Sorry SuicideBoys, even though I do like some of their music 1st thing I said after hearing their stuff was "I bet DJ Paul is rubbin his hands together like Birdman listening to these guys jack their whole style." Who cares if they produced a mixtape or 2 for Juicy J? Artists do that all the time, chop it up & they both benefit from the colab. Also, DJ Paul/Juicy J have been clearing 3-6 Mafia samples for years, why would they let these two jack so much from them for free?

They gotta pay... can't be inspired by 3' 6 but constantly biting 3 6 sound and style. Gotta pay up. If I sampled RZA's sound because he inspired me, but I kept biting non stop , RZA would come after me. Another case of tracing a prior style. Three 6 mafia sampled alot of Willie Hutch, but they made the dark sound around the sample... Suicide Boys is basically steeling that dark sound 3 6 made all their concepts and style... basically Weird Al Yankovic.... making money mimicking 3 6 mafia
Suicide Boys fucked up by going after Seed of Six. DJ Paul and J were cool with SB even tho they were sampling 3 6 before they even met. That was a cool move that they didn’t need to do. They could have just came straight at them with the suit. SB got checked because they got mad about SOS. It could have been all love but SB spoke out of turn against family and signed artist of DJ Paul. That’s how I see it at least. The money isn’t the motive. 3-6 owns all the rights to their records and don’t need it. The lawsuit is a necessary flex and I would bet that this gets settled out of court with little to no money and a convo with monetary weight behind it involved. DJ Paul and Juicy J are cool as fuck but won’t be played with or become engaged with these youngsters without the major upper hand.
My guess would be that DJ Paul already tried to squash whatever with SB before the lawsuit behind the scenes. Paul didn’t feel the proper respect or whatever so he came with some business shit. Even if that isn’t the case, the suit is still justified tho. For SB to come after Paul’s blood publicly, with everything that 3-6 has done for them, is disrespect that business savvy, smart OGs like 3-6 don’t and shouldn’t fuck with. Juicy J worked with them for a deal that was against his best interest financially I’m sure. I could go on and on but just listen to some 3-6 mafia (specifically DJ Paul) interviews and you’ll get what it is based on character.

I’ve been listening to Three Six Mafia since they First came out and there was NOTHING like it and anyone caught listening to them were deemed automatically Goth, Satanic and Just way Too Gangster compared to everything else in the Early years that was coming out. They’re true pioneers of a Genre that Took DECADES for the masses to catch on to AND now when the Younger generation are growing up Embracing what was established for them the LEAST they could do is GIVE credit where it’s Due and PAY YOUR ROYALTIES. The suicide boys wouldn’t even be relevant to begin with if it wasn’t for the FOUNDATION Three Six Mafia built Over DECADES!

It kinda sucks but juicy and paul have to protect their IP or it will set precedent and other people will sample their stuff and not pay royalties. I just wish it could have been hashed out outside of the courts, and I think most fans of both sides probably feel the same way.
Y’all need to understand a sample, is a mf sample, seed of 6ix DEADASS took whole ass verses and $b beat and rapped along with it scrim is a PRODUCER and has always put more beats over samples and have used them correctly ofc they gon be upset tf

Yeah, they straight bite three 6, they're not simply inspired by the .
And Scrim calling himself Scarecrow .. gross.
This is what happens when you are no longer in the spotlight. You chase successful rappers. $B, keep doing your thing. 3-6 is ancient at this point.

I'm really digging these vids you do for no jumper

The art of music production is resampling some of the greatest songs ever in the history of hip hop. Three 6 sampled HELLA artists without clearing the samples withthe other parties, $uicideboy$ did the same thing and learned the hard way when they got sued by deadmau5 a few years ago, if they didnt learn by then it really falls on them...besides if i remember correctly, ALL IS FAIR GAME AS LONG AS THE MATERIAL BEING SAMPLED DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A DIRECT RIP OFF THE ORIGINAL, meaning any slow down tempo, pitch bending, looping, cutting, redrumming etc is FAIR GAME. Three 6 being hoes
Deadmau5 didnt even sue. He said just scrap the entire track and remove his shit. But if you sampled SB and they sued you would they be some hoes ?

DJ Paul warned them in his Who Run It freestyle
“I own the masters to my tapes, ain’t gotta rap another day.
And to you rappers that don’t clear them, just know your track ain’t safe!”
But $B easily has more clout than T6M and Seed of 6ix. So while I viewed $B using T6M samples as more of an idolization, what Seed of 6ix is doing is just clout chasing.
