    Looks really good! The only additional pro tip I have is to glue the wood edge with epoxy or waterproof wood glue and use a deck sealer. Marine grade plywood isn't actually treated so it will still absorb water.. The ply is glued with waterproof glue...

      Angling Anarchy I’m not sure if you are a walleye fisherman, or if you are familiar with the area Ocanto, I’m from Appleton Wisconsin and I am 98% sure you guys are based out of Wisconsin. But I went walleye fishing today and we caught about 30 walleye, biggest was a 29”. Along with a surprise catch with a 38” pike. We aren’t keeping the walleyes because I don’t like keeping them during the run. But it’s a nice fun day on the water catching a bunch of fish!

      Bryan Gosnell Glad you enjoyed the video! We got the hinge from S and S Hinge Company. We ordered off of their website and I will include the specs for it at the end of this message. Be aware that shipping is a little steep. Here are the hinge specs:
      Aluminum Hinge 6 ft, 4" open width, 0.060" thickness, 1/2" knuckle, 0.120" pin diameter ($18)
      You may be able to choose two shorter lengths to span the 84" space that you have. If you have any other questions you can always send me a message on Facebook on the Angling Anarchy page. Hope this helps!

    Good stuff. Do you do anything for water drainage inside the box?

    • @AnglingAnarchy
      @AnglingAnarchy 4 роки тому +1

      Andrew Ramberg There are 2 existing drains that ended up inside the storage. Water from the cockpit can still get to it because the large piece across the front was installed about 1/4" above the floor so that the water wouldn't be trapped in the cockpit area.

      Andrew Ramberg Lol. I think I probably forgot to mention that we did that in the video. I did almost the same thing in my boat and there were 2 drains that ended up in the storage but no good way for the water to get to it. So I just added 2 more drain holes to the rear of the cockpit.

    You bolted the hinge to the deck top. Do you see the bolt on the top of the deck?

    • @AnglingAnarchy
      @AnglingAnarchy 3 роки тому +1

      Jim Spisak I used the exact same bolts that the manufacturer uses to bolt the rest of the original decking to the boat, so no more than anywhere else in the boat. After awhile, they basically "sink" into the carpeting and you can't really see them.
