      @@ogbeem1901 no any lumps! Mine wasn't all that painful and it growed slowly, i wasn't paying enough attention to that lump so it was quite a large size before it was removed, it was a very serious and scary situation so I only hoped I did something sooner, if you feel a lump take notes, what dose it feel like? Is it growing in size like a tumor would? Dose a close family member of mine have a history of lumps of any kind?. do a little research on different lumps that lay under the skin :) cancer is worse than I expected when I had it so prevention is key I believe.

      My dad has multiple scars. He broke his ankle and has two metal plates with seven screws on each side of the plate holding it together and you can even feel the screws.
      And when my dad was in high school he was riding his bike and forgot to put his new brake pads on he ran into a car and broke his shoulder.
      And when he was 4 years old his awful grandfather threw a piece of wood at him and took his pink half off. And while at work (He works construction) he was taking down scaffolding and it was a windy day and some scaffolding fell on that same pinky and it tore it have off and he drove himself to the hospital and he had to have surgery twice on that finger.
      And he has plenty more scars. And I have a couple myself. Most scars are from when I was cutting myself.

    • @dawert2667
      @dawert2667 Рік тому

      The collagen isn’t what causes the scar, it IS the scar! Collagen is a protein that is basically glue (it’s what glue that comes from horses is). The thing that causes the scar is the inflammatory response. The body responds to a wound by filling it with collagen, which doesn’t function as well as normal cells, in order to protect the wound from infection. If you can protect the wound well, the inflammatory response isn’t so bad and the scar is lesser

    How come most of the people that I know that preach about sunscreen have skin cancer? My very own aunt who’s been wearing sunscreen religiously since I was a kid just developed skin cancer. Even as a kid I remember her lathering herself with a thick layer. How come the countries wi zero sunscreen products have a rate of zero of skin cancer? What am I missing here?

      No country has a 0 rate of cancer. People who don't have access to so much as sunscreen probably don't have access to skin cancer screenings as well.
      Sun exposure is a risk factor for developing skin cancer. While sunscreen provides a layer of protection it doesn't prevent skin cancer, you're just less likely to get it than someone who uses no sun protection.

    Do you only use the silicon bandage during the day, and scar gel at night? ❤ hope you are healthy and healed!

    Sorry to hear about what happened to you. Glad that you are doing better ❤.... I had to have surgery to remove a large lipoma from my right face cheek. I was cut from the bottom of my earlobe to where my chin starts. The dr was concerned that I would care about the scar size or that I may develop a keloid. Never had a keloid in my life. Long story short, it has been 4 yrs and the scar is not visible unless you're up close and personal and I point it out lol and it really isn't visible then. Didn't put anything on it. The scars from the stitches faded quickly too. The scar on my back, where I was stabbed, hasn't went anywhere. I got that scar when I was 14.... I'm 45 now.....

    Dave here, I had emergency open heart surgery for an ascending aortic aneurysm, I had the valve and eight inches of my aorta replaced , I barely have a noticable scar on my chest because I would firmly rub the healing incision when I could feel the layers of skin, fat, muscles healing together, this broke up the adhesions and the only other thing besides keeping washed and clean, I rubbed a slice of raw onion on it a couple of times after the skin wound was closed, I went through this again eight years later when the repair suddenly failed, and still I barely have a scar even though it goes from between my collarbones to just below my sternum, I can provide before and after pictures, the before pics are pretty scary looking, but it worked for me ❤

    I like my scars and even if I get the chance to remove them, I won't. They remind me of my past battles that I bravely fought and enable me to keep me fighting the battles that are yet to come.

    I saw a segment where doctors asked people to apply Vitamin E,Neosporin, Vaseline or nothing at all. Those using any lubricant had a much higher rate of infection so they said NOT to use anything, just keep it clean. An infected wound will scar worse. Idk about this advice?

    I used 100% shae butter on a burn. I applied a generous amount of shae butter. Wrapped the burn to keep from blistering. I do not have a scar.

    I have facial scarring beside my left eye and I slapped bio-oil on it expecting it to be all hype and it actually worked. Yes the scar is indented but it's completely skin toned no discoloration
