I remember I saw Daryl Hall came into a health food store in Boston. This cat is a humble dude, debonair, and got more soul than any white dude I've listened to. Too bad him and John Oates had a falling out. I hope they can patch things up and make more soul music. They are the Righteous Brothers of the seventies and the eighties!!!!!!!!

I ran into Daryl in London in the mid 90s. I live in Chelsea about half the year and I guess he still has a place in London - not sure. I went to Temple U well after him but it was fun seeing him a few times. He looks so great & fit at 70+ & I’m all about it. I always felt the same HOWEVER, I saw H&O last summer in Holmdel NJ and I heard Daryl berate the sound crew because something was off. Daryl is notorious for hating sound checks but refusing to do them before a show. I was pretty upset when he thew an F bomb during the show I attended berating the sound crew, NOT cool, Daryl...NOT cool

Daryl Hall and John Oates are the living proof that age is no barrier to pure talent. IMHO they are as fabulous now as they were in the 70s/80s - plus they have the benefit of a wonderful and hugely talented band too. I've been a fan for 40+ years and they continue to better and better. Sad that they haven't received the recognition and accolades that some 80s bands did. You should check out the music of Eliot Lewis, he is the keyboard player (although he plays many instruments superbly) in the Hall and Oates band. Eliot is a super, superstar in his own right!
