I can’t believe we are almost done flipping Holly’s house already! What in the world? I am in love with all the risks Holly is taking and how we are learning as we go. It was fun to thrift some items and then watch it all come together. Okay now back to work!

Man oh maaaaaaaaaan you guys - life has been such a wild ride lately but I am LOVING every single part of this chapter of mine. I can't believe we are almost done transforming Holly's home and we've been here for less than three months. I have SO much goodness coming your way and I am having honestly the best time creating this month. I am beyond grateful for you guys who keep me all going! Hope you loved this simple update xx.
Happy for you, Rachel! You deserve nothing but the best. Sending love your way always
For the canvas I would add another color. It doesn't need to be a bold color, it could be an off white just so it doesn't look bland or a blank canvas when in the wrong angle. If possible you could get even more "chunky" with the paint. With the spatula/paint knife you add more paint and try not to smooth it out to add more texture. But if you like how the texture is already idd add a off white or somthing soft color to tie in all the colors you have in the room. Maybe a light brown or if feeling bold...black or gold.
Think of Monet and Vincent. The brush strokes Re thick and heavy. Almost as if they were showing movement.
Very good job, maybe putting a few air plants will look nice on the other wall. Another canvas or mirror might look too busy
Watching from Portugal. The canvas looks great, you just need some other tone, it need's deept and shade.
The voiceover while you’re trying to remove the half wall 😂 love this whole series and seeing the whole process is great
Had me cracking up as we’ll! 😂 That would so be me in that situation
So cute!! I love the color scheme! I also vote circular mirror on that bare wall. So many square shapes going on already so I think a circular mirror will be a great contrast!
Maybe consider painting the canvas green once you change the wall color to add more color to the space that’s is complementary but not overwhelming. I like the trim on the canvas, because it ties in with the wood color on the chairs. A circular mirror feels like it would be perfect for that space.
If you're goung to paint the walla white again you can put some acrylic paint(maybe the green thats already on the walls) in spray bottle add some water to make it a lot thinner then spray the whole canvas and you would be amazed how the textures will pop out i tried that many times in my paintings.
It all looks amazing!! I really like the green!! A circle mirror or canvas piece is a great idea!
Floating shelves the picks up the wook in the benches with different pictures or art on them or greenery
Maybe keep the large diy artwork but move it more to the right and hang another tall skinny piece next to it. And I like the idea of a mirror on the shorter wall. This looks so fabulous! I am loving watching her home come together
I think shelves would be gorgeous! ❤️
Circle mirror or gallery wall of different woven baskets on the blank wall!
You should check out XO, Macenna’s living room makeover, she uses some paint on the joint compound paintings and it makes it really come to life!
I would also move the table a bit more to the left as well as the light, because if you sit on the benches now, it’s too far away I think... but maybe that’s not true. Also very curious about what the bar will look like. I’m sure it will turn out great! Really loved the ‘real’ video vibe. Thanks for letting us in to your life!😘
Could you spray paint/brush paint the joint compound canvas? Like black? Fully black or a asymmetrical design on it? So the texture still shows through and you get that aspect plus design? Then a mirror or shelves as you were saying on the other side. I think it would
Look bomb!
I love built in seating and creating a nook feeling i your home! The Sorry Girls just created a built in bench as well! They're looking awesome! 🤩🤩
Perfect setting for a dinner party.
I would like a little color on the white canvas, nothing too obvious. Maybe some lighter tones of the green just washed over some of the high bits? since you are going to paint the walls white? Then paint the frame black. I would really like you to center it somehow, unless you're planning something for the right side of the wall. And maybe a woven art piece with some texture on the left wall, to break up all the straight lines in the space. I love watching and listening to you work. I'm glad you're having a great time creating this month!
Some live edge floating shelves would look great there!!
Such a beautiful interior! Inspires me to create something similar in a project in planner 5d.
What about putting the credenzas side by side along the wall and put a bar cart against the wall that leads into the living room (the one that will get painted white!
do another art piece maybe an abstract watercolor on canvas or something with texture in blacks to bring your eyes from the pillows upwards.
greys is my favourite showwwww aaaa
Definitely something circle in the blank wall
Nicely DONE! as always!
Yall make a great team! I love what yall have so far but I'm excited for the changes as well. 😊
Loving the work shoes 🙌🏻
LOVE HOW THE CANVAS TURNED OUT😍 gonna make some soon!!
"It's like one o'clock in the morning, you should be asleep."
....she knows...
Haha
It is soo RAD!Your freaken genius 👍🔥😘
Thank you Maria!
Large circle mirror with a ledge.
What about tapestry art or like macrame that would look good on that wall. Bring in more earthy tones
Love that idea.
Great job! Now I see what it looked like when I was removing wallpaper at 2 in the morning.😂
the room turned out just GOOORGEOUS ! plz dont change the green walls they r spectacular haha . or at least keep them for few months 😂
some DIY vintage dark brown shelves with plants on the empty wall will be great ! or a brass circular mirror ! either way
I would leave the walls green
I love it!
I know it’s so trendy right now but maybe a basket wall??
a wide macrame or material piece on the o they wall
👏🏼
Def a big mirror
Sooo funny, come on, wiggle, wiggle that wall. I love how it looks so far, so pretty.
So amazing makeover ❤ Filipino Subscriber here. 😍
You're absolutely right, another canvas on the wall will look too matchy matchy. I think a matte metal frame geometric mirror will fill the space nicely. Like a triangle or circle. Its would have to be smaller than the canvas wall art so when it reflects the bar and kitchen it looks like artwork and not too busy. Just my thoughts 😊
I agree with this too, a circle mirror or wall hanging would be a great addition here that would complement the canvas.
What is liquid sandpaper?
I like how she’s working with a robe on ! Like what??????🤣
I do not suggest you shelves at all!!!
Maybe a mirror or plant hangers...
Anyway wonderful job already, you're great girl!
Where did you buy your lamp?
Linked!
A mirror will be beautiful
Your incredible
Love it ❤️
I seriously can’t wait for Holly to get her floors done so that everything looks perfect. Honestly Rachel has been working and persavering these past few months I can’t wait for her to get her own house.
She reframes what “badass” means, to me. The amount of positivity, drive and poise, its kind of like witnessing a master class in living your life on a mission. Yes her makeovers are gorgeous, and shes incredibly skilled, but its seeing her work ethic and graciousness in the midst of everything behind the scenes thats just DAMN.

@@BebyMailoa Nothing. People like to bring her past up every video like she don't have other people, Joshua Tree🥴 and whateva else to inspire her to keep it pushing.
Rachel just over there tryna Rachel in peace.
Love the canvas but it needs some color the show up more on camera anyway. How about a little black and gold . Whatever you guys decide on im sure will be great.
You should put a brass or matte black circle mirror on the plain wall
YESS!
Yes! The circle would help break up all the angles! I also though maybe a circle mirror macrame thing(not sure if anyone knows what I’m talking about) to bring in the texture from the pillows!
I was thinking a mirror as well!!
I feel like the canvas needs some color. Maybe paint the trim to kinda match the seat drawers? Love all of your ideas.
Ohhh i like that idea.
I was thinking paint it black..
I was thinking even make it more tan or beige than white... A mixture 🤔. And frame painted black!
This could be a nice addition, maybe some gold or wood-tone on the canvas, or a color that will tie in with neighboring rooms!
I actually really like the white with the raw wood, I think it’s pretty. I also think a round mirror with a rattan frame would be nice on the other wall :)
Absolutely beautiful! I’d probably do a round mirror on the other wall to break up some of the angles, since you’ve got the square pillows, the square table, the square canvas, and the angular chairs. Absolutely stunning, can’t wait to see it when it’s done!
I was thinking round woven baskets to bring in some natural texture but a mirror might be more functional and make the room larger. Great ide
Mikayla ooohhh, I love that idea!!
A round mirror could be a great addition! Gold or black trimmed maybe.
Can I just say, what a freaking boss - painting in a robe? I seriously admire you so much.
What if y’all did a subtle wallpaper or paint decal on the empty wall so it has dimension but fits the colour scheme
Great idea! The diy mommy did this in her girls room in the trailer and it looked beautiful with the floral decals!🌸
janet walker - omg... my sister just sent me that video yesterday 😂
I’m feeling it’s need some texture! That’s a great idea! I was thinking..maybe a brick wall would also look good 💁🏻♀️
Looks great! One thing to think about if you put shelves over that seating - make sure that its high enough that people won't bonk their heads when standing up and going to sit down (I learned that lesson first hand!)
Everything you did is amazing. Continuous creativity has created perfection in the design and arrangement of the rooms. I have tried to find and order decorative products on the website: daisycorners.com/. Unfortunately, we cannot find the designs in the article, but the products here are also very beautiful, the price is not too expensive. I am satisfied with them. The rooms have completely changed.
I looove how the green wall turned out. For my taste it's perfect, I wouldn't paint it white. Also I would do the same wall art again. I kinda like the symmetrical wall art style for a space like this. 🤗😘
P.S. You two would be a very successful design business 😉😍
The canvas art is so cool and easy to make! And I love how it has texture. But maybe it look cooler if its not blank. And idk if it’s just me but I feel like the art isn’t centered and my OCD is kicking in lol
I was definitely going to post this if someone hadn't yet. It's not centered at all, and it's bugging me too.
ikr?? why is it not centered!!
@@nickiummfatimah but still its not centered to the table and the light which makes it look uncomfortable to the eye
Yes!!! Especially with the light. Looks weird.
I really love how very involved Holly has been with this project because it's her place and she'll have to live with the decor and styling decisions that you both make. In that way, you are able to tailor-make pieces that fit her lifestyle and that she actually loves! I think it says so much about you and how collaborative and un-imposing you are. Love this ❤️
You and Holly are really the dream team! The house is looking SO beautiful
Notifications On ✅. Notification squad.
I noticed myself pumping my fists in the air after seeing you just posted a video, lol. Hoping to get to do similar projects like this when I have a place to play with someday. Looking forward to watching for now!!
I’m with you! I love watching these transformation videos! Inspiration is on 100!
I really loved it! although im concerned with thehigh of the art for someone who will sit there and bring the back to the wall.. but its amazing, loved it
Placing a mirror near the window where it reflects the outdoors can make the room appear larger. Just an idea.
You did a wonderful job here 💗
Anyone else think Rachel kinda looks like Eva Mendes? She's so beautiful!
Remember kids when moving heavy objects always make sure to wear your protective slippers.
Side note- I love your videos, you're so inspirational ❤
That turntable looks gorgeous and the after shots were amazing too.. Loved the video. I make content on decor and organising too. Please drop by on my channel, I am sure ur gonna love some videos. Just starting out. Would love to see you on my channel. Thanks
Definitely a circle mirror on that other wall! Looks so good!
A neon sign would be good on that bare wall, no? Looking good so far tho. Get some sleep RM! X
I just think the frame of the diy art needs color, stain in the same color of the wood you're using, maybe? , Some plants hanging from a ledge. :) Beautiful renovations!!
I would do like a black and white gallery wall maybe mixed in with some gold details and some artefacts instead of the one art piece on the main wall. It would give wall more character and talking points. Or you could do a wall of decorative plates or some other kind of decorative items. The single canvas in white looks kind of plain and off-center. Then a round mirror with a wood finish or some narrow black shelves on the small wall would look good with few decorative things. I'm sure you both will figure things out as you go... Loving the light fixture, benches, cushions and table decor...
I subscribed because I know how much it means to you
Loved the drastic change...You are unbelievable...love you.😃
So funny that spray on wall texture is a thing?? No one in the UK does that!!
I guess it's because in the US every wall is super smooth dry wall so people want to give it some texture whereas in Europe people want to have their plastered walls as smooth as possible.
Beautiful!! For the canvas, how about painting one minimal figurine over it in the center, so you can see it from far away and when you get closer you get surprised by the texture as well 😊

You remind me of that aunt that everyone has that moved south and became a boss lady and comes to visit on the holidays to bless everyone with some knowledge she gained alone in the desert
Awe 🥺
I would do a mirror on one walls and a floating shelf on the other with kind of a gallery wall-esque shelf situation so you can change out or move around the pictures or art freely when holly is wanting a little change. Hope you make some time for yourself to rest soon! ❤
That dining room table!! Heart eyes emoji!! Also those benches are so amazing!
Appreciate that xx.
Your videos are my favourites! Ps- I kind of like the bare wall? Am I crazy? Makes me feel calm, especially with the minimal art opposite it
MRS METZ!!! you are a BEAST! You work so darn Hard, so you earn it when it comes time to play hard!!! Love you girl! PROUD OF YOU!
Love that you painted in your comfy robe. Mad skills that you didn’t get any paint on the robe!!
I'm so envious too! When I paint I usually get paint freckles all over me, and inevitably some paint smears on my hands and legs.
A few smallish white frames with graphic art might look nice on that empty wall. Loved this transformation!
I like the round mirror idea for that wall. I'm loving how everything is coming together!
Cool. Thx for sharing
I agree I don't think another canvas would look good
This looks great!! Definitely has a vibe going on 😁
We have the same colour of green in our bathroom and I just love it. It’s such a relaxing and calming colour 💛
OMG!! I think this is perfect!! I wouldn’t change a thing’ the paint is cohesive with the decore, and the kitchen cabinets! Dont do any changes! Also remember negative space is always a good thing not to overwhelm the space
Love love love as always. Also living for the midnight Trulys 😆 I'm wondering if the canvas should be moved up more or maybe moved into the living room? I made that mistake in my apartment by having art too low behind my dining table bench and it made it uncomfortable to sit there/ unusable until I moved it! Excited to see what little tweaks you and Holly keep doing to the house!! You are absolute rockstars🤩
I actually sat there and it doesn't interfere but think when we tackle the living room and revamp the style - def moving it up a little.
Can't wait to see it!
Love that you don't sugar coat everything and you show that even the most "simple" things can be quite a task for anyone.
I love this as well! Just makes it so real
I love the bench, great work as always Rachel 👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿
Ughhhhhh perfection!! Not only does this style suit my family and me, but I love your mix of real carpentry, DIY and thrifting!! Sooo inspiring!
Beautiful makeover! DIY copper pipe wall shelf with some trailing plants???? Hang the shelf high so the plants trail down the wall and so that you don't hit your head when getting up from the table. 😊
Love it so far! Maybe something organic in shape in material on that wall? Either way, I know it will turn out excellent in your hands ❤❤❤
NEVER would of guessed what those benches looked like from da get go!! You gotz Mad slick with jazz in them up!! Floating shelves or a window cutout is my 2 cents!! Hoping all is well Shera, Dirty Jersey out!!!
OOOOH I Love how Rachel paces herself. Just easing her mind, body and soul.
Some people just sulk in bed and this woman pushes thru all those grey clouds, at anytime and any day.
Many blessings to lovely woman .
Lovely design of this corner 💕💕! I love the green walls and black & white design. Don’t change anything and leave the empty wall. Negative space is beautiful.
For that blank space maybe thrift some basket lids in circular shapes like wicker or even small wooden bowls in different sizes and hang them up. The circles would nicely offset the canvas, it would add more texture instead of another flat picture AND they would be decor that’s unique to the space since they’re thrifted!
Ugh!! Rachel!! Again... you are killing IT! You and Holly are legit killing it. I’m so impressed with the designing (Girl! You’re building your own custom furniture!!! I know you’ve been doing this but not to this scale! Like, come through!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rachel, I get so excited when your videos come up on my notifications. I love how you show the good the bad and the in-betweens. That is realism. Things aren't always so perfect as I see on other videos. I do agree that Holly's taste is stellar. And your execution is so helpful. I hope that you will include detail on how you will be making that corner blend in as you put the little bar situation together. often those are the things that stop me from such projects.
I JUST painted my bedroom and have some art that I love but it's drowned by the colour I painted the wall makes it appear small... I could attach it to a compound canvas (if I attach something behind it to anchor to)!!! 3D texturing white frame... I think will win. Thank you, your talent is my DIY inspiration! (Side note - your idea - that's a GREAT spot for a mirror)
This chapter in your life has been the most changing, and advancement in your UA-cam career. I love this remodel ! Remember: Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving 💁🏻♀️🦋👩🏻🔧
