If American politicians are going to ban CCP drones, then do it for the the right reasons and follow suit with computers, televisions, and everything else with a CCP micro chip. Why ban a product made on foreign soil only to reproduce it by the same company on a different foreign soil and upload a software / firmware on US soil and tell everyone it’s not the same thing. Oh, it’s a U.S. “based” company. It’s a great product. Randall Warren is genius in the drone marketing business. This slight of hand back door remanufacturing to bypass a policy is ridiculous.

Pretty sure it's only for the sale and purchase of new drones going forward. Heard there was a clause that will allow existing drones to still be legal. Not sure how true this is?!
Stefanik's actions appear driven by her broader political aspirations, potentially aiming for a spot on the Republican vice-presidential ticket. Her close ties to anti-China drone players like Skydio and AUVSI, facilitated by former staffer Joe Bartlett, reveal the self-serving nature of her legislative efforts. These bills are not about national security-they are about Stefanik's political gain at the expense of an industry that is crucial for innovation and safety.
This legislation is going to pass both house and senate. I’ve written to my congressmen to express my concerns and the impact it will have on my business. I’ll fold before I buy a DJI lookalike or overpriced garbage from a US manufacturer. Would love to see DJI negotiate a path forward - start with divesting cloud and telemetry data storage to a third party company to manage access and ensure the PRC can’t access it. There is a way forward, but buying new drones won’t work for many small businesses.
I have about $10k of DJI drones as well as $1000 in Chinese made drones. So is the government just taking $11,000 from me & banning one of my favorite hobbies? I’m so fn confused. Flying drones is therapy for me. It helps keeps me from life’s bs. I beside myself right now.
So we all have spent numerous dollars for the brand, DJI. Now the US federal government wants to ban DJI products? And the FAA’s required Remote ID compliance? Where does it stop! Even at the hobbyist level!
Ban on what level? That's pain for general user like us...if DJI from other country what it will be like... If US can't make something superior , don't say 'Ban' on everything pathetically.

HOLY HS1T! - I thought we had it bad in the UK but this is just mental! For starters when we lost our access to hand guns we got compensation (about a 3rd to a half of the actual value) but what I see here is USA fliers losing their drones altogether! How many people can afford >$5000 for a drone let alone $7600. All those people with legacy drones will be legally grounded and for why? Yes some idiots fly in an irresponsible manner and need action taking against them but this looks to be taking the pass-time / hobby / business and making it totally unreachable to many. Is this why its really happening? Remove the sales and remove the idiot fliers? Is it just home economics driving this?
It's being driven mostly by skydio and other whining drone manufacturers who can't compete with dji. They've hired "experts" to create this false idea of security concerns and paid lobbyists to get the message out to politicians. Politicians are happy to invent a problem or even pretend that there is a problem so they can pretend to fix it as if they're doing something useful.
So Anzu wont have anything to offer that is comprable to the DJI mini 3? or its price point? I was just on the verge to purchase one...now Im holdin off....geeze, it pays to research before you buy....Im Ok with Anzu but those $5K-$7K prices....I hope that is just their top of the line fleet....will there be minis for uner $1k? from Anzu? That is the questions, and that is the answer.
If they produced clones of any of the minis and they followed the same pricing scheme as the Raptor, then I would expect a Mini 4 Pro clone to be around $1400, Mini 3 Pro about $1100, and Mini 4K to be $450-$500. I don't know what the Mini 3 is selling for but just take that number and multiply it by 1.5x
Anzu emerged in early April so we don't have much information on if and when they will create other drones and if the price points will continue to be higher than DJI's current drones.
If this goes through we won't be able to register those drones. There would also be an embargo on them so anybody who ships it here will be taking a risk of it never arriving to the purchaser. The FCC license would be revoked too I'm not sure if there's any way they can stop them from working but it would be a crime to use them. May not be able to get insurance for using an illegal product and may not be able to get some customers if they ask about the product we're using
The DJI apps and servers are probably how a ban would work. If any DJI product ever needs to verify an account or some other reason needs a connection before allowing operation, that's the end of flying the drone. Would be great to have an app for DJI drones that is independent and without data/ server needs. The orphaned DJI users would pay for such a thing.
If they eventually sell a Mini clone at roughly the same kind of price as their mavic clone, yeah id consider it. Especially down a timeline where DJI is banned or wrost-case grounds our currently FCC licensed drones.
That was a different ban this one is a bill by Elise stefanic in New York that would tax them to oblivion before completely banning them. There is also a bill that would disallow them the FCC licence that's needed. I'm not sure if it's the same bill or a different one
I agree with others... i have many dji drones and lots of money invested... if the government gonna stop me from using it for the dumbest reasons yet(what about chinese phones, tvs, and everything else chinese made thats in america) then they can pay me for my drone...straightforward cash or i can write it off on taxes(many loopholes to write what you want off/knowledge is good) but no, i wont buy from a company like this thats selling a dji drone for more money than dji sold it for... screw that. Ill keep building long range freestyle/cinematic drones...
I think that the only reason that this DJI ban exists is because Anzu has no opponent in the US when DJI is gone. they are doing this because its better for them, not for the rest. And its a green DJI enterprise that costs 3 thousand dollars more 😅
How exactly is Anzu going to take over when it's product is licensed directly from dji? They haven't created anything original they're just creating a work around to the potential us ban.
For foo;s. "Your data is secure its not in China because its a 'US' drone that is not made in US its software is being made in US and installed in US probably by some offshore team in India or Russia or China" but hey.... its American company so you have to pay another 2K for the same thing.
Anzu is a "few guys" who set everything up but they're not making anything. The drones are made and assembled in Malaysia Anzu purchased a license from DJI for the technology and is doing all the stuff to have them produced, shipped, loaded with software and distributed, along with all the business stuff. You know the liability, taxes, lawyers, marketing, all that crap...
Guess the rest of the world can fly the best of DJi drones while US uses the best of America. Without any competition of course. Great strategy to close door on your rival and free from competition and in isolation. Likewise, with USD trend today.
This is a DJI drone. People are so gullible to think that this is a us-made drone. This is the same thing that was done with Hubsan drones a couple years back.. just like with the Hubsans/Black hawks price shot through the roof
This is crazy! This is another way of DJI controlling this drone and how it works. The question is... Does DJI have full control where this drone is built? Does the country where this drone have the same rules for not allowing China's control in production? The answer is NO! So, this is a loop-H that banned products can be produced no in banned countries but they still have 100% full control how things are. Software is a convert it up, any parts of the drone can have hidden malware and no matter what you use it, the malware could do anything when enter the USA ISP. This is how the USA functions today! A bunch of idiots in power.
I live in New Zealand and love my new mini 4 pro by DJI but that's what the shop had so that's what I got. If there was a drone made in America and a drone made in China sitting on the bench beside each other I would probably buy the American drone, for no other reason than it was made in the USA. Unless there was something obviously wrong with it of course
That's the problem, Pirate, the US version will not be as good and it will be more expensive. This is US capitalism trying to push out a company and product they cannot compete with. As a US citizen, I am thoroughly bullshit over this and wanna know what my government is going to do to ban ALL ITEMS manufactured in China. I mean, they're gonna spy on us no matter what, so what's to stop them from putting little devices in all the other goodies shipped and sold here? This whole thing is SO stupid and baseless.
I would mode your comment up 1000 if I could. I'm not even in the USA and the stupid DJI geo fence crap is harsher then existing sub250 regulations to fly a mini - there is NO legal need for mftr auth zones and being it is just software, should be able to disable NFZ, ALT.
So where is it made? And, are we banning ALL non domestic drones in the future? The average user is being squeezed out of this industry pretty quickly.

They're making a terrible entrance by overcharging for a copy of a drone possibly to banned! Guess if you can't BEAT them BAN them! American drone consumers are potentially being screwed because American drone makers couldn't compete! Ugly entrance!
He was the DJI Enterprise brand manager before he was at Autel!
Randall Warnas If I'm remembering correctly.
Expecting an American made product for the same price as the Chinese manufactured product is unrealistic. On top of the cost of producing the drone they also have to pay the license fee to DJI And the cost of developing the software.
@@jerseyshoredroneservices225 Here's what I want...Freedom to CHOOSE the product that I want to buy. That use to be an American value. No one should be forced to pay for a lesser product or higher prices because the government is using the "Can't beat em so ban em" strategy."
@@frankc.9853
I agree, that's what I want too.
But the reason that we're having trouble getting what we want isn't the fault of Anzu it's the fault of skydio, their lobbyists and politicians like Elise stefanic. Don't blame Anzu for offering us a workaround.
I would doubt they will ban DJI.
Never doubt the governments ability to do something stupid.
@@John_Doe_6996100%
The bill is out of committee and on the way to the Senate. So... there you go.
@@ElChingonFPV Chuckles, oh boy you know how to half-ass regurgitate what you've heard.
@@besomewheredosomething I read the bill. Checked the Congressional bill tracking tab on Congress’ website (with a summary of the bill). I have worked with federal regulations since graduating law school in 2005 and often reference the summary of proposed laws and track them in real time using the site. It is fact that it has been sent to Senate. Not sure how that vote will go but probably not well since the drone bill is attached to defense spending.
If The government bans DJI, they should buy all our drones from us, we didn’t pick them up off the streets you know, we bought them with our hard earned money.
The Government said "you are nothing but a slave, all you money belong to us"
I read an article that DJI would import their parts to this company (Anzu) and they would assemble them in the US as a work around the ban.
How much does the model without thermal imaging cost?
If American politicians are going to ban CCP drones, then do it for the the right reasons and follow suit with computers, televisions, and everything else with a CCP micro chip. Why ban a product made on foreign soil only to reproduce it by the same company on a different foreign soil and upload a software / firmware on US soil and tell everyone it’s not the same thing. Oh, it’s a U.S. “based” company.
It’s a great product. Randall Warren is genius in the drone marketing business. This slight of hand back door remanufacturing to bypass a policy is ridiculous.
Excellent video thank you
its sad that US buy inexpensive stuff at expensive price
Problem is the drone world isn’t populated with consumers who are willing to spend 6 thousand on a drone rite out …especially not knowing of the company and if they even produce quality aircraft
I thought Anzu was made in some country in Asia near China. Is that correct?
Pretty sure it's only for the sale and purchase of new drones going forward. Heard there was a clause that will allow existing drones to still be legal. Not sure how true this is?!
TIME TO PAINT MY DRONES GREEN
Stefanik's actions appear driven by her broader political aspirations, potentially aiming for a spot on the Republican vice-presidential ticket. Her close ties to anti-China drone players like Skydio and AUVSI, facilitated by former staffer Joe Bartlett, reveal the self-serving nature of her legislative efforts. These bills are not about national security-they are about Stefanik's political gain at the expense of an industry that is crucial for innovation and safety.
Anzu is on the ban list with DJI.
Wow
This legislation is going to pass both house and senate. I’ve written to my congressmen to express my concerns and the impact it will have on my business. I’ll fold before I buy a DJI lookalike or overpriced garbage from a US manufacturer. Would love to see DJI negotiate a path forward - start with divesting cloud and telemetry data storage to a third party company to manage access and ensure the PRC can’t access it. There is a way forward, but buying new drones won’t work for many small businesses.
Yeah, good luck with that. TikTok basically offered the same and still Congress banned them.
I want to know the paint code of the green used by Anzu drones.
I have about $10k of DJI drones as well as $1000 in Chinese made drones. So is the government just taking $11,000 from me & banning one of my favorite hobbies? I’m so fn confused. Flying drones is therapy for me. It helps keeps me from life’s bs. I beside myself right now.
It’s not made in the US. It’s US owned.
There's a bill in place that could ban DJI drones from all U.S. citizens.
And where can we even get these drones?
I enjoyed this video and am considering purchasing an Anzu Raptor.
Does Anzu Robotics have warranty (repair or replace) similar to the DJI company?
It looks like they haven't begun selling the Raptor series to everyone but you can submit some information on a form to see if it's right for you. You can check out more information here: www.anzurobotics.com/
Unfortunately what they don't have is a clone mavic 3 pro cine. The cam specs on that thing doesn't even hold a candle to cine premium.
It is a DJI clone, and more expensive. Like it or not, that is what they will allow USA consumers to have, apparently.🤔
Not sure if there are plans to reduce the price at all, but that is what it looks like at the moment.
Dji still in top, dji 4 ever
Out of all the colors they chose green
Assemble in Malaysia & that thing is really pricey
I’ll buy American period if that happens .
Id rather buy from anzu than buy skydio if they ever release civvy versions
It will be interesting to see if the prices decrease at all.
So whats going to prevent a US consumer from buying DJI poducts from an online seller overseas or even just Canada?
If this goes through we won't be able to register those drones. There would also be an embargo on them so anybody who ships it here will be taking a risk of it never arriving to the purchaser.
The FCC license would be revoked too I'm not sure if there's any way they can stop them from working but it would be a crime to use them.
May not be able to get insurance for using an illegal product and may not be able to get some customers if they ask about the product we're using
decades ago saying china is a copycat. in the modern era, who is a copycat now in drones?
If they offer a mini 4 pro version at a more reasonable price I'll get one 😊
Clearly not targeting the consumer market with those prices.
Specta on Amazon are already doing this
I thought the proposed Dji ban only pertained to government funded agencies, not private citizens.
Unfortunately, if the ban goes through, it applies for everyone.
And its a green DJI enterprise that costs 3 thousand dollars more 😅
Cool idea I guess, except for the cashgrab pricing, which is predatory. Also the green color is horrible. Could they not have chosen something else?
Perfect Anzu Robotics time to take over baby freedom will always prevail bless USA!!!!!!!!!
How exactly is Anzu going to take over when it's product is licensed directly from dji?
They haven't created anything original they're just creating a work around to the potential us ban.
It would cost $10,000 if made in USA just like everything that's made here. Nothing is isn't cheap of great quality in the US. Especially military
Bro $5k that’s crazy man….
Hopefully it decreases with future models!
Wow!!! That is pricey!!!! Ouch!!!
Yep! Hope the price decreases as more models get released!
For foo;s. "Your data is secure its not in China because its a 'US' drone that is not made in US its software is being made in US and installed in US probably by some offshore team in India or Russia or China" but hey.... its American company so you have to pay another 2K for the same thing.
If their mission planning and flight SOFTWARE are as comprehensive and reliable as DJI's sure... but this is highly doubtful.
They can ban all they want, i'll still build my own freestyles and fly them, tickets or not. lol
ONE OF THE BEST ANZU DRONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And now we know the real reason DJI is looking at getting banned. How convenient for Anzu.
We heard that Anzu drones are actually blueprints of original DJI just made in USA!!!!!!!!!!
They're made in Malaysia....
I just started looking into what it takes to get a drone and now I'm hearing the DJI may be banned?😂😭
Just keep flying it
Paying $7000 for a Mavic 3 without Hasselblad optics seems like a shitty deal.
Does anyone here own an Anzu Raptor? If so, is it as good as a DJI drone?
Guess the rest of the world can fly the best of DJi drones while US uses the best of America. Without any competition of course. Great strategy to close door on your rival and free from competition and in isolation. Likewise, with USD trend today.
This is a DJI drone. People are so gullible to think that this is a us-made drone. This is the same thing that was done with Hubsan drones a couple years back.. just like with the Hubsans/Black hawks price shot through the roof
But a 10k drone is too much. Anzu had better start making the rest of the air line as well.
My new DGI 4 mini pro has a sticker that says the drone itself is now made in Malaysia. Everything else is made in China.
But first got my attention was the sticker on the bottom of the box. It says made in Malaysia.
Color...why?
It's like DJI "green card"! kkkk
A bunch of idiots in power.
this sounds like aprils fool.. but wait it's june!
Why would we want to pay thousands more
Just paint your mavick green.
Would you still buy the American one at 1.5x the price of the reputable Chinese one?
That's the problem, Pirate, the US version will not be as good and it will be more expensive. This is US capitalism trying to push out a company and product they cannot compete with. As a US citizen, I am thoroughly bullshit over this and wanna know what my government is going to do to ban ALL ITEMS manufactured in China. I mean, they're gonna spy on us no matter what, so what's to stop them from putting little devices in all the other goodies shipped and sold here?
This whole thing is SO stupid and baseless.
Nope, I am done with drones. Not paying all that money for a drone.
Hopefully the prices decrease with future models!
so its a mavic 3 that costs way more and is missing features
They are high quality made in USA this is exactly what we been looking for amazing.
At a $2000 higher price tag for the exact same thing, and they're made in Malaysia....
Does it work with dji goggles?
Not sure! Most likely if they make more drones, they will make their own goggles to go along with it.
I just want a good solid drone that doesn't require authorization to fly. We already have laws that affect only the stupid people.
I would mode your comment up 1000 if I could. I'm not even in the USA and the stupid DJI geo fence crap is harsher then existing sub250 regulations to fly a mini - there is NO legal need for mftr auth zones and being it is just software, should be able to disable NFZ, ALT.
Build one yourself, it’s not that difficult, just need to learn how to solder, which is a good skill to have in general.
So where is it made? And, are we banning ALL non domestic drones in the future? The average user is being squeezed out of this industry pretty quickly.
It seems Anzu's drones are made in Malaysia.
Made in Malaysia and as far as I know the bills seeking to ban certain drones are for country of origin (China)
A bit more expensive!? Get lost with your American dream!
That’s a DJI Air 3 Clone for 7k it’s ridiculous 🤦♂️
I’ll just paint my DJI green. I doubt legislation will be passed, except for category 1-4 flights, which already exists. Naturally I’d be pleased to have competitive chinese alternatives. I’m tired of “made in china”
