The curtain rises . . . the curtain falls . . . A unique grave stone.
I got a kick out of that too
That was clever.
Well at least it didn't say break a leg. I thought it was great. It could have had the two masks the smile one and the sad one
Like Merv Griffin- I will not be right back after this message.
I missed that detail until Arthur pointed it out.
My beautiful angel is resting here 😔 it's been ten years I miss her so much 💔I would give anything to see her again 😢my mom was the best and sweetest soul ever(GlenHaven)
4.10.57-2.12.10†☁️🥀
I think that a lot of people can relate to this, yes it is so sad.
Vera Ellen was amazing to watch dance, so lovely.
I'm 15, I bet I'm only child here, I dont know whose these people are, but I watch Hollywood Graveyard anyway because it's very interesting! Keep up the great Mr. Arthur Dark!
When you're older, I hope you get the opportunity to travel--I've always enjoyed visiting cemeteries and old graveyards wherever I've traveled, especially in places like Paris and Rome. And you generally don't have to stand in line to get in! Maybe you can carry on Arthur's tradition of doing vlogs :)
I'm 60 and I don't know who most of those people are. That's what's so interesting. Many people that did extraordinary things in movies but most weren't super famous.
Yeah I'm 40 and don't recognize a good deal of these people either but I'm still fascinated by this stuff.
Hey swifty..Death always likes company.Welcome.When I was your age,and I'm sure I can speak for most on here, you just dont have a concept of death.Yes,most on here are beyond your years, but they are the chiseled out stone of Hollywood. Otherwise. Most programs you see would not be here if not for them.Watch the old classics. You will see what Hollywood used to be.I GUARENTEE, you will love them.Start with Laurel and Hardy, then 3 Stooges. Then advance to Bob Hope,Frank Sinatra.Dance with Gene Kelly.."Good morning".The orange juice commercial came from "Singing in the Rain".I talk to much.Sorry.😅😅.But this channel has everyone.
@@6falconsue 👍👍👍👍Exactly. The more he 'digs" the more treasure he will find.
"...and that concludes our tour." Saddest words ever spoken!
No, it's "next we visit the grave of bernard brown."
Never thought of that..kind of a little irony there.😅😅
Jeffrey Hunter was gorgeous!!!!!!
Loved him. Such a sad loss
Len Lesser was one of the nicest guys I ever met. I lived near him when I lived in Burbank. Was always out and bout walking. Talked with him several times.
Happy Heavenly Birthday Robin Williams ~ missing your comedic style... Michael Strong had a guest role in the Columbo TV episode "Negative Reaction" with Peter Falk and Dick van Dyke..
I do remember. 👍👍
Aside from children, nothing is sadder than an unmarked grave.
I was thinking the very same thing.
don't know maybe parents have no money to buy a grave ..
It's a bit sad how many unmarked graves there are and we're just talking famous people. I wonder how many exist in a big cemetery such as this one...

I’m old enough to remember Rose Marie from appearing on Hollywood Squares in the 70s. I’m glad she lived to be in her 90s, God bless her. BTW Instant like as always 👍🏻.
I see new Hollywood graveyard I click
Same
Takes precedence over even Craig Ferguson!
As do I... always.
"Buster" was born Joseph Frank Keaton in Piqua, Kansas on October 4, 1895.
According to legend, he was with his father, Joe. While paying a visit to Harry Houdini, the boy toddled out of site of the adults.
When they noticed the kid was missing, they looked around and saw that he was crawling toward a set of stairs which lead down to the basement of the house.
Before they could reach him, the boy toddled through the door and fell down the flight of stairs.
Terrified that they would find the boy gravely injured or dead, they were astonished and relieved to find him sitting up and laughing.
Harry looked at Joe and said, "That was quite a buster your kid just took!"
That was how he got his stage name.
That's a great story--thanks!
This was the best part of my day! Although the unmarked graves always make me feel sad. Such a shame.
Unmarked graves, I'll still say it, you don't have to spend a huge amount, just don't leave it unmarked, the dead need a name. Love this one man, good job. It's the most styleish grave series ever. Hats off to the style, bow for the honor you give to them.
Bruce Hubbard i agree I was thinking the same thing
I just think it's so rude and dishonorable to leave a grave unmarked. No one said the headstone had to be huge, just big enough to for there name. To me how can you love someone and just not mark the grave. Sounds like they are cheep. I know there can be other reasons but being cheep always hits me first and stays. If your going to be cheep then have them cremated and scattered to the winds.
Vera-Ellen was, IMO, one of the most versatile dancers ever to grace the silver screen in Hollywood, and it's too bad she didn't get as much fame as she deserved to have. She could do tap, ballet, jazz and ballroom dancing, all with equal ease, and with her slender figure and sweet face, she was pretty easy on the eyes, too. It's too bad that she had such a troubled life, with divorces, losing a baby daughter to SIDS, and battling with an eating disorder, and she died of cancer when she was still relatively young, in her early 60s. It was nice to be able to see where her resting place is!
Vera-Ellen had one of the teensiest waists I've ever seen. I'll never forget that from "White Christmas".
Fallon Howland-Reid. And she was gorgeous as well.
And those long thin legs. A very athletic build.
I think the original Vampiria did,ala,Plan 9.
And her legs were like toothpicks!!!!!!
@@johnjenkins8782 long thin legs aren’t athletic 🤣
So very nice to see you again and great job keep up the good work
Nice to see you again Mr. Dark!
Death so becomes you, Arthur😂 You just bring something to death, that I almost kill myself getting to that play button to see whose graves we go to this time😲 Thank you, thank you, thank you🐾🐾🐺
I love what Arthur does and he is from my home state Ut ,,I wish he had time to answer some of these comments and it would be way cool if he did a live chat now and again
I loved Rose Marie. She was so funny. Glad to get to know about Buster Keaton’s mom and the rest of his family. Always enjoy watching your vlogs.
Likes before I even watched it. I get so excited when I see this in my notifications 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Lola Richardson same!! ❣️❣️
Don't we all?!!!
Rose Marie always made me laugh. I still watch the reruns of the Hollywood Squares were she always had a funny comment like Paul Lynne
TheRenaissanceman65 you’re absolutely right! Sorry for mistake!
Glad to see you are doing well Arthur!
Thank you, Arthur! What a shame, all these unmarked graves! A go fund me event should solve this! Sholom... wash your hands =)
Came as soon as i saw the notification!!
Me to
Me too 😊💕
Me also
Rose Marie, I loved her very much - that laugh, it could make me smile any time I heard it! Working right up 'til the end, archiving her career. A long life and much joy memorialised on celluloid her legacy, RIP Rose Marie. The world is sadder for your passing.
I loved her on the Dick Van Dyke Show as Sally and Buddy and Mary Tyler Moore as co stars!
I loved Rose Marie too. She had such a long career beginning as Baby Rose Marie. I loved her on Hollywood Squares.
@@patriciajohnson256 Wasn't she great? Now my grandson's discovering Rose Marie and Morey Amsterdam on The Dick van Dyke Show. It's amazing no matter how old nor how many decades pass talent, good scripts, actors' chemistry, skill and charisma do span time, making new generations laugh. It's amazing watching my grandson as he looks at these shows, laughing and his favourite - apart from Dick van Dyke - is Rose Marie. What an unique legacy Rose Marie's gifted the world.
That smoky,gravelly voice..👍👍👍😅
Ella Raines was a gorgeous lady. May she rest in peace.
Arthur does it again! You always show the utmost of respect for each subject and you always provide great background information. Looking forward to the next installment!
RIP. Dear People. We don’t forget you! 🙏🏻❤️
Uncle Leo needs a headstone!!!!
Come on Jerry you can cough up a few bucks for Uncle Leo can't you? LOL
Agreed!
@@deanzanger9360 Don't you know, Jerry's gonna take it all with him.
Who got excited like me when they got a notification from Hollywood Graveyard?? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
What I really enjoy about watching Hollywood Grave yard is all the " I remember that person" moments.
Is it a little sick that I get so excited when I see you've uploaded a new video? This covers a great group of performers and crafts people. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
One shouldn’t forget about Rose Marie was also a regular on the Hollywood Squares
She was??I just remember her on DVD show
James Sawyer And she wore that hair clip on Hollywood Square.
Buster was not only a comedy pioneer in films but also stunts! They are absolutely incredible to watch and almost unbelievable that he did that.
The list of twilight zone final resting places just keeps growing. Love it!
Amazing to think of what all Jerry Felding did for film scores and shows.
Thanks for taking us all on another adventure with your tours. I always learn a lot!
Rhett. Good to see you here.
Love this channel.
Great stuff. Like yours!
this was a little shorter than usual but still interesting! Thanks for the Keatons, Jeffrey Hunter and Vera-Ellen above all!
He should visit Arlington National Cemetery when it reopens. I’d like to see that.
Famous Marine R Lee Ermey is buried there
So is ww2 most decorated soldier Audie Murphy
So is Lee Marvin, a Purple Heart Recipient
Long drive, but perhaps one day.
@@johnklar5131 And a lot of hiking! The official tour didn't stop at all of the famous graves. Like ABC-TV news anchor Frank Reynolds or Voice of America radio host Willis Conover. Pivate cars in the cemetery are strictly for family. And, are strictly regulated.
So many finds Bernard Gorcey, Vera Ellen, Jeffrey Hunter who died so young I could go on and on... I grew up watching the Bowery Boys every sat afternoon thanks for the memories Arthur. Weird how the Keatons are buried in so many different Cemeteries
@welles2002 wasn't Jeffery Hunter in "The Incredible Shrinking Man"
@Isabel Beckerman I'm sorry I was thinking of Grant Williams.
We LOVE The Bowery Boys, too, and watch their films on DVDs almost every day!
another excellent episode.. not all resting places can have pristine green grass.. I see the dark one dug deep in to his research to get this one.. outstanding!
Always look forward to Hollywood graveyard. Thanks.
Shout out to the music, which continues to be top notch. I especially enjoyed the subtle shift while at the niche of composer Jerry Fielding. Kudos, Giuseppe.
Thank you Arthur. Another excellent video.
I love Vera Ellen. I’ve got the movie and I watch it all the time. She was a wonderful singer and dancer and entertainer. I miss her all the time.
Death is merely a celebration of life... I appreciate these for the history and I quite imagine the families do as well.
There's a good song called Don't Fear the " Reaper"
Arthur you should do all Golden Girls grave
That would be amazing ☺️
I think he already has if not check out memory lane trips with Steve he definitely has ✌
@@piscessmith4785 Only Estelle Getty I believe. ua-cam.com/video/-0lF3jqz51M/v-deo.html at 8.07
I don't think Betty White is quite ready for that!
@@denicesanders4586 Lol. I ❤️ her, hopefully she is with us for a long time to come 🙏

It’s been too long, good to see you!
Thank you Arthur, always a good day when you upload a video ❤️
Love, love, love your channel 🥰

Uncle leo from Seinfeld. That show was very funny.

Hey Arthur , love your work .
jeffery hunter was so dang good in the searchers.
Capt. Pike !!!
I fell in love with him and his blue eyes in the movie "No Man Is An Island"
true
Was he related to Tab??
@@mpatrickthomas Does not look like it!!! His real name was Henry Mckinnies and Tab's real name was Arthur Kelm. But I thought it was an interesting question...I didn't even think about it...thank you!!!
Thanks Arthur! Now it is time to sit back and relax!!
Another WELL DONE vlog. Thank you Arthur and your staff for all the work and time you put into to these fine rememberances of entertainers that sadly have moved on to entertain the souls in heaven...Take care
I love the music .... not dark and depressing but catchy and cheery... and so much interesting information about these talented people ... Ella Raines was a true beauty 😍
UA-cam: new Hollywood graveyard video upload Me: instant watch
Thanks Arthur another interesting and informative episode. The Searchers is one of my favourite films Jeffrey Hunter was so young when he passed. And thank you for including Vera Ellen she was a talented and beautiful performer. Take care.
Amazing to see so many well known names in these out of the way cemeteries!
I've been to this cemetery several times . I live in the valley. It's actually the only cemetery I know that's literally open for 24 hours. It's a very very scary place & at the same time I really love it. During the day. I've been here at nite , one time with a friend . We were in the car eating pizza & no joke, a black figure whizzed right by my car . We booked it on outta there . I've been there on very rainy stormy days which is an awesome time to be there. It's for some reason a very quiet cemetery that not many people at all go to. Probably because it's located at the end of a street hills. It's a very creepy cemetery. Also, whenever I've gone there , the neighbors who live out there don't like people near here for some stupid reason.
Another thing is all the times I've been there , I've not once seen any maintenance people , no funerals or anything at all. It's the perfect cemetery if you really don't want to be bothered by anyone . It is weird how there's no activity there . But I love it that way 🤫
A rumour is that either the manager , groundskeeper or owner is a KKK member. .
Gravity Hill is also here.
I'd advise anyone to bring people with them & not go alone here, especially at nite.
But it is very cool to know that you can sleep here if you want & chill because there no closing hours here. it's always open.
Wow, just crazy. I wonder if those neighbors who hate visitors should be buried in a spot that will never be visited when they die...
Does the cemetery look like it's being maintained? I would love to visit and pay Len Lesser my respects, big Seinfeld fan. He was hilarious as Jerry's crazy Uncle Leo.
Love your series! Always interesting and very respectful
Wow GH is my favorite show ! Glad you posted I missed these! 🤩👍
I am just amazed at how well these videos are researched, filmed and narrated. All these famous people buried and forgotten until Arthur comes along and gives them the respect they deserve.
Your research and communication of these lives represented, so good 😊
I always look forward to your videos
Len Lesser made me laugh watching him on Seinfeld. Terrific timing 😜
Jeffrey Hunter, Vera-Ellen, Len Lesser, and Michael Strong are the best highlights of this episode 👍.
I hope some notable people and stars like Gwen Guthrie, Jack Holt, Shirley Temple-Black, Gene Kelly, Grace Kelly, Fortin Ciccone (Madonna's mom), Christopher Lawford, Lauren Bacall be featured in the next episode 🙂
So glad to see another film. Thank you for these walks down memory lane
Sir, your best by far. I have watched every one of them with my wife and for some reason, we believe this is your best one yet.
Thank you for sharing your video hope to see you soon again love your videos.
I have been watching your videos for so long and as soon as I saw Vera-Ellen I freaked out. She means so much to me so thank you so much for visiting her because not a lot of people go to her grave. I have a Vera-Ellen account on Insta (sorry for the self promo lol @veraellenforever) and will make sure to share this video with all the other Vera fans. Once again thank you so much Xx
I loved Vera-Ellen, especially her dancing! with Danny Kaye in White Christmas! I am still kind of new with what and how to look for perks or anything else I might miss! I joined and mistakenly deleted my membership, but i re enrolled right away, so i hope that i am still a member! Love Hollywood graveyards and Arthur! Thank you all for sharing your parts of history that i might have missed
Vera was such a talent.
I find it incredibly sad that some people, especially entertainers who gave us so many laughs, are buried with no marker to memorialize their final resting place; and that they are buried alone without family surrounding them. It makes me wonder if they lived sad, lonely lives without family surrounding them to give them love and companionship. I always question, "Where is their family?"
I always enjoy your videos. Your respectful tours of cemeteries is both informative and educational. Thanks for preserving the history of some of our greatest performers.
I love the line from Seinfeld. I saw you stealing a book. Well you could still have said hello.
My favorite Uncle Leo episode was when his eye brows got burned off and Elaine drew him some. Too freaking funny.
Hahaha. And the leo prison dream. And Jerry ratted George out.."Floor,Floor".😅😅😅😅
@@brendathompson2288 😅😅😅Yes.The Elaine blacklisted one.
Loved Emily McLaughlin in GH!
Arthur you make my day when I see a new video from you. Thanks 🥀
Thank you for showing Jeffrey Hunter ... Legendary Cpt Pike
Always a surprise to see a new one, thanks!!
Just love what you do finding so many that made life a bit funnier and easier.
I'm surprised that many died of cancer and that many were buried without a marker.
A lot of them smoked back then, and cancer treatments weren't like they are now. The markers tho...that's so sad.
I look forward to watching your videos because they are so very interesting.
Thank you, Mr. Dark.
Auther, so great to hear your voice and see you video again.
Such memories from some of these stars.
Stay safe and keep 'em com'n. 📽🎬🎥
I just love you and your content!
I felt a shiver when I saw Ella Raines. I am related to her.
Got the notification and zoomed on over to see your video ! Loved Jeffrey Hunter in King of Kings. I think they called him the Blue Eyed Jesus.
Another AWESOME VIDEO!!!! PLEASE keep them coming!!!
It’s so sad how many have been taken from cancer. As a cancer survivor, it truly hits a little harder. Rest In Peace, beautiful souls ❤️

Hey, Ray's Here...ha ha haaa! Garvin was one of my favorite characters on Everybody Loves Raymond! Also a fan of Vera-Ellen.
I like that you highlight graves that have no markers.
I get so into it I'm always surprised when it's over
Yay! Bedtime story 😴😍
I remember Vera Ellen best from On the Town. I've seen that film about 20 times, so it's not surprising!!
Michael Strong as Dr. Korby is haunting!--a magnificent performance!
