Thanks Fred! Watching the Ford Tri-motor brought me back to 1961 when my dad took me to an air show in Ontario, California. Of all the planes there and of all the acrobatics going on, the Tri-motor was the most impressive of all for this 12 year old boy! Wow... I would give anything to have my dad back and for us to be there at Oshkosh watching the planes together again!
The first P-51 Mustang shown gave me an exciting back seat ride 10 years ago. The Commemorative Air Force volunteer pilot was a F18 pilot in his regular job. A flight I will never forget. Fantastic.
Great video Fred. Loved the 4th FG Mustang and the razorback Thunderbolt. The C-123 was impressive. Always like to hear those Merlins purr. This video has a very high Oh Wow factor! Thanks!
Wonderful video footage! Thanks so much for sharing! Last time at #Oshkosh saw the Air France Concorde land and a 747-400 from Air New Zealand. Loved the show!
Excellent video, particularly the P-47D-23 Thunderbolt Razorback model! Hope you will cover this rebuilt Razorback Thunderbolt with additional coverage and information.
One thing that is annoying about alot of airshows and especially this one is the announser "constantly yapping" all threw the whole flying portion telling every little thing about whats going on. He should just announce maybe the aircraft and pilot and the shut up! These are mostly airplane nerds who don't need all the constant info it's very distracting would rather listen to the sound of the aircraft. Don't even mention the loud rock music with the aerobatic acts!
No, the US Navy shredded all of the remaining airframes that weren't set aside for the various museums, so the components wouldn't find their way to Iran.
The aircraft will be judged for authenticity, and completeness of interior details like ammunition bays is a factor when awarding grand champion status. That's a big deal to get from Oshkosh, and this restoration is a high contender.
The flying show has more warbirds ad military aviation; some experimentals, antiques, and homebuilts fly, and many more are on static display. So all aspects of aviation are represented on the grounds. Our coverage this day may have emphasized military and warbirds.
Parachutists with the Stars and Stripes, National Anthem followed by flyby with the aircraft emblazoned with Honda?? Southwest airlines could have supplied an aircraft with the National Flag over all of it, just saying.
I saw Bird Dog!!!!! Those guys saved my bacon many times!!!!
Yes -- Bird Dogs have a lot of grateful friends.
look at that skyraider trying to hide in the T28 formation
That was a surprise!
Nice catch, was the T-28 used to train for the skyraider?
😂@PaddyPatrone!👍🏿

I get it! I had great adventures with my dad at airports too.
great stuff. Thanks for filming these. Seeing the F-22 next to those old war birds was a great sight.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for those who cannot see this beautiful spectacle. Cheers from France America 🤚
Thank you very much.
Awesome! Thank you for being there!
My pleasure!
@@airailimages I have got to get out there. This airport must be an old government air base?
Oshkosh is like a bunch of kids in a candy store. Thanks for another great video. Love it!
You are welcome!
I've watched your video for every day! Great stuff!!
Thank you very much.
So, so glad to see the P-47, as they've been missing from the American airshow circuit for years.
This one is especially beautifully restored.
Great images........ some very brave and courageous men piloted these planes......We could never thank them enough.....

Congratulations on the Records. Simply Spectacular.

You are very welcome.
Great final segment!
Glad you enjoyed it.
My Model T will look real good next to the tri-motors.
I bet it would. Thanks for watching.

p51 lovely merlin sizzle!
Thank you Fred from someone that can’t be there! 👍
You are very welcome!
More, more, more, please, Mr.Johnsen.
Coming right up!
adding a description to the frame would be nice so us non-flyers would know what we're looking at
Great video.
Thank you very much.
Thanks for sharing. I can’t get to airventure this year, so this helps.
And thank you for watching.
Great video! I had he fortune of flying in both Ford Trimotors a few years ago. Awesome experience
Excellent job of editing so I could get the feel of everything, without watching 'forever'!!!
Thank you!
The F-22 !
9:07 Am I the only one with a lump in my throat?
1:53 Crikey, that's dedication to detail. I presume they're not live rounds. 😥
Excellent video, particularly the P-47D-23 Thunderbolt Razorback model! Hope you will cover this rebuilt Razorback Thunderbolt with additional coverage and information.
Nicely shot, nicely edited. HIGH compliments.
Thank you very much.
It is great to have these Osh reports but part of me wishes I could just stay ignorant when the event is on because it hurts so much not to be there.
Great range of subjects and views. Excellent. New sub.
Thanks and welcome
👍👍👍
Thanks!
very nice i was sceptical but you came through big time Geat editing
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it.
Let me put it up as an 8 yo back in the early seventies: "Awe man, look at these planes!"
"attention on the taxi way. harrison ford due in at 1130 local"
He's never gonna live that down.
Nicely done for sure. Darn Canadian smoke. Great video though.
Thank you for watching and for commenting.
Jet planes, forgive me, but there's nothing more pleasant to hear than a piston engine, if it's radial then...
Can the P47D Razorback actually fire blanks? 🤔 That would be awesome to see
What's with loading belts into the P-47? For display purposes with inert rounds, I hope!
What's the story with the one engine taxi C123?
Maybe they're trying to save a few $$$, because of the high price of avgas.
I don’t know the cause, but it quit or was shut down immediately at touchdown. Other videos show the landing.
@@tench745landing was sloppy & rough.
Thunder Pig suffered an engine backfire, which caused the engine to stop suddenly.
@@johnosbourn4312 poor baby.
Such beautiful aircraft, sorry you all have to deal with so much smoke in the air.
Awesome video, Fred!!!!!!!!! Now, what is the small aircraft wearing Rumanian Air Force colors, and markings?
Thanks -- and I don't have that aircraft I.D. Will have to see if I can find it.
The American flag is never to touch theground. Never...
Anyone know what days and times the F 22 flies
Never see any A10 WARTHOGS at these air shows?

You are spot on mate..no need at all.well said.🤙
What plane is that at 7 minutes? It's not a Hercules, I know that.
C-123 - there's another video of it landing and you can see the yaw when losing engine power, they shut it down during landing.
That's a C-123K Provider.
Is that "real" ammo they're loading??????? Sure looks like it.
Are there any flying F-14 Tomcats other than those in Iran?
No, the US Navy shredded all of the remaining airframes that weren't set aside for the various museums, so the components wouldn't find their way to Iran.
@@johnosbourn4312 Thanks, John. That is what I thought . . . . unfortunately.
RFK all the way🇺🇸
Exactly why were they loading 50 cal at an airshow?
The aircraft will be judged for authenticity, and completeness of interior details like ammunition bays is a factor when awarding grand champion status. That's a big deal to get from Oshkosh, and this restoration is a high contender.
They only show military planes anymore? no more experimental aviation?
The flying show has more warbirds ad military aviation; some experimentals, antiques, and homebuilts fly, and many more are on static display. So all aspects of aviation are represented on the grounds. Our coverage this day may have emphasized military and warbirds.
Listening to the American Anthem and then seeing a Honda plane... 😂
Parachutists with the Stars and Stripes, National Anthem followed by flyby with the aircraft emblazoned with Honda?? Southwest airlines could have supplied an aircraft with the National Flag over all of it, just saying.
But the T-6 Texan sounds cooler and an airliner flyby would be lame.
How ironic! At the end of the national anthem the field was buzzed by a “Japanese” aircraft.
North American AT6
I see what you mean.
go aircorps 1st prize for sure on the razorback
A really classy job.
the benchmark for p47 for sure @@airailimages
