The ramones meant everything to those of us like me an awkward boy growing up ay boarding school alone... who just didn't enjoy mainstream music or just didn't fit in with school cliques... Or family cliques.... When I heard them... It was like finding a rock at night swimming in the middle of the baring sea..... even today, I'm 65,running every week I listen to my ramones playlist... Gives me energy when I'm low!! And yes... The odd tear still flows... God bless guys
What a damn good comment. I concur. 🙏🙏🙏
its 2024 and i just started listening to them, theyre my fav band, and its been along time since ive had one.
The older I get, we get, we all realise looking back... There was nothing in music in 1970s that remotely sounded like them...they were incredibly unique for that era!! OK new York dolls were one of first who launched punk... But the Ramones were the beatles of that genre!! Miss those guys hugely!!
❤
Concordo com tudo que você falou!! Ramones é tudo!! Saudações do Brasil!!
I don't know how the people see the ramones in usa, but here at brazil and throughout latin america they're the masters, the gods of punk rock and one of the best bands of all time
tHE PEOPLE WHO GREW UP LISTENING TO THE RAMONES FOR THE MOST PART HAVE FORGOTTEN THE RAMONES. music seems to last a bit longer in Germany japan spain. America runs thru music like a baby craps in diapers.
susan heath You are so stupid! I grew up and promote the Ramones speak for yourself twit!
eat shit ,twit.
+susan heath You know nothing.
cavera black the ones that started punk
Ramones, its not your last concert for us, your still in our minds and in our ears,FOR EVER!!!
Sitting at home, having a few drinks and enjoying the legendary Ramones. Nothing more to say….
Que marcha .Madre mia
Ditto....1 2 3 FOUR
"Anyway you want it, that's the way it will be" What a song to end a career.
A atopee
That song is a cover?
dread true thanks, i find it the band. Dave Clark 5, the song in nice too, but Ramones version is much better . Also kiss have a cover too, but I don’t like it.
What a great last message
O how Nice
🎵
What can I say? I WAS THERE! This footage looks really good, but honestly, during the show I thought to myself that the show at the Palladium ( a couple of months before this) blew this one away. Anyways, Ramones forever! I have bumped into Dee Dee once in Hollywood around 7.30 am, I slowed down my car and yelled out the window; hey Dee Dee listen to this! As I turned up my Ramones cd which was playing in my car, that put a smile on his face and gave me the thumbs up.
what year did that happen with dee dee?
it was 1998 , I believe.
+snakey jakey nice

I was in Buenos Aires 1992 in one of the most intense Ramones Concert ever!!! My god, how I miss them!
How lucky you're 👍👍

Nobody cares 👃
Man that picture of all their leather jackets hanging in the dressing room got me bro.how powerful is that picture.😭 Never be the same
they started out small and got big, they did it the right way
When The Good, The Bad and Ugly was playing at the end of this video and they were disassembling the drums, I cried.
Forever.
Still gives me Goosebumps. Gabba Gabba🤘
The best band of the world, all the songs are perfect. Here in Brazil they keep on playing forever.

ramones and rancid in one stage... all time hall of fame of punk rock
Probably one of the best live versions of 53rd and 3rd / Beat on the brat. Man, such a badass last performance, these guys were legendary
Lars Frederiksen's vocal cords are made of pure rage.
It’s all such a bummer what happened to one of the greatest US bands ever! They never got the respect they deserved in the US. Out of the country they were chased around like the Beatles but here they had to play small venues. I’m so glad I got to see them in 95 when I was just 14. They were incredible still live. Such a great live band. Beyond sad how they all died young just a few years after breaking up. Just sucks. Legends all of them.
7:37 . . . . these jackets (at least Tommy's, Johnny's, Dee Dee's and Joey's) should be in the friggin' Smithsonian!!!
Hal R. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
I have one of Johnny's personal jackets. Signed by all of them.
Marky played with the band way longer than Tommy ever did. Marky is the true Ramones drummer.
Fuck yes

Ramones the best band that already existed in the world
hail Brazil
+Garry Lineker why do the south american countries love rock music i mean i know it sounds great but it seems really popular down there, in Australia all my friends listen to shit

We need a Ramones tribute band! they are too good to be forgotten!
Michael Smith there are some. Mostly in California and New York
Funny you should say that, cause I'm in one! We're called the Morones!
I heard there was all girl version called The Ramonas
all female one called the ramonas pretty good
Necesitamos menos bandas tributo.

One of the greatest 70 /80 punk bands ! Pure originals ! Long live the ramones ! Up there with the sex pistols ! Sham 69 ! Angelic upstarts ! Pure dynamite ! The ramones will never be forgotten ! I have seen them live 8/9 live here in the uk !
joey sound to cry at the end :(
Terrible to think they are now part of the past
they're part of the past but they'll never in a million years be forgotten, i mean they did lay out a blueprint for punk music, power chords, eccentric fashion, against the establishment and don't forget 90 second songs LOL
What's 90 second song?
Joseph Murphy what's 90 second song
Francis Oscar the songs were very short, 90-120 seconds in length
No one is ever dead until you forget about them.
Ramones played with passion and spirit. I am only sorry they aren't here now to be honored for what they did.
What an incredible rock group! No one should forget...
The Ramones. as a young rocker in 2000's I would jam to their songs. I live their energy. Punks not Dead.
i met and saw the ramones twice in my life, great band to say the least
So glad Dee Dee was a part of this. The last time I got to see the Ramones live CJ had replaced him. Nothing against CJ but there was only one Dee Dee.
Each one of them Irreplaceable.
Long Live The Ramones!!!!
TOO TOUGH TO DIE !

Back in the 80s, my cousin Chuck Davis worked on Joey's '57 or 8 Plymouth Savoy when it was being restored. He was a drummer in a punk band that played at Cedar's in Youngstown, Ohio, where he met the Ramones when they opened for them. They bacame good friends from there. The Ramones were, in my opinion, the #1Punk band in the world. The music world suffered a great loss when they started passing. They were hugely influential on many bands from all genres.

Saw them at a festival in Seattle in 1995. Loved them since I was 13 years old, and finally got to see them at 25. It was am awesome show.

Ramones é vida!
any way you want it yeahhh thats the way it'll be!
and just like that....they were gone. end of an era. they not only saved and revitalized rock in the mid 70s but also kept it alive and blitzing at high energy for 22 years. top 5 most influential bands ever. after the end of nirvana and then shortly after the retirement of the ramones in 96 rock was never truly as great again. theres really nothing like the ramones at high volume. the raw power of punk in its purest form. headphones, in the car, through your amp doesnt matter. my favorite band since i was 12. never looked back. RAMONES FOREVER!
SAW them in 1977 at their peak They opened for Patti Smith Played about 40 min, until everyone was exhausted . Its a shame they have all passed away now. 😔
1 word: Awesome...RIP Ramones, will always love you...
ARGENTINA LOVE THE RAMONES FOR EVER!!
Saludos del Brasil! Hermanos
I was lucky enough to see them in 1991 in Knoxville TN.
Was a Wednesday night in June and I had summer school in the morning.
There were three of us, up in the very top of the Bijou Theater balcony there in Knoxville, each of us on two hits of white blotter.
Sweating, poging up and down, slamming beers.
I swear to god Joey didn't move for the entire show
They belted out song after song and blew my 17 year old mind way.
Watching the best punk band of the history, Ramones never died!!!

Amazing! First saw Ramones in 1977 when they played Strathclyde University student’s union, with Talking Heads as support. That gig almost never went ahead after the Lord Provost (kinda like the Mayor of Glasgow) said “Glasgow has enough yobbs of its own… We don’t need to import them”....meaning The Ramones! That was the attitude towards punk in those days!
Fortunately, the students back then had a bit more backbone than the permanently “offended” wimps that pass for students these days, and told the Provost to get stuffed, and the gig went ahead!
SOLO TENGO 30 AÑOS Y CONOCÍ LOS RAMONES HACE SOLO QUINCE AÑOS Y NO PODEMOS PERMITIR QUE TAL EXPRESIÓN MUSICAL Y PROFUNDA DEL ALMA Y CORAZÓN SE ESFUME, HAY QUE RECONOCERLOS COMO LO MEJOR QUE PUDO HACER FLORECER EL PUNK Y QUE DE ELLOS SALIERON MUY BUENAS INSPIRACIONES , FOR EVER RAMONES
The way I see it, as a long-time Ramones fan (I'm 50 now) there's just nothing NOT to like/LOVE about The Ramones ... from their pure, raw talent & classic songs that have endured time & all kinds of eras, to their absolute "cool-ness" ... I'll love them/their music till the end of time. My daughter's nickname is "E-DEE" - not quite DEE DEE but he used to be my fave all those years ago ... then Johnny & now Marky ... but they were all BRILLIANT. Thanks for sharing your story exeuroweenie :) :)
Johnny was such a beast on the guitar. Iconic!
