My first time shelling Lovers Key, Florida!

- On today's adventure we're back in sunny Florida! This was my first shelling stop after camping on Cayo Costa for 4 days(don't worry there's more to come from there, too!)
I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with all the goodies I found here considering I didn't arrive until 530 in the afternoon - I hope you'll join me on the adventure!

I had to pause for a moment before composing a reply to your comment, because well, you caught me off guard. I am very sorry for your loss. My father passed away when I was 15 years old. My parents introduced me to the ocean at a very young age, and I must say... it's one of the biggest reasons I do what I do on this channel, with passion. If you can find a place of peace here, then I am happy. Please take care and know that it will get better!

Nice finds! I'm glad you made it over to Lover's Key. It's truly a beautiful park. Did you make it onto the part of the beach with all the dead trees? It's gorgeous! And at low tide you can walk around the bottom of the island where you were and go a little further around the bend. It's so pretty down there! Once again nice beach visit with you!

I was in that exact spot exactly a month ago, and I didn’t find nearly as many nice shells! Lucky you!
I was honestly surprised that I found that many considering I got to the beach so late! Sometimes, it is all about luck!

I never find anything at lovers key.We have reservation for Sanibel in August.My daughter is looking into where to stay at Turks and Caicos. I believe u said northern part of island for best shelling.It is pretty at lovers key.A little far walk in.Reminds me of Bowmans Beach on sanibel.

You are walking on shells again and I can hear them cruching and breaking beneath your shoes! Walk to the side of the shell piles so others can find whole shells, please!
