UPDATE: So I actually believe it or not managed to snag a GTX 1660 Super for about £272 on Amazon (about $380) which is still a bit overpriced but better than the alternatives on most other websites. So yay me 😎
Since you mentioned smaller cases and displayed an H1, which is an mini-ITX SFFPC, I will say that for this size of case you need to select the case first not last so that you can ensure that your parts all fit.

I’m working on a computer science degree at the moment, and I still have a long way to go, so being able to build a PC and understand everything behind it definitely helps!
I appreciate the info about making sure you pick a graphics card and monitor that support the games you play. Because a LOT of people here want to buy the rtx 30s but don’t have money for the 1440p 144hz monitor. I would have said to think about the look of the pc as soon as you choose the size of mother board. Although you can fit a mini itx in any case, you can’t fit an atx in a cute little case.
Best way to go about it! Set myself a budget back in October, completed the build in January when the GPU finally arrived. Was under budget by about £10!
My tip: Just because you have enough money to buy something, doesn't mean it makes sense to buy it. It's easy to get excited when shopping for parts and just splurge but take your time and do your research.

I'm already finished my PC, just waiting for my Odyssey g9. CPU ryzen 5900x, GPU Asus RTX 3080 tuf gaming oc, ram 32gb gskill, SSD Samsung Evo 970 plus. Any game, can run with 144+FPS in 1080p, but also many games support's 4k with 60+FPS. If count the price it something about 6000$. But i bought GPU by half the price at the start of sales, if comparing with current.

I'm really happy with the performance it is a massive upgrade from my 6 year old intel core i7 4790k!
My recommendation is to go on UA-cam and find restock livestreams, they show all of the digital stores with all of the stock they have and models of graphics cards. However, if you have a micro center near you, I totally recommend it. They have stock, and you can also pick up your other pc parts as well.
