Do you have to add a tune with a cold air intake or you can run the stock set up? Without beeing to lean or to rich?

Bone stock add on is no problem at all, you will hear and feel the difference immediately.

I went a similar route with the 3" do88 inlet pipe and a high flow filter in the stock airbox as I hear is the better option as it's enclosed to reduce heat from the air. I still hear the small flutter and cbv equivalent of a blowoff sound. Throttle response is much better! I'm looking into their tune now, I'd love to see a review of that or other tune recommendations!

Great idea. We’ll do a review of the elevate tune in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Great quick-take. I didn’t know about the intake sounds or the horsepower and torque claims so thanks. (...but you should clean that intake manifold :)

Glad you liked it. No point in cleaning the intake mani, the elevate inlet going in soon! 😜

You absolutely do not need to remove the box in order to change the oil filter. You remove the snorkel, but the air box doesn't come out.

This is true, but access is greatly improved with it gone. Good call Thomas

Installed this today and it looks and sounds as promised. But I noticed the ECU was hot to touch after a 15 minute drive, at which point it occurred to me too late that placement of the ECU on the air box was probably to keep it within temp tolerances. Now I'm worried that my ECU will get fried from overheating. Heat fins only go so far. How have you handled keeping the ECU ventilated?

Southern California 110 summers. Installed for years and years. No issues. Also no report on the forums anyone has ever had an issue. Valid concern but I can’t really speak to it. I think you’ll be fine.

Trying to decide between K&N Typhoon setup or Elevate,
so Thanks for the vid - also dope grill! where can that be purchased?

I did the k&n initially and then switched. The ecu bracket by elevate is far better. The grill is eBay by dubstop $100

IT looks like you have tight clearance between the intake pipe and the strut brace. Does it hit at all?

Good eye. The factory pipe is bolted to the head. So with this pipe I did in Italy get some vibration touching. Put a rubber grommet for now. We will be wrapping the pipes in heat tape and I am guessing that will alleviate that issue

You're right but the box being removed makes it a ton easier to work on the car. To completely remove the air box you have to remove the motor mount, lift the engine a bit. Just easier to cut it out and replace it with a cai
