    I am going to buy first ever stroller, I am looking for small and compact as I have backpain issues, can you please answer few of my questions: 1. can travel prams like this one be used as the fulltime pram for everyday use? 2. how important is foot rest as all of these don't have one, or could you recommend a light compact easy to fold pram with foot rest?. I will be really thankful for the answers from you or the audience plz.

      Hi! We have bad backs so our full time stroller is the vista with extension clips for the car seat so no need to bend down so low. The minu is for travel and short trips. It fits on the overhead compartment, under the seat in a plane, and it can take the mesa car seat.

    hi. thanks for this video! i'm considering the Minu as a lightweight replacement for our aging Britax B-agile stroller from our first child.
    I saw some negative review in Amazon about reliability and durability of the Minu, mostly wheels that are getting stuck, problems with the brake system and broken canopy attachments.
    are you aware of any of these? would you still recommend to get the Minu or is there anything else I should be looking at? thanks!

    Hello - I’m looking at the Minu, Ergo Metro, and City Tour 2. We do frequent short trips in Europe so are looking for something that can handle cobblestones but also folds down to a compact size for easy travel, not necessarily carry on size. We will be using the stroller with a 6 month old child. Based on your reviews I’m nearly set on the Minu but would love your opinion. Thank you for these excellent reviews and comparisons!

      Thanks, glad you like our reviews :) If it doesn't have to fold down to carry-on size, then I would first recommend the Joolz Hub, but if you're set on getting an ultracompact, then yes, the Minu will probably work best for you.

    Thank you again for a great video. Would you be willing to do a head to head video comparing the minu and the Cruz v2? We are really torn between Minu's compactness vs. Cruz's suspension. We have a dog so daily trips to our grassy park will be a routine use case of the stroller, but also because of the dog, cargo space is limited. Thank you!

    • @justkamola
      @justkamola 2 роки тому

      New one seems more upgraded in design and we have been told that its 2 lbs heavier (could add some sturdiness?) What could be plus is that you can use a real ub bassinet with new version, but now the birth kit is not compatible with v2, so u cant fold v2 with bassinet insert. The leg rest is adjustable which is a huge plus for infants/younger toddlers

    Hi, i bought this stroller a year and half ago. After 6 months, i had alignments and folding mecanism issues, uppababy france send me a new chassis. After 1 year broken bearings in front wheels. Now i have a new surprise: the 5 point harness is too narrow for my 18 months girl. is it possible to put on a new harness?
    I love this stroller but it gives me too many problems

    Unsurprisingly I've got an issue with the brakes - the wire cable is worn out and it doesn't seem too easily replaced. Have you serviced the brakes before? Do I need to take the rivets off? It doesn't seem easy.

    I just bought a brand new minu. Everything’s great apart from the fact that when the pavement is even slightly uneven, it sounds like a supermarket shopping cart. Is this normal? Considering its price, I’m disappointed.

    Hi! I would love your advice. I have a barely used Minu sitting around that I once adored pushing and I want to use it again. There's hair wrapped around the front wheel on the left and it has basically rendered it unusable. Uppababy have said that I must not remove the wheel or the warranty is void, because the bolt is glued together and they're saying I need to buy a new front wheel, for $40! all for the sake of some hair. It seems so wasteful too, to replace a part just because it needs cleaning. At this point they can stick their warranty, but can you help me get the wheel off? It is so, so tight and I don't know what to do!

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  3 роки тому +3

      Hi :) Definitely not a reason to replace the wheel. It's a while since I worked on a Minu, but the front axle wil either be a matter of screwing off (using 2 screw-drivers with hexagonal-shaped bits), or it will be a cap and locking washer set-up, like in this video: ua-cam.com/video/SInTkFAUi6k/v-deo.html
      Alternatively you can cut out and unwind the hair, without removing the wheel, using a pair of nail-scissors - it's messy and takes a little time, but getting most of the hair out, and then spraying with a little wd40 will usually get the wheel rolling again :).

    Love your detailed reviews! What do you think of the from birth kit?
    I’m on the search for something lightweight to push that doesn’t take up too much space in my small home and can easily squeeze into coffee shops with me but can also handle some gravel paths and rough sidewalks, manicured parks etc. I really want something that has a bassinet rather than a car seat adapter for the newborn phase. I’m looking at the minu, city mini GT2 and joolz hub. I’m worried the joolz hug is too heavy, and I don’t like the bar that blocks access to the storage basket on the GT2, but the birth kit for the minu looks possibly not sturdy enough for everyday use. Is there another option I’m overlooking?

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 роки тому +2

      For a smaller kid, it would work for daily use in an urban environment, and I suppose driving-wise it will probably be a little better than the Bee due to the suspension, but if you're considering the Bee anyway sizewise, then how about the Joolz Hub?

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  3 роки тому +2

      The 15 kg weight limit I quoted here is the result of EU regulations, and on some of these older reviews, I took my weight info from European sources without realizing it. The true weight limit for the Minu is 22 kg. :)

    Overall would you recommend this pushchair? I currently have a Baby Jogger City Mini GT (great piece of kit but still too heavy). I live in a second floor apartment with no lift, I have an 8 month old to lug down and back up the stairs everyday as well as a pushchair and a backpack. I have been looking into ultra lightweight pushchairs and trying to find one that is car seat compatible, has a good sized basket and handles grass and bumpy terrains okay. Do you think the Minu would meet my needs? The main downside to this for me is the recline... There's so many pushchairs in this category but I'm struggling to find one that will work for my family! The Minu is also only £199 in the UK currently.

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  5 років тому

      The Minu is great, but after the Mini GT, you will probably be disappointed. I can't really think of anything between these 2, unfortunately - especially not if you need something that works off-road. What you need is probably more of an out-of the-box lifestyle solution, like a safe place to lock up your stroller on the ground floor. Wish I had a model for you, but these 2 are too close in weight and capability :)

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 роки тому +4

      Sure. The Minu is a more sturdy and drivable stroller overall, but the Tour 2 will work as carryon luggage on a greater number of airlines (and is otherwise pretty well engineered as well, probably my 2nd pick for ultracompact travel strollers after the Yoyo+). So, if you're looking for a travel stroller for airline use mainly (for a smaller kid where you need the stroller in the airport up to the gate) then I would go with the Tour2, but if packing your stroller down to cabin luggage size isn't that important for your travel plans, then I would go with the Minu. :)

      Yes. We just published a comparison with the yoyo+ if you're interested. I would say that for everything other than it's folded size (which also means how comfortable it is to carry around with that shoulder strap) and a slightly inferior brake system, the Minu is a much better stroller.
