Care Under Fire | Combat Medic Essentials

- The first phase of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is Care Under Fire (CUF). Care Under Fire is medical attention provided by the first responder or combatant to arrive at the scene of injury during an in-progress firefight.
Typically, in a CUF situation, available medical equipment is limited to that carried by the casualty in his or her individual first-aid kit (IFAK) or by the medical provider in his or her aid bag.
Generally, we don’t perform airway management in Care Under Fire. This isn’t field-hospital trauma care you’re delivering. However, we can still do a sloppy A (from the M.A.R.C.H. algorithm) as we roll our casualty onto his stomach.
Rolling him onto his stomach helps prevent the casualty’s tongue or blood from suffocating him.

If the first man goes down going in a building find another entrance. This was one of the lessons from Fallujah. In the early stages of the battle a lot of casualties were taken when first dude gets hit and drops, 2nd dude attempts to go over the body and has to break his line of sight to not step on his buddy and he gets hit. In later stages of someone got hit going through the door Marines would blow another entrance through a wall. By the end of the battle they would just avoid front doors in general.

In the army they teach us too apply self aid and medics teach us too only treat a wounded soldier or warrior when the threat is eliminated. There is exceptions like a fight lasting very long but if you take your focus off of those trying too kill you then you help them gain the advantage of less people fighting
Well we medics aren't allowed to get to you if you haven't eliminated the threat. But you know... fuck the rules
Remember, looting is faster than reloading
If I attempt to roll any down casualty over. The Doc would straight up murder me.
Russian soldiers be like:
Man you're hit. Time to ditch ya lmao
You’re not supposed to stop and give any kind of aid while taking fire because that now leave you open to getting hit. Police are also trained to ignore any casualties in an active shooter threat because the main goal is to stop the threat from causing more casualties
@@top_hat_walrus1860 It's not about whether to aid, they just straight up leave the guy.
@@Nedbryten yes to take out the threat then come back to him. If clearing a room and a guy goes down you keep going you don’t stop for shit

@@top_hat_walrus1860 CQC is very different. Dragging him at least a little to the side seems reasonable. Obviously they panic though.
Protocol dictates that when a fellow comrade has a sucking chest wound, you just kinda sorta kick him in the side until he’s on his stomach. Blyat
Try doing it like that with an unconscious buddy.

If it's a stomach shot, not sure how rolling over will help the guy unless you want his backpack so bad, you're ready to have him bleed out under his own body weight
I'm no expert but I'm assuming it's more important to make sure he's breathing first than to stop the bleeding. Feel free to correct me though I could definitely be wrong

I gave him a thumbs up because combat medics are the heroes on the battlefield - they are nothing less than spectacular. And also because I think he's Ukrainian and I want show support.
But if this is what the they really do, Biden needs to send them some training on how to take care of battlefield casualties.
Long live Ukraine!!!
Great channel :)
Guys cmon, if it's the "breacher" guy or machine gunner, you have no choice but to "loot" him, stop kidding around lads lmao
Broooo thatWONT WORKK!! the guy in the video helps you roll him over by using his muscles, you will not be able to roll a fully geared bulky dude with one leg and effortlessly as shown in the video cmon now
yeah i thought the same
Depends. If he’s just got a round in a non vital area, he can help you by rolling himself like in the video. Obviously if you have a big dude who just took a round to the esophagus, he’s not going to be so focused on rolling over nor will he be loose at all.
In a typical ouchie situation, the downed man can at least give way immediately before he worsens
I think it’s more for demonstration like clearly he didn’t grab the support weapon or “mission sensitive” equipment.
Mission first, as hard as it is to accept this, a medic isn't going to prioritize you if it will get the rest of the team killed. Basically in some situations, if you're slowing the squad down, they'll come back for you when its safe.
Idk man I work in a home Depot warehouse and I often have to move some pretty heavy shit by pushing it with my legs alot of the time cause it's either too low or too heavy for my flimsy arms.

Everyone is saying this is wrong but I've no idea what is correct. Can you explain what medics in combat do please? 😂
Massive hemorrhaging, Airway, Respiration, circulation, hypothermia this is the initial sequence for combat trauma. DO NOT roll that boi he could have a spinal injury or crepitess in the pelvis. Only roll him once you are doing a proper assessment for all your acronyms on his back and for sucking chest wound and you assesed pelvic stability. This shit wild.
This goes against everything I learned. Idk maybe roll the guy over to make sure he's not choking on his own blood.
It's probably to avoid choking on vomit/tongue suffocation
It should be into recovery position or your side slightly rolled over towards stomach. Mostly side
@N my Glory I'll tell your mom tonight that she should teach you not to stick your nose into other's conversation

First rule of COD, when a friendly falls check if he has a better scoped, grenade launcher attachment, and maybe a little laser attached rifle.
And if you're greedy and newbie, switch it with your side arms.
No wonder Russian casualty count is so high wtf is this😂
I imagine its hard to rush a door after seeing your breacher get killed, but hey these men are also built different
The Canberra movement the visuals it looks like a video game how.
It's a good idea, similar to putting casualties on their sides. I'm assuming it's to reduce internal bleeding and choking. Something is better then nothing.
Kicks him in the side after getting shot
"I got you bro I'm a medic"
platoon leader : I'm the leader so I decide when to engage n when to retreat, your job is to heal

Is this a "First Aid" training video for the "Cartel" ? "Shot and Rob" ! Wow !
We was thought if the first going in gets hit, use him as a shield and that’s why the squad leader always goes in second lol
Basically said "if ur friend got dropped like a noob. Loot his gear and get that W"
Keep safe brother
Roll the casualty so that his unknown injury can possibly get worse. He's not drunk hahaha. Also, kneel next to the casualty ensuring the weapons barrel is in line with the casualty's face.
Belly up usually means they are dead or close to dying, by the time you finish the fight (you always eliminate threats first) they might be too far gone.
You start with M that’s why the acronym is MARCH
Also does good to not flag him while he's down
I always thought you want to take weapons from casualties as to not let them have access to it in case of shock or violent reactions
Casually flashing “Dead” guy with gun while on one knee explaining🤣🤣
I'd worry that rolling him over onto his back like that may put him at risk if he has a spinal injury due to GSW, impacts or Shrapnel but I guess asphyxiation would kill faster
Tarkov do be hitting diff
Combat medics are the most badass mfs on the face of the planet next to maybe any Frontliners of course or snipers.
If you’re not able to get casualty to a safe place you probably need to keep returning fire
Circulation. Airway. Breathing.
You can be oxygen deprived a helluva lot longer than it takes to bleed out.
"If your buddy goes down, take his stuff." Dang, I guess videogames are realistic.
Beautiful, love you dearly brother 🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲
This how real men play airsoft with role playing to the maximum
I'll save you all by telling you exactly what you need to do in order to save your battle buddy.
1- Clear the area of enemy.
2- tourniquet high and tight if it's a limb wound. Not on the head or neck tho. Before you even begin moving your battle.
3- get the casualty to cover.
4- Apply actual March procedure which stands for (M) Massive hemorrhage bleeding. This should have already been started while doing CUF. Stop as much of the massive bleeds with Tourniquet (write the time obit), gause and so on remember apply pressure to any arteries that were hit. Packing wounds isn't enough, apply pressure for atleast 3 minutes (A) Airway. Clear the airway and all that jazz. If needed apply a NPA up their nose... But for fucks sake lube it somehow. Spit on it if you have to (R) Respiration. Make sure they are breathing. Watch their chest if it rises, keep your ear close to their face to make sure you feel or hear air. If you notice that one side of their chest rises but not the other, check for chest wound. Apply chest seal. Do not freaking pack a torso wound with gause! The torso is hollow and all you'll do is fill it up pointlessly. Use a non porous seal or tape a plastic square over the wound! Burp the seal if needed or use needle decompression. (C) circulation. Head to toe check for any missed bleeding. Check for a pulse. Neck, wrists, feet. Unless there's a tourniquet you should feel a pulse. If there's a tourniquet and you feel a pulse then tighten the tourniquet. (H) hyperthermia. Use a space blanket, regular blankets or whatever to keep them warm. If possible get them off the ground to avoid loosing body heat with contact with the ground.
Medivac they ass asap by now that 9 line is already sent. Hopefully your medic has reached your location by now and is reassessing the situation. But it's up to you to apply life saving steps on the battlefield if your battle buddy got hit.
And remember switching to your pistol is faster than reloading.

"Hey guys let's buy some airsoft kits and give people bullshit advice that will get people killed"
Might be in a manual somewhere but we all know nobody gets left behind
Warrior ethos
That applies to mission completion
That's how you lose the war, you need to learn to sacrifice something. You will probably get more casualties trying to help your buddy than eliminating the threat now and then see if he still needs help.
That's why Russians will always be the most hated.
Perfect opportunity to kick that one guy in your squad you don't like and potentially win a medal for it.

This sh*t made me laugh. "Yeah flip him over and take his best stuff. YOLO."
This is more of a "work with what you got" situation. Ideally, you should roll him on his left side in to the left lateral recumbent position to prevent airway obstruction and poor circulation. But if youre being shot at, pushing your battle off his back is better than getting domed while sitting in a doorway trying to roll him over.
Dear UF, please stick to making mil sim gear. Let me do my job and I’ll let you do yours.
