Voice Play will never block their videos. They want us to see everything clearly. They don't work under any record label or anyone else. They do everything themselves.
Brittreacts I know you know your stuff production direction , so I love the way your eyes open wide when singers do something special.keep up the great work.
Voiceplay is the name of the group yes. Geoff is the bass, Eli is the bald guy, Layne is the beatboxer, Caesar has the beard, Omar Cardona is the third guy you saw with the high voice and isn't an official member but has sang with them a bunch.
Geoff = Jeff VoicePlay is the group. They started in 1999 as 4:2Five and changed the group name in 2011/12. Only two of the original members remain (Geoff and Layne). You know Geoff - the human bass guitar and then some. Layne Stein is the beat boxer/ vocal percussionist and (albeit humbly) can hold his own against the best in the world. He is known for being extremely organic, but kinda specializes in electronic sounds. Eli (pronounced El-lee) Jacobson is their tenor and rock god. (As said, the bald guy) Cesar is their newest member - sweet and sassy, and oh those curls. Omar is the guest- with the voice like a diamond.
VoicePlay is amazing. Geoff is incredible on his own, but with the addition of Layne, Eli, Cesar and whoever they're featuring (until J. None comes back from the military, and hopefully rejoins the group) the appeal goes exponential. And you think Geoff is creative? Hang on. VoicePlay's catalog is deep enough that you can peruse their channel and find something that suits you. There's pop and rock tunes, Broadway numbers, insanely good medleys of all sorts, and loads of Disney songs. They can do an outstanding cover of Prince (Kiss), then turn around and cover Metallica (Nothing Else Matters), then just as easily they're tackling pieces without any words at all (In the Hall of the Mountain King) and pulling off character voices throughout the song, and making them sound amazing and not at all out of place (This is Halloween, Oogie Boogie's Song, Kidnap the Sandy Claws). They'll make you cry (I Can't Make You Love Me), and laugh (Boybands in 5 Minutes); they'll invite you in to meet their families (Daddy Sang Bass) and use their incredible talent to show you their enormous hearts (outro to the Halo Theme). Just pick something you love. VoicePlay won't let you down.
The sad thing is, Omar would make a perfect fifth for them. But then, so would Ashley, Rachel, and DeeJay. Wonder if the group would be open to go for a sixth member because we all want J None to come back.
You are correct, Geoff, that is him with VoicePlay and his own music. And welcome to VoicePlay rabbit hole, they have 4 guys and then they have people collaborate with them. Check out their cover of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
Welcome to VOICEPLAY!!! :D So glad you discovered them, and yes, they are acapella, and Geoff (pronouced "Jeff") is part of them. It's not Christmas, but you should check out "Oogie Boogie Man" by Voiceplay to really see Geoff's range on display ;)
It's called Oogie Boogie's Song and it's from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. VoicePlay has done 3 other songs from that movie: What's This, This is Halloween, and Kidnap the Sandy Claws.
Normally a guest featured with Voiceplay will be in the middle whenever you see all the members together. So, if you look at a picture of all 5 together, left to right, you have: Geoff (Jeff), Eli (ellie), Omar, Cesar and Layne (beatboxer and also known as VioLayne).
FYI, in case you weren't aware (though you may be) Omar Cardona is the brother of E.J. Cardona of Voctave. E.J. also has a collab with Voiceplay (I Can't Make You Love Me). And E.J. sings the lead on Voctave's cover of O Come All Ye Faithful.
Just fabulously crazy awesome, absolutely love this kind of thing, my reactions were similar to yours Britt lol lol lol the harmony and vocal talents of all 5 Blended so perfect and that song is one of my favorites 🙏
Great reaction! I think (especially if you are a Disney fan) you would enjoy their cover of "We Don't Talk About Bruno". It has some insane vocal voodoo going on, and a little surprise twist with Geoff LOL. Seriously....it is so much fun! So when they are lined up in the hallway....Left to right: Geoff...well you already know him! Eli (pronounced "Elly" (like Jelly) is the little bald tenor with the crazy runs and rockstar voice. Omar is their featured collaborator for this one...he is in the center. Voice of an angel and recently appeared on "The Voice" and made it to the finals! Cesar De La Rosa is next...Fabulous baritone/tenor and absolutely fearless with his high falsetto..he is also Omar's bestie. And Layne...Layne Layne Layne...he of the 6 tongues. LOL. Layne is a damn vocal percussion voodoo master who can make your ears stand up and take notice and make your brain come to a screeching halt. If you like the crazy vocal runs, also check out their cover of BTS' "Butter" which features Deejay Young. He will blow the top of your skull off! Enjoy your trip down the Voiceplay rabbit hole! (Oh another suggestion...their latest... "Golden Hour" by JVKE. It has Geoff's lovely wife Kathy and is just a fantastic video story as well as song cover. Enjoy!
Great reaction. They killed this. Omar was on the Voice this season and ended up fourth. He and Cesar are besties and roomies. You might like their cover of Tennessee Whiskey if you like riffs and runs.
You should check out their newest entries. Nothing else matters, a Metallica cover, if featuring j none and in my room, a beach boy cover, is featuring dj young. Both former members. The harmonies and arrangement are exquisite. One arrangement by geoff and the other by Layne. Totally worth reacting to.
Voiceplay is my favorite accepella group. Geoff (Jeff) is their base singer. Lance is the beatboxer (the man with six tongues :)...), Eli (pronounced L-E) is the bald guy with your favorite runs. Caesar was the man with the beard and Omar was the man in that stood in the middle when they were all lined up. The five of them are phenomenal and have done many songs together my favorite being Superstition (the Stevie Wonder song). Another person who has done several songs with them lately is DeeJay Young and my favorite cover with him is Bang!

Long since I clicked so fast on a reaction video :) And loved it! Now I hope you do this one soon, cause it is a powerful one "My Mother Told Me | VoicePlay feat. Jose Rosario Jr." ! :)
Geoff's name is pronounced as Jeff. VoicePlay is the group, and they are an a capella group. Geoff has his own channel of low bass covers, which is probably where you've heard him before. He and Layn, the beatboxer founded the group way back and have been singing together since middle school. Other members have come and gone over the years. Eli, the rock tenor, joined them years ago and is, together with Cesar, the latest to join, is a full time member. You will see others appearing as guests from time to time as appropriate. They are chosen for vocal style and availability. Oh yes, never cut off a VoicePlay video too quickly, they offen carry on after you think it's done. Geoff started doing his own (non a capella) covers during lockdown when the group couldn't get together.
Absolutely loved your reaction. Liked and subscribed. When you watch Nothing Else Matters you'll get a taste of one of Layne's other talents. It's stunning. But.... given your love of riffs... you really need to listen to their cover of Tennessee Whiskey. About understanding - they actually did a little reversal on the meaning. In the original it comes across as a youthful call to action, and in this one, as you heard, it's more a sad remembrance that life is short. This one was actually conceived (as a video) as a follow-up to their 2020 cover of Imagine Dragons' "Warriors."
Welcome to the Theatre Kids of Acapella. VoicePlay is just soo amazing! They recently release their new one called Golden Hour Featuring Anthony Gargiula. Loved your reaction.
Congratulations on taking your first step into the Voiceplay rabbit hole. They have so many excellent covers to choose from but you should watch their Metallica cover of "Nothing Else Matters".
Greetings from Norway :) You have great reactions, really fun to watch. I greatly recommend you react to Voiceplays cover of Oogie Boogie song, as it is a LOT of fun and really highlights Geoff's talents. After that, Nothing else matters, as it stuns any who listen to it
Enjoyed the reaction! A few suggestions you might like: Queen in 5 Mins, Hoist the Colors, Nothing Else Matters, Dragonborn Comes and Enemy. Hope to see more VoicePlay soon!
Voice place invites man an female singers to join them for different songs, some members have left the group, J None is one of them, Cesar replaced J hes gotva 5 year contract with the Navy, but does pop back in from time to time, Eli voice is so clear.
Thank you for an amazing reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction video to Geoff Castallucci's cover " Sounds Of Silence " You will get the full spectrum of his voice in this.
Pentatonix, Home Free, Voice Play... The trifecta of a capella... Each with a different flavor. There is also an all-female a capella group called Citizen Queen (co-founded by Scott (tall blond in PTX)! Check out their rendition of Killing Me Softly, or their Evolution of Girl Groups!! 🤗 💞
Geoff is pronounced Jeff. Your title lists Omar's last name is Carson, but you're saying it correctly: Cardona. Your reaction was wonderful! The three best beatboxers are in Pentatonix (Kevin), Home Free (Adam), and Voiceplay (Layne). A capella has come a long way from barbershop quartets.
You want to have fun, watch a 10 year old from UK challenge the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, to a drum off twice over the phone and won, and got to play in front of 1000s in California. Her name is Nandi Bushnell 😊, thank you for your reactions, your beautiful and your good at reacting...your hubby is really lucky, hopefully he tells you that every day...❤
Hey! Great reaction ❤ 3:12 is 🔥 Britt, listen! You said: "There's something so special about a'capella music", so... you are now ready for Voctave. You are religious person (afaik), so let's jump into the deep end: _Mary, Did You Know - Voctave feat. Mark Lowry_ (Mark Lowry = the original songwriter), direct link: ua-cam.com/video/uaRpeMT1tjQ/v-deo.html
Great reaction to a great reinterpretation and performance. But Geoff is pronounced the same as Jeff. The spelling originated in France but is pretty common in England, too.
not sure which season it was but Voiceplay and Homefree competed against each other on a season of The Sing Off. Home Free won, but Voice Play and Home Free are good friends, often helping each other out. You need to check some of Voice Plays covers from Nightmare Before Christmas
If you like Accapella - Check out one of their contemporaries. The group is Home Free. They are country accapella but do a wide variety of genres. Check out their renditions of "Hillbilly Bone", " Man of Constant Sorrow", "When a Man loves a Woman", "Ring of Fire", "Some Girls Do", or "Butts Remix/Medley"
Geoff's wife is a very lucky woman that assists him with his solo videos when he isn't performing with Voice play. That bottom note of his has a very primal effect on all women.
Good harmony (If they not using auto-tune und/or pitch correction?), but sorry...This ist not even worthy comparison to das original Aerosmith ROCK music composition. I would never buy this... Maybe if they gave it away for free...Maybe? But probably I would not waste petrol or my time to find it in a store. This type of American GenZ hip-hoppity ist not my thing anyway. I could believe das current American generation may like it though. Auf Wiedersehen :)
Voice Play will never block their videos. They want us to see everything clearly. They don't work under any record label or anyone else. They do everything themselves.
Congrats Britt, you have started down the Voiceplay rabbit hole. Your life will never be the same. Love your channel by the way. You rock.
Brittreacts I know you know your stuff production direction , so I love the way your eyes open wide when singers do something special.keep up the great work.
You'd love their version of "Tennessee Whiskey." Runs from here to eternity.

I think that sound you think he's making with his "6 tongues" is actually just all the panties dropping all over the world.
Voiceplay is awesome, please listen to "nothing else matters" it's another Great cover
Voiceplay - It Ain't Me
VoicePlay is amazing. Geoff is incredible on his own, but with the addition of Layne, Eli, Cesar and whoever they're featuring (until J. None comes back from the military, and hopefully rejoins the group) the appeal goes exponential. And you think Geoff is creative? Hang on.

Welcome to another Acopella grouo, they are off the chain, your behind Ms Britt, catch up, they have a bunch and all gooood
Welcome to voiceplay 🤗 they're amazing
Girl, welcome to the rabbit hole of VoicePlay.Geoff is the founding member of this group that started in middle school.
I love voiceplay because they are very theatrical and have huge talents. I think this is one of their best.

Geoff - pronounced "Jeff." I believe it's just the older English spelling of the name.
Great reaction. They killed this. Omar was on the Voice this season and ended up fourth. He and Cesar are besties and roomies.

Omar was on the Voice last season and is quite the performer with or without instrumentation.
Love your reactions as always. You'e in for a treat with some of the many covers Voiceplay has done as well as the solo work Geoff has done.
2:35, he is Layne Stein. And he's a miracle worker with his mouth
100% more VoicePlay, You. Are. Not. Ready.
Geoff's name is pronounced as Jeff. VoicePlay is the group, and they are an a capella group. Geoff has his own channel of low bass covers, which is probably where you've heard him before. I also love everything instruments bring. That said, a cappella is the purest music there is!
Absolutely loved your reaction. Liked and subscribed. When you watch Nothing Else Matters you'll get a taste of one of Layne's other talents. It's stunning. But.... given your love of riffs... you really need to listen to their cover of Tennessee Whiskey.

You've got to do Voiceplay's Wicked medley.
Love your reactions.

So, Britt. Now we start a long series of reactions on Voiceplay? 😊
Welcome to VoicePlay, Britt! Awesome reaction! And yes, Lane is a freak! Freak-ing awesome vocal percussionist!!

Please do some research and stop yelling in the microphone!!!!!
Omar Carson? Really? The man's last name is Cardona. Do your research.
Really, give it a rest! She says his name correctly each time during the reaction.
If you liked this, watch other Voiceplay videos. I think this is the weakest work of theirs I’ve ever heard.
Great Reaction!!!
BTW, bring back the curly, shorter, hair do. Frames your face nicely.
Geoff is pronounced Jeff.
