The case is definitely suffering in the airflow department and the stock air coolers are junk. Even the stock water coolers are very limited in size and ability due to case restrictions. You can improve temps by replacing the stock air cooler and add a couple fans. The best air cooler that fits is probably the Noctua U9S. The top bracket can hold a 120mm fan as exhaust and you can also place a 120mm intake fan on the bottom of the case. I just bought the Omen 30L Ryzen 5600g rtx 3060 1TB SSD 16GB Memory (Air Cooled) should I be worried about this configuration overheating or any other problems with this Particular Omen30L setup?
I would be a bit worried. For starters you can add a 120mm top exhaust fan with the included bracket. At least you can exhaust the heat more quickly. Then if you're not happy with temps look at replacing the CPU cooler.
Its pretty easy to buy any 30 series card now. Mate and I got a 3070to and 3080 last week and more on sale this week. FE editions and decent priced too.
The plate is really a frame for fans and an AIO. You punch out the square inserts and you have a frame on which you can mount a fan or AIO radiator. Airflow in general on these is poor. No front fans, no top fan, no bottom fan, only an exhaust fan and a small very basic CPU cooler. The OEM graphics cards tend to run hot as well. If I bought a prebuilt, it would not be an Omen. Been there, done that, not satisfied.

Something like a Noctua U9S air cooler helps a lot especially when you add another case fan or two. Height restrictions limit what you can use. There's not much room for a radiator either other than a 120 I believe.
Recently got 2 at work with the 10900k (though with the 3090 card) - they have configured it with a single 120mm rad cooler for the CPU. Out of the box, it's the loudest machine under single/ multi core load that I've ever heard in my life, to the point of being scary/ unusable, as well as hitting 100c on the CPU. For reasons known only to themselves, HP have configured the 'P2' powerstate to (only for a minute or so) run up to 250w power consumption - Intel spec 170w for this. This results in a noise something like standing in the flightpath of a fighter jet as it takes off. Fortunately, you can fix this using Intel extreme tuning utility. Turn P2 state off completely, limit p1 state to 140w & set the window to 1 sec to prevent it exceeding this. This will limit your all core clock to about 4.3/4.4 ghz & single core clock to about 4.9 ghz. You'll lose some CPU performance (not as much as you might think, as it's thermal throttling out the box) but it will become a tolerably quiet, useable machine. You don't need to set the extreme tuning utility up each time, it remembers & always uses the settings you set. That also drops the peak temps down to about 85deg after sustained all-core use ie Cinebench R23, which is OK for this chip. The 3090 isn't a problem, seems well put together with noise very acceptable & temps in the 'OK' range. Not sure how similar/ different the 3080 will be in this regard. The other wrinkle worth mentioning is there are no memory controls at all in the bios - they've got their RAM up to speed by customising the JDEC default - this means that any RAM you add will be stuck at the default JDEC speeds, 2133mhz or whatever it is. You can configure your RAM via the Intel Extreme Tuning program to enable XMP etc. I'm told (but haven't tested myself) in youtube videos that unlike the CPU settings, this can't be auto-applied, you'd have to do it at each boot. This basically means you need to buy all the RAM you'll ever want with the system, or be faced with either the RAM running slow, over-paying HP for an upgrade kit (for as long as they supply them) or re-applying the correct timings at each boot. PSu is a Coolermaster 750w 80+ Paltinum, so no problem there, especially once the CPU is sorted to stop it's mental boosting behaviour. Storage system is good, with a big, quick c: drive & decent d: drive, no complaints there. At the end of that, you're left with a really nice looking machine, which is compact, with little crap-ware pre-installed. Truthfully, it has minimal upgradablility outside of storage but it's a decent machine, if like me, you don't mind leaving a bit of CPU performance on the table in exchange for a reasonable noise level. What sucks is it's the non-technical user who should be the main target of this machine who is going to get the worst experience because of HP's crazy decisions in CPU choice, CPU cooler choice & CPU configuration. Our use is for content creation, Cinema 4D, Octane Render, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Unreal Engine etc more than gaming, but I think the use-case is similar in terms of lots of 3D heavy, high memory applications. TLDR: The system is OK but you WILL need to underclock the CPU boost performance to bring the noise to a reasonable level.
@@graeme6539 first of all I would like to thank you for literally writing a freaking book describing the pc lmao. And second would u say that the cpu temperature is ok or comfortable after doing what you said, as personally I will mainly use this mechine for gaming and school stuff idk. But the cpu still reaching 80°c after all that is kinda concerning. So will cpu undervolting help and is it possible to upgrade the aio without too much difficulty?
@@Ghost-hs6qq No problem. These 10-core Intels in particular & even some of the Ryzen 5xxx series also, do run hot, even with decent cooling. Mid 80s are OK & well within spec , so I'm OK with it being at that temp under load for extended periods. It's very hard to change the AIO - there's a lot of dis-assembly to do, they've glued their backplate to the back of the mobo & the case can't fit anythig bigger. Some people have opted to move it to a new case to install a bigger AIO but it's quite a hassle, there are a lot of things that make it hard. Some guy has done a video on youtube showing the whole process. So for me, I think it's quiet it down as-is, then live with it. Or choose a PC with a more standard construction instead. I haven't tried under-volting but if you get a good chip maybe that would help. I just didn't want to get into too much fiddling about.

If your gonna spend the money already, go with the 30l. I have one with a Ryzen 7 5800x that is water-cooled and a 3060ti that I intend to replace. Definitely worth the extra bit of money for the better processor and water cooling.

This is actually pretty nice value compared to other prebuilts. Not better because you know hp logo and all but not bad compared to stuff like alienware etc

now its time for GN to do their video on the same pc.

Can you always test with valorant? It will help people buy prebuilts that are cheaper as long as it runs it well.

Can you do a video on building a budget pc.
As all your PCs you build are very expensive 👍
The plate is really a frame for fans and an AIO. You punch out the square inserts and you have a frame on which you can mount a fan or AIO radiator. Airflow in general on these is poor. No front fans, no top fan, no bottom fan, only an exhaust fan and a small very basic CPU cooler. The OEM graphics cards tend to run hot as well. If I bought a prebuilt, it would not be an Omen. Been there, done that, not satisfied.

@@HU-zq9bc it doesn’t help I did all that needs more cooling fans and a aio

Something like a Noctua U9S air cooler helps a lot especially when you add another case fan or two. Height restrictions limit what you can use. There's not much room for a radiator either other than a 120 I believe.
Would you recommend the 30L HP omen pc with etc 3080 and i9 10900k?
