@@robertelmo7736check out Powell cams on UA-cam. He has graphs that explains how rocker ratio changes cam duration, I think it changes duration at .050. It happens sooner, so it makes it think it has a larger cam. No two rocker brands are the same as well. Some are “fast ratio” rockers. Meaning, they may be 1.6 at full lift but closer to 2.0 when the valve it’s closed. Learned that from old David vizard. I all depends where that rocker cup is placed. Some rockers can make hp and some can kill hp.
@@robertelmo7736depending on the profile of the cam lobe, it could stay open ever so slightly longer but at any point that the valve is open, it is open further with the 1.6 rr vs the 1.5. It’s not a straight line lift-to-cam position graph it’s a curved ramp.
Duration is cam lobe. At .050 lobe lift the valve will be open farther, at every lift point. Effectively at .050 lobe lift the comparison will be about 2* open quicker valve opening and @ 2* later closing. The valve thinks it's a longer duration cam.

I have a 306 in my 85 GT with 220cc heads Anderson 91cam Victor jr intake with a 950 brawler on top. I was using a stock oil pan. I picked up 4mpg in the1/4 by switching to a different oil pan with baffles and crank scraper. Every little bit helps
Cold parts break and cold oil dont flow! I think those rockers did change the exhaust note too! Man that tune up helped alot, just missed 4th and Andrew got by yah!

Divide your intake and exhaust lift by your current rocker ratio, then multiply it by your new rocker ratio and that will give you your new lift. For example, say your intake lift is 500 and your current rockers are 1.5 ratio, 500÷1.5=333.33 And let's say your new rockers are 1.6 ratio, 333.33×1.6=533.328 So your new lift would be 533.328

Because I’m trying to work the bugs out of the car and it run the best it can before spraying it so I know it’s running as good as it can on motor first rather than compensating with the bottle.

Going from 1.5 to 1.6 or even 1.7 DOES affect lift obviously but duration as well. Great video, guys.

If the car is stock bro, I would stick to stock gap spec as I’ve learn when you being to mod or change anything on these car they get unreliable. 😂😢
