This was very helpful. I'm in the market to find a used lightweight flats skiff, and want to adapt it to having fore and aft seats like what you'd find on a bass boat. Nearly all of them, however, have hatches where I'd want to put the rear seat. This has been inspirational in that rather than continue a fruitless search for the perfect boat, I can adapt one instead.
I love the detail you put into the build videos. All the tips and tricks. I like the bolt into the carboard sticking up just a little so you can paint the entire head. Simple but I hadn't ever thought about that. Great video. Thanks.... I'm looking forward to the next one when you have this boat out on the water!!!
I used them on my boat a few years ago and no issues at all. I use it for both a leaning seat and regular seat. The only concern is if you are intalling this on a wood hatch lid you don't want to lean with all your body weight cause you could crack the wood hatch lid depending on the thickness of the wood.
Great work! That's exactly what I was looking for!

Another quality job. I am still perping for my seat install, you know you got to think it through! Thanks
Yepp. Take your time and think it through. It'll be great!!!

could you have put the piece of liner that you cut out back on the mount instead of spray painting it?
Any update on how well the little 1/4” screws are holding up? Are you using a leaning seat??

@@BassBrothersFishingDMV ok thanks. I actually have it installed on 3/4 plywood and a 2x8 underneath.
Did you purchase or fabricate the hatch lid?
The hatch lids are from TBNation. Really good lids. If you buy from them you can get 5% off using our discount code BBF5 which helps out our channel.
