It’s hard being a feminist in SK, especially if you’re a female idol, because they think you’re an extremist (a “femin@zi”). I remember when Irene (a member of Red Velvet) was caught with a feminist book and it angered the male fans! They burned all her photo cards and took pics of it.

This was one of the most disturbing stories. 1. Men demeaning, assaulting, and raping women. 2. Police aiding and abetting their activities 3. Fans attacking the journalists for exposing them for what they are. 4. Little change in the nightlife scene after it came to light. 5. The lenient sentences they received. 6. Women left to deal with the fallout with little or no support.

Why do I feel like there’s more to Hara’s death than we know. Sure, she was depressed but not all depressed people want to oof themselves. We only recently knew that she actually EXPOSED a high ranking official prior to her death. Believe it or not, there are real life cases of murders staged as suicide. 😢

My friend from America she's Asian and very beautiful, she went on a trip to South Korea for a week and was waiting at a train station in Seoul and had a Korean girl come up to her to be friends and they later met up for drinks so the friend brought her to a club she thought was normal in Seoul because her new "friend" worked there and would get cheap
Alcohol, they sat in the club and started drinking their was a bunch of men young and old watching them the entire time and after she drank one beer she started to feel tired and dizzy and went to the washroom to puke she was drugged by her and when she tried to leave the washroom her friend tried to bring her to a room so she could rest but she said no and wanted to leave but they kept saying she was too drunk and it was was dangerous for her to leave but she was about to pass out so she said she was going to call the police but they told her they wouldn't help her because they like their club she shoved pass them because they were blocking the exit but she didn't let her pass still trying to get her into the room so she pulled out a knife and said she would use it if they didn't let her leave so they did and she noticed an old man she saw at the train station at the club and knew the fake friend set her up for the old man to abuse and she left the next day after barricading her hotel room with the furniture and slept in the hotel washroom room after she passed out from the drink in the hotel the night before she left because she was really scared they would find her and she didn't trust anyone at that point and left when she woke up, she said she's never going back to South Korea I will never go to South Korea after my friend told me what happened to her she didn't bother with calling police in Korea because of what the club staff told her.

Ah... now I understand the "low birth rate" problem. Too many d-bag, and the women are like, no thanks. Plus, those sentences were bogus. 3-6 yrs for defiling someone in such a way to where they would suffer a lifetime of mental and emotional problems from the crimes committed. Their "judicial" system is bogus and giving a slap on the wrist with such low sentences only encourages those behaviors. Imagine a 16 yr old doing that and if they get 6 yrs, they get released at 22 to only do it again. And to be honest, it seemed like they swept the whole scandal under the rug. No mention of YG in the illicit encouragement of such activities too... there might not be evidence of his specific involvement but I'm pretty sure he has a notion of what was going on.
Like the Cho Dong Soon case where a 8 year old Korean girl was sa'd and kidnapped by a 57 year old man, she was left disemboweled and with life long injuries and facial disfigurement. The 57 year old man only got 12 years in prison, his sentence was later reduced because he was "too old" and after he was released he moved back into the neighborhood the little girl was. The prosecutor also made the little girl retell the story three times, the hospital said she couldn't sit for more than 15 minutes because it was dangerous because of her injuries, but the prosecutor would "forget" to turn on the recorder and would make her retell her traumatic story three times each time lasting an hour, and scolding her to sit up straight

I already heard of this news a while back but as someone who, back when I was 14 (so 10 years ago), listened to a lot of k-pop, Bigbang was literally the group I listened to the most. Ofc I grew out of it 2 years after, but hearing these kinds of things come to light regarding artists I used to listen to makes me feel sick.
