bro steve jobs started in a garage with a peice of shity box and even bill gates
Can’t find the ikea desk
How about the crappy keyboard I stole from the school library?
What ever you are most comfortable using 😂
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Extra +5 wisdom points
Lmao 😂
First essential : Money
Fu*k 😢
The most essentials is skill and knowledge
Okay boomer but the video was about the desktop essentials so stop being so corny
@@Milesmorales6969 If you are a software engineer, You'd know damn well we can not afford any of that
@@darkblaze40 ik but im talking wrt the video
You literally just described my dream setup as an aspiring dev 😂 (minus the fake plant)
The profile pic 😭😭
You dont need a macbook, or anything, just a basic keyboard, mouse, monitor,pc and install the program you need like html.
yes html is a great program
How do I install this html thingy?
One day I will buy all these, when I am done with my responsibilities toward my family.
Insh Allah!
@@aslamseanma sha Allah bro you are muslim glad to see alhumdulillah
@@aslamseanBro is Muslim Mashaallah
@mujahidshaikh5034 Spending money on things you do not need will also be questioned on the day of judgement 👀
No 1 should be the money for these stuffs😂
As a remote software engineer working for an us based company in India, you earn a crap ton of money, so much that is you're a skilled developer, you can buy all this stuff in your first month salary, or just your joining bonus
Any info/strategies on how you got that job?@@NotKaito
Instead of fake plants you can put real plants - it will be more useful psychologically, aesthetically and add fresh air 🤗
Yeah you can put them by the window to get sunlight and bring them to the disk when you start working
I got couple succulents and they look great.
Seriously, people take these things WAY too seriously, I'm learning to code on a Phone using SamsungDeX, if i can code on a Phone with DeX then you can code on a crappy laptop or PC as well, if anything it'll make you more resource efficient because the lack of resources at your disposal. Don't make excuses, start learning now or you won't make it tomorrow.
Very true - but I do wonder, are you using a linux emulator like termux or a cloud environment or something, cause while a macbook could be overkill, DeX does seem ... limiting
Nah, but coding on a phone is crazy tho. At least get a crappy laptop it's not even that expensive.
I was watching seriously until "people near you need to hear you code" 😅
Sir that's not a 60% keyboard
It's like somewhere inbetween 65% and 70%
You sir are quite accurate it’s a 68%
@@aslamsean ahhh I see
It's a really nice looking keyboard mind telling me the brand?
@@thatdudeghosty6817it's in the pinned comment
It’s also not wireless.
Being a data science student...it looks like a dream... surely make a setup like this one day
POV you and your work colleagues all have LOUD mechanical keyboards AND noise canceling headphones.
I liked how at the end you basically go yeah these are useless
Me personally, I go for a 75% because I like all my f rows and stuff like that
Yeah 75% is the sweet spot
yeap@@aslamsean
Very efficient setup
The only thing that makes me love ultra wide monitor for programing is that I have endlessly resizing just to see my simulator or the website I'm building
I agree with the headset! You do need it in some offices.
Number 9 you don't need all of these 😅
Could never go without a full size keyboard and IMO having multiple monitors is more useful than one big one.
iPad is accurate af tho
Love that mouse! Worth the money
I have only 1 laptop. 😂😂😂
Lost me at MacBook pro 😂
Appreciate your humour, great little video😂
Just your brain, a laptop and you're set
Not using the desk in its standing position is so fucking true
Head phones to listen music and movies, keyboard to play games and others to look cool 😂
I don't even understand why ppl use MacBook pro for programming just use windows fr💀 and it's so expensive you could get a better laptop with better specs be smart
I think Mac OS and 10 hour battery life and similarity to Linux is why I use my MacBook.
macbooks have a better user experience, and programming aint about jus developing websites and softwares, IOS development exists as well, and honestly macbook is super light and very convenient to carry around, macbook is also faster and smoother and much better experience when coding. But aint saying windows is crap, its good as well ofc.
Number 1. Skill if you have not any Skill you can't do nothing not matter what you have
They will make your programming easier. Specially the wide screen. It's way better than any other option, specially if you're always working with 3 or 4 files at the same time.
60% keyboard seems not the way to go, since as a programmer you'll typing a lot of numbers. If I'm wrong let me notice ^^
Imagine coding on a laptop keyboard That how 60% keyboard is.
Imo, coding is actually fairly light on numbers, its generally functions, variables, and data structures. The only time youre really working with numbers is during testing and on the off chance that you need hard coded numbers (generally, only used for constants and initializing a variable)
Just get good enough to type fast with the top numbers
60 have no arrows, home, end, page up, and page down. Thats not for me as programmer
65 have no page up and down / home and end buttons. Still hard to use them when i need to review the code. the other problem that the arrows too closed from the right shift and the most wierd u need to extra finger to push F1 - F12 coz they are of important keys for debugging lol
TKL or 100% much better for my preference.
As a developer I dont use numpad very often so I think a 65% would be good for me, also I currently have a 100% and it uses so much of my desk space
"Wireless keyboard" *proceeds to show a wired keyboard*
…. I have all of those… but I’m terrible at programming 😢
A wireless keyboard that's always plugged in is what I see at my office.
I inherited those even after i moved on to other roles 😂😂😂
All i have is a Laptop with 8 GB RAM, 256 SSD &4GB Graphic card. I keep it on my lap while working. I think that should be enough.
All very accurate 😂😂
Can't use a 60% keyboard. Need that numpad for Blender
I almost have all of this, last thing I need is Herman Miller chair
I have gt racing chair.. kind of embarrassed to share it lol
Love the key caps, i have the same ones lol
Go for a full keyboard..
You will find the more keys provide more shortcuts.
Also buy one of those big enter keys, to slam on
#3: a mac, then you see the PC in the background lol
You forgot all the essentials like sticky notes, empty cans of redbull, terrible cable management and food containers
1. Keyboard thats atleast 100% as numpad and function keys are handy especially as macros, how ever if small keyboards are you thing theb go for it. Also i use a trakball mouse. It staysbin once spot and after a few days with it will feel natural and wont take up space to move around!!
2. A good stable os of your choice(depends on what your coding for)
3. Internet, as the saying goes back in the day google is your friend or what ever search engine you have/use
4. Backup harddrives, incase your pc does bsod and dont recover you have your backups!!!
5. No interuptions/no yotube unless your using playlists but beware any time your on yotube you can get destracted easily
6. Start fresh, dont rush and keep an open mind.
7. Dont listen to haters, if you wanna use windows or mac to program for eaither its your choice not theirs...
8. Be positive and start small. What ever your working on break down into sections so you dont get lost in the overall look.
9. Be your self!!!
10. (This should of been number 1) But always ALWAYS comment what your functions do as well as anything that you can possible.
You may never know how long you may take a break just to try to get back to it and asking your self "what was this for or what did it do again???"
Bro knows better how to flex 💪
Bro I feel personally attacked. I have all those, except for the iPad and Mac BecAUs3 wERe a WIndOWs CompAnY
And I have areal plant, not a fake one
Did he just flex on us?!
you miss out the rubber duck 😁😁😁
"... a 60% keyboard..."
Proceeds to show a 65% keyboard.
The most important and actually useful one.
An ergonomic chair. Since you be stuck on the chair. You need a good chair
C# Programmers - why isn’t my code running on this bloody MacBook 😢
Number 10 we need is money😅
I am a sleepless and starving uni student surviving on ramen and toast. I code on a couch slouched like a shrimp and with my eyes dug into the screen. Do not sell me your versatile solutions of modern living.
"Ultra Wide Monitor so that you look productive" 💀
9th point is awesome bro...😂😂
Number 9 should be: A rubber duck because yes
75% at minimum, I ain't sacrificing my function keys
Final point🗿🔥(you don't need any of these to become a good developer)
Great!
No.1 you have a good salary to afford these things
1. 60% keyboards don't have number, function and navigation keys all of which are not required but will save you time and time is money.
3. Everyone knows Linux is the best for web developers and there are some many distros, that the chance that the best OS for a specific person isn't Linux is extremely slim.
😂 Mom I need this to create PPT for my project at college.
No, TKL, I need to shift insert.... A lot... And I like proper arrow keys.
The essentials are a big enough screen a decent chair and any peripherals you are comfortable with.
I love the point
Thats dream 😊
Not a 60% board, since it has arrow keys, etc., more like 70%ish.
I have a good think pad, and I use my phone as a secondary monitor
The people around me wear noise canceling headphones so nobody can hear me code.
Whats the difference between windows and mac os for programming? Arent thinkpads also good for programming?
You can code as efficiently on windows or max. And let’s not forget Linux. But Mac is generally more stable and has longer battery life plus new apple silicon is pretty good. Honestly it’s user preference. At work I code in windows personal use I use mac mainly because of performance and long battery life.
Your setup looks like it's based on "kuch bhi" theme
an extra monitor for every frontend and backend developer is good
Also please get a wide monitor that can switch into a vertical one or even better just get one vertical one horizontal
Number 9 is the best option 😂
I use my page up/down and home/end keys all the time while programming...
Some fake plants so you feel good about yourself! 😂😂😂😂😂
Number 9 you don't need any of this 😂
He told in 200 ways that I am poor
Wide Monitor ❌ Double Monitor ✅
Number one, first you have to know about coding
Forgot the rubber ducky, smh.
I agree with the mechanical keyboard. Considering you'll be typing a lot of code, that's a good purchase. Everything else is a waste of money.
So true😂
Fake plant do make me feel good 😅
So that you look like you're productive😂
Hi Shahzad
Pleased answer can we build a personal brand on Instagram instead of Twitter and LinkedIn.
All you need to be Ambani for being an programer 😅
Damn no more notebooks and pencils anymore huh
You don't need all this shit, but I strongly recommend a second screen to work with when on desktop. Simply for the extra screen space, which is very nice to put your app, your code (sometimes two or three side by side) and google. It cost something like 30$ to get a second-hand monitor and an HDMI cable, and it save you a lot of time of switching tab and applications to get to what you need
What you want vs what you need
looking for loud keyboard switches?
BLUES
Sorry silly question, what kind of usb extender is that for the keyboard..??
"You need a 60% keyboard" - Shows a 65%
😳
😂
😳
Number 9 😂😂
Oh, forgot the computer...
What background wall material is on your wall behind monitor? link?
Just wondering, why use two mouse instead of using that mx master?
You need all of that to be a good programmer. To have all of that you have to be a good programmer
Gotta get my engineering job first. Still in school lol
