Ruby getting the vocal appreciation he deserves
It was nice seeing his recognition.
you kinda hit a gold mine niche by giving a vocal reaction to $uicideboy$. I don't think this has ever been done on youtube yet.
There’s a few music channels that cover the boys. She’s gonna get hooked like the rest hehehe
@@A_LOST_GOD I think he meant vocal coaches and not just reactors in general
@@EastOfEden96 There are many vocal coaches that have reacted to suicideboys, most end up really loving their vocals for how unique they are.
@@oddiethefox5832 who?
“the amount of fry” ma’am he was high as a kite recording this 😭
YEAH FR
I was bout to type this too 🤣🤣
bro a fry is a vocal technique NOT a smoking term....
@@Joeycat56 fr though, you still have to have the skill to sound like this regardless of how high they are lawl
I also think his heroin use impacted his voice here and especially in I want to die in NO.. heard other heroin users talk with a growly low voice similar to Scrim’s. Maybe I’m wrong tho
the "fry" in Scrims voice is from the amount of drugs they USED to do lol
i always wonder which drugs besides coke effects ur voice
@@beanzZzTF Xanax definitely makes you speak in more of a fry, especially when using a lot of it.

I think the best thing that has come out of independent music artists like $uicideboy$ is the use of dissonance as an asset rather than seeing it as not being “radio friendly”. The art of Dissonance is something that was lost due to radio play and artists like them are bringing it back.
very on point
Can u react to lil peep
They were very deep in addiction when they released this; their new releases are on a different level, and they are sober now
Their new stuff sucks
@ New World Depression is awesome
@@dhaot23a lot of the older fans really hate the new stuff just don’t pay attention to them
@@austinb3560 that is your opinion, I have been there since 2015 and I love their new stuff just as much as the old stuff... you can not stay the same and expect to grow that goes for anything sure they could keep doing what they were doing in 2015 still and you know how many fans they'd have just the same ones they had in between 2014 and 2015.... sorry I just think it is ridiculous every time I hear anyone say their new stuff "sucks" because it does not fill this notion of who they see "$uicideBoy$" as being and hey if you really don't like it that is fine just if your a fan of them its weird to be a fan and basically call their heart, sweat, blood, & tears crap
@@tokemjuju8250 not to mention, music changes over time naturally, especially when drugs were a factor for older music
believe me, once you get into these guys music you won't be able to stop finding interesting stuff
She will have face tats and be poppin percs in no time 🤣

thanks for this i love when ruby does his vocal stuff and i just gotten into them i rlly love the i want to die in new orleans rnn if u got any recommendations tell me pls and thank you for this.
Usually watch vocal coach reactions for rock/metal bands a $B vocal coach reaction is definitely a first
Second this. But ruby has been going wild since the old Travis Barker album
I felt so much absolute pure joy watching this, SOMEONE FINALLY EXPLAINED IT AHHHHHHH
literally, I always say they scratch an itch no other artist has for me yet
I love that u have absolutely nothing negative to say abt any artist u listen to, it makes watching your reviews rlly satisfying and pleasing.
I checked your recent uploads. This video didn't do as well in terms of views as your recent uploads, but please, I hope that won't stop you from reacting to more of their music. I really enjoyed this! Please do more!
Fun Fact: They layered three vocal tracks for each verse. Harmonizing with themselves.
And to those I love, thank you for sticking around - $uicideBoys !!
The first guy ruby has 2 solo punk eps were he goes by the name duckboy if you are looking to dive into his vocals more. These guys also have a TON of aliases they go by so no worry every newer listener gets confused! great reaction, never heard the boys be dissected like this you really give incite that i myself couldn't articulate with my own word.
Finally seeing a reaction like this. $B has amazing vocal talent.
Quick Things to mention.
Ruby (the first vocalist you hear): Former Punk Rock/ Metal Singer.
The reason for the tones and chords he creates are due to genre mixing his vocal sub tones.
Scrim (the second vocalist): Scrim has always been hip hop more or less. His tone and vocal mixing is based on what we know now as "Heroin Flow". Letting his vocals remain raspy and "affected" (by substances) if you will. If you was to listen to older Punk/Emo bands or older Memphis Style rap groups you would most likely be able to decipher between where they choose to put certain Vocal patterns.
Please keep up the $B reactions! As one of my favorite artists, it is cool to see others listen and analyze their music like that!
Been waiting for a trained vocalist to react to $B for literal years now. Their range of talent, skill, and personality will leave you in awe.
Edit:Sorry about the people arguing below me. They're a bunch of idiots. Thanks for 190 likes, dweebs.
LOL there isn't much talent or skill here.
@@FinalFlash2110 she was pretty invested and seemed giddy talking about the vocals
but you seem to comment more than watch anything 😂
@Ghost_Sol420 She is doing her job. It doesn't mean they are talented lol. 😂
@@FinalFlash2110maybe you should get one and get offline for a bit bud
@corbinrulez123456789 come on, you can do better than that. Thats not even a good one.
This is so beautiful. One of my all time favorite songs.
Maybe react to ”$uicideboy$ - Are You Going To See The Rose In The Vase Or The Dust On The Table”
Yes please 🙏🏼
frrrr
100%
absolutely. my fav song by them right now
Yesssss best song
We DEFINITELY need more suicideboys reactions!
Didn’t expect to see one of my favorite bands on your channel, and I’m all about it. Really neat to hear the analysis you gave here.
They get some hate and negativity (as seen in some of these comments) but their overall style and musical ability is incredibly alluring and rather unique. Especially considering where they started and how their sound has grown over the past 15ish years.
Looking forward to seeing you experience more of their music!
I will say this about their songs: some of it is quite dark and deals with themes of substance abuse, isolationism, aggression/violence, and generally bleak outlooks on life.
However that darkness has helped many folks (myself included) get past their own personal demons during difficult and trying times. Which adds a special and deeper layer to the music.
This is my first reaction from you I’ve watched…and I loved it. Love the way break everything down! Love that you actually listened to it once fully through without pausing and talking. I hope you do more $B looking forward to more of your videos! 🥳
Well said fam, well said! 🧚♂️💚
Ditto!
please keep reacting to $B, their music is genuinely out of this world good and the talent these 2 have is unreal!
You should definitely react to more of them, they have an incredibly unique and varied catalogue of over 200 songs
Over 400 I believe
You have the best reactions. Beautiful!
I really appreciate that you gave the whole song a listen to at the start, and not stop and starting on the first listen. it gives you a chance to take it all in.
youre def gonna summon the fandom to these videos, i know ill aways love watching people discover or breakdown their music specifically, their story is absolutely amazing as well!
We need waaaayyy more of these, You Really need to check out " That just isn't Empirically possible" by them
First time seeing this channel. I love the way you interpret the music and gather the emotions. I Love it.
this is the first vocal coach reaction video that has got me to both like and subscribe before even saying a word (other than the intro)
something about just silently vibing to the first play through of a song I've listen to probably a couple thousand times. without pausing. looks like I'll be binge watching this channel
Been listening to them since I was 16 I'm 23 now got to see them for my birthday this year, this still to this day is my favourite song by them
As a fan of these rappers for almost 10 years, this video is awesome. i loved every second of your breakdown. something everyone seems to have failed to mention is that scrim(fry guy) produces almost all the beats they feature in their songs. Truly a talented duo
I love that you actually listened to the entire song before critiquing. SUCH an underrated decision that I wish more reaction channels would do.
Also if you like the Ruby(the first guy's) vocals. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to DUCKBOY. It's his one of his solo projects and his voice pushes so much further in his songs under that name.
Two Of my Favs Vocals Wise:
DUCKBOY- Heroin As a Recreational Activity
DUCKBOY- EXCALIBUR
Great video by the by.
Ok I looooove how you did the first listen THEN went and reacted to it.
This was an amazing video I don't understand a lot about vocals but its nice to see someone appreciate the artists I appreciate in an almost scientific way. I think you would really love "I no longer fear the razor guarding my heel" for a lot more vocal range they switch singing styles frequently during that song and it is a much larger sample of their singing abilities.
Wow I'm glad you chose this sb song to react to.
This is one of my favorites.
Thank you for putting it in words for us all! I've been stumped for years, not understanding why they sounded so good! ❤
This is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen in my life
$B fans ( myself included ) are gonna be FEINDING for more reactions now after this
Heck yeah , more SB please ❤❤❤
A1 reaction ! Very good every moment! Would love to see more reactions on the boys ! But also can’t wait to see what else you have reacted to ! Thank you 🙏
now that you have done 1 song you need to do more, otherwise you'll have a whole cult after you xD
The first verse was done by Ruby da cherry. He does have some good vocal range. Examples: and to those…, hard to tell, 1000 blunts, and shattered Amethyst. Just a couple of his singing.
she needs to give i want to believe a listen
I love how she started moving to the beat alittle bit, when she started to break it down!!!
You’ve opened Pandora’s box. There’s so many to react to. One of my favorite productions of theirs is a 3 part EP called: I No Longer Fear the Razor Guarding My Heel III (3). It’s 3 songs, but only 7 minutes total. Lots of different sounds in those 7 mins I’d love to see you dissect!! Particularly the 3rd song of the trio is my favorite. I absolutely love the brass sample that’s pulled from Hiroshi Suzuki (Romance is the song sampled).
now we gotta do the rest of their songs lmao
Wow excited hope you do all of their work!
Ahahaha she was speechless 😅 love to see it
Please do many many more of these love the breakdown
Hi Bethany, I've just stumbled across your channel in that past week and I have to say that it is so entertaining to watch your face contort into all sorts of emotions in an attempt to dissect what the vocalists are up to. It's very funny and a few tracks have been very emotional. Please could I recommend a new band that is close to my heart as I think you will thoroughly enjoy the vocalists range from the band "Galdorcraeft" and the track "Onblòtan". The vocalist is singing in Old English and modern English, thank you for considering them, if you do ☺️👍
This is great to watch $B is veryyyy unique with a great community!! So lovely to watch ur reaction and breakdown!!! Youll be the next Fantano 🧚♂️💚👌🏽🐐
I think one of the nice things about $uicideboy$ is that each of their songs aren’t exactly the same, partly because they’ve been about for about 13 years but also because they use a lot of different samples and create songs that match that
They have such a wide range of music and vocal styles and I’d recommend heavily to hear from the beginning of their music to the end you’ll see how they develop and changed through the years
So glad you checked out SB! Love the content, keep it up!
Let’s goo I love $B🖤
6:00 and this is confirming why I've listened to them for so long. It's different.
Man I haven't listened to this in so long, what a banger mate
I think you’d really like reacting to Scrim (LonelyBoy) and Rubys (Duckboy) solo work. Their voices are used differently for both, and the styles are different but still amazing.
I've recently discovered you a few days ago and I can't express how much I LOVE your rock/metal reaction videos.
I don't know if you had this suggested already but I'd really like seeing your reaction to Type O Negative! There are so many good songs of them that I can't particularly choose but to say one now I'd really love seeing "Love You To Death" !
My daughters love the $uicideboy$. I would have never given them a listen before hearing your reaction. You’ve turned what I heard as “noise” into art. Can I suggest to you, Fontaines DC’s Romance?
You should start checking them out. They’ve been sober for a while too
amazing video, actually hadnt heard this track before so it was like a 2 in 1
Fan of these guys for 9 years, loved your loss for words at times
I had an amazing moment recently... my partner who claims to not like $B was watching the show Cross on Prime with me and a song was playing and she said "now this is the type of music I like, I love how he is saying his words!" I said that's Ruby's, he is 1/2 of $B.
Their music had changed my life like no other.
Ill love them forever.
Favorite artists ever.
Love the reaction.
G❤❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡.
Genuinely surprised to see this pop up in the list of reaction vids. I don't know that $boy$ really need vocal analysis as they don't do much by way of actual singing. Love their music regardless.
These are some $uicideboy$ songs you should react too
•Either Hated or Ignored
•…And to Those I Love, Thank You for Sticking Around
•Antartica
I LOVE THE BOY$! I know it's not for everyone, but it would be AMAZING if we could get just a few more. Suggesting Antarctica, Not Even Ghosts Are This Empty, And to Those I Love, Thanks for Sticking Around, and Are You Going to See the Rose in the Vase, or the Dust on the Table. Another suggestion is listening to some of their solo projects, either DUCKBOY or Scrim. Very different music.
I would love to see more videos on the boys, especially their older more melodic music
This Video made me follow your channel, keep up the amazing work
This is great. Do more of the boy$
I love the video, diciphering their voices and vocal productions
5:25 , literally me anytime I hear any of their songs and Ruby hits a sick melody.
More of these please.
Damn the boys are getting the love they deserve
I recommend you look more into them please, they’re music changes throughout the time you’d like a lot more i promise 🫶🏼
Definitely subscribing after this video, love how u describe their music
what i'd give to listen to the boys for the first time again.
Dude I grew up on highway 59 in Texas. That's why I love these guys.
the best reaction video ive ever seen
Very excited to see another react video of them!
Please do more of their songs! 🙏🏻
I love seeing people react to their music for the first time. I would love to see more :O
AND TO THOSE I LOVE THANKS FOR STICKING AROUND PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Overrated
Please more SB!
I love her reaction and analysis
Rapping in cursive. Honestly a very accurate and cool way to describe their sound.
This song has always been so beautiful to me
OMG nice, hope you do more of them.
you should definitely react to DUCKBOY. hes the first guy that rapped but he also makes punk rock.
Need more reactions of $B please!!! Just subbed.
I love this so much thankyou
Love when people have an open mind to their music. Definitely check out Meet Mr Nice Guy. Incredible vocals in the first half, some of his best. Countless others as well
Great video! If you want more hip-hop artists to cover I would strongly suggest Mac Miller. He's not just a hip hop/rap artist, he was an amazingly talented musician that could do it all. He also released a well regarded jazz album. Some songs to cover where his singing is prominent:
-5 Dollar Pony Rides
-Stoned
-Complicated
-I Can See
-Surf
-Love Lost
-Colors and Shapes
-Floating
-Wings
-Perfecto
-Soulmate
-My Favorite Part
-The Question
Ruby is a top vocalist in rap, very unique sound
im glad i heard an actual vocalist say it
and that other people recognise him and his uniqueness
my friend and i used to rewind ruby verses, replay the song but even on a higher volume, i love me some dolla sign ooa sad boy dolla sign
you started with the best suicideboys song a new fan can hear lmao,i love that you let it play fully at first. you need to check "a little trauma can be illuminating..." or maybe screamy songs like Nightmare Choir, theyre very versatile and the singing will surprise you lol
This group and their music is one of the reasons why I'm still around today.. They have dark themes, but we all have darkness inside of us. I say, gaze into the abyss because it might make you realize that life is actually worth living.. Never give up. I recommend "Antarctica" if you decide to analyze more of their music.
You need to do more asap!! Meet Mr. Nice guy ...is an awesome vocal song.
Great song to start on tbh, so under rated
The boys got yet another fan!!! ❤😮😂😂 Dope AF.
