are a lot of categories that could need more items to have a full build... But they are capable of saying they create a new sort of pack that will cost more so heh. Choices were made and I don't agree with all of them but I think the resulting compromise is actually good and EP-worthy.

You can choose dress code while creating a funeral event. But I'm afraid if it will work, because it doesn't for weddings :/

"I think if you're one of those goths, you'll like it" followed by you showing the men's CAS and hating it omg 😂 The men's CAS is actually superb for subcultures, and so much more (imo) in-keeping with what people wear than the goth galore kit. It's also one of the few times I've looked at men's CAS and thought, wow yes that is NICE I'll wear that over custom content.
At the same time, I understand. I have so few quote unquote "normal" male Sims in my game; everyone's either a vampire, a rockstar wannabe, a troubled teen, runaway, or actual alien who doesn't know how to blend in. I struggle too much trying to make just some regular dude to bother most of the time.
I just love how they can keep releasing more DLC for us to pay for, but yet they can’t freaking fix Sulani so that we can fish, along with many, many other things. I go back and look up bugs that haven’t been fixed since 2017! EA get your S$it together!

They did mention money. You can split your money in certain percentages (I think premade) and choose where it goes, other households or a donation
We have memories, you have to take a picture and click the camera icon than you can set the picture as a memory your Sims mood at the moment of the picture make it a happy, sad or anrgy memory. Everytime they "remember" this they feel this way they felt back than.
No one bother to play with it because most Simmers don't know about it. But it's no wonder when no one shows it not even tutorials talk about it 😅
