The feud between Ron Fuller and The Mongolian Stomper still stands as one of the best of the past 40 years. Those two guys could put on a match as well or better than anyone today.

One of my favorite on the mic is Col. Rob Parker. The absolute best! For some reason, he came across as a mix between Rosco P. Coltrane and Boss Hogg.

Great bonus topic TGBL.... Jim nailed it. Robert Fuller in SMW is incredible. What a great promo he was.

I loved Bunkhouse Buck's theme music! It was so terrible that it was good.

Robert put Corny and SMW over huge in a shoot interview. Said it was a really fun environment and got him the WCW spot.

In 1979, a new pro wrestling publication hit newsstands and magazine racks across the nation. It was Pro Wrestling Illustrated. When the first issue went to press, Ron Fuller was ranked at #10 in the National Wrestling Alliance.

As I recall Dusty and Mil Mascaras were on the cover of that first issue.

I remember those shows at Chilhowee. I worked with several of the guys in that show during my time at the Knox Co. Sheriff’s Office. Archie Gouldie(The Stomper), Chris McNew(Chris Powers), and a couple of others were fellow officers at that time. RIP Archie.
