In this video, we will talk about Oushak rugs that are made in the workshops in Pakistan.
These rugs go by several names - Oushak, Chobi, Ziegler, Peshawar, and Farahan. Their differences are seen in their designs and knot density.
Oushak rugs originated from Turkey and these rugs were quite expensive. Back in the 70s, when an embargo was placed on Iran, some workshops went to Pakistan along with their rug design and production skills.
They set up workshops, hired designers, employed local labor, and using the original Oushak and Persian rug designs, they started producing new rugs with traditional designs that are now known as the Pakistan Oushak.
A lot of variations came out over the years as workshop owners hired designers that recommended different color schemes and other rug characteristics.

The new Oushaks are made in Afghanistan. Pakistani has no such skills of making such rugs. This shows how hypocritical you are avoiding taking or using Afghanistan name..
I suggest you to pen a grocery store.
