A few tips for successful dating in the Sims 4: 1. You have to have at least 25% friendship (even in base game) for most sims to be okay with you flirting with them. 2. If Lovestruck is installed, you need to be comparable and fit their likes/dislikes (which can be found out via the relationships interactions or CAS). 4. If Lovestruck is installed, and you are not comparable with a sim or they dislike your traits, the only way to get them to 30% romance is via Social Bunny. Pretty much everything else will fail.
i have yet to have an issue getting my sims into relationships, even if they hit one or two of a partner sim's turn offs all i have to do is avoid all their disliked romantic interactions and it's golden. honestly, i find the most difficult part is keeping the satisfaction up while not interacting with the partner sim; it seems like if you havent done some sort of romantic social with them within 24 sim hours, the whole relationship just tanks itself :\ im getting tired of hearing the notification for "X and X are now *very satisfied* in their relationshop!" like pls i dont need to know that every single fecking time im just doing maintenance here x_x

I don't have much experience with this after being burned the first time or two. lol Luckily you can actually spam two social interactions, one after the other. That alone will prevent tedium. Also, Tedious Conversations aren't listed on The Sims Wiki, so I don't know if it's a mod you have that adds them, or if they're just not something that wiki contributors commonly experience.

You should be able to get rid of it by putting testing cheats on & clicking the item and choosing "destroy". Off the top of my head I can't remember the exact cheat code, I have it always on, so you might want to google "how to turn on testing cheats" for details. Hope that helps some.
