Thank you Stefano! I've found a lot of your videos very helpful. I've liked and shared many of them to my friends who are learning Italian. Keep up the good work and thanks again!
Btw, most US cards are contactless now, so inserting isn't an issue anymore 😉

It's only helpful for absolute beginners who know only a few words.
Really it's better to have Italian audio with English subtitles. And slow the audio down to half speed or 0.75.

Regarding "io prendo", we have a similar phrase in english when ordering food. For example, "I will have the steak", etc. It is not perceived as impolite here in America either.

Ciao Stefano - grazie! Ho una domanda. In the example asking about spicy food, you used mi scusi but in the example asking for the check, you used scusi. Is that interchangeable, or what are the reasons you would use one or the other?

Dato che però sono specializzato nell’insegnamento dell’italiano ad anglofoni a volte mi piace fare video per principianti in inglese! Capisco che questo video non fa per te, quindi ti consiglio di vedere gli altri in italiano. Un abbraccio :)

He's talking normally, in a natural way, that you will encounter in Italy. If you want to understand s foreign language, you have to get used to this, and you can use the pause button if you need more time to read. No offense.
