What can I say. Arthur Dark is one of the most talented, creative and outstanding influencers here on UA-cam. His videos are gifts to us all. Thank you Arthur.......and thank you Giuseppe Vasapolli for your wonderful musical talents that have also added so much to these videos.
Exactly. I share my admiration of AD with Vic Stefanu, another wonderful guide of these gardens of marble. Each has his charm but AD is by far the most informative.
I came to make the same comment about "Jesus of Nazareth" - absolutely a masterpiece and my favorite of His earthly life. And who did he pick to portray Mary? Juliet from his other masterpiece "Romeo and Juliet", Olivia Hussey.
@@melissaupton2097 Absolutely! And she was wonderful in it. Come to find out Herodias was played Valentina Cortese, who was also featured in this excellent video. God bless.
Having been to Venice and Riccione, it is worth the trouble and time. The beauty has to be seen in person, not through a TV or computer monitor. They do it no justice. Italy is only rivaled by Switzerland in the winter in terms of overall beauty. One warning if you do go to Italy, the beaches are gorgeous just like the French Riviera but the water is too bloody cold to swim in!
if you're interested, another notable one in that style is Staglieno monumental cemetery (it's near Genoa); some of the statues are so accurate that give us a glimpse of those times fashon, etc.

Those of us who will never have the joy of travel and exploration of the world's beauty thank you kind sir. Our lives are blessed with a bit more color and knowledge due to you. We humbly thank you~
I hope you had a wonderful trip sir! I can't wait to go to Italy someday...Florence is something to behold... -Zeffirelli also did Jesus of Nazareth, an epic mini-series in the late 70's watched by us Catholics every Easter.... -Heroes in a Half Shell -I love Dante's Inferno
I know you have heard this more times then you can remember but I still have to say it 🤷🏻♀️ your respect for the deceased and their families is so refreshing and beautiful to hear. The amount of time, research and love you put into each video you and your team put out is absolutely beyond the norm for many videos that are published daily in any and all social media platforms that exist today. Death is so sad and final and leaves families so crushed. You take this final chapter in someone's life and turn it into something so interesting and beautiful and gives the deceased person a beautiful epilogue that is filled with respect and joy that one cannot help but be in awe of the time and research with you put into each and every person you include in your videos. Thank you for doing what you do and showing the world that even in death one can find beauty. You are so very talented and I appreciate seeing that not everyone is desensitized from all that is ugly in the world today. You give each person a piece of their dignity back when the world is looking for dirt to gossip about after a celebrity passes away. Thank you for all that you do 💕
We owe a big thank you to a lot of these people who were early scientists. If it wasn't for them, we would be in the dark age and more ignorant of the world around us.
You forgot Antonio Maspes..who was right below Giorgio Gaber..he was an Italian world champion sprinter cyclist who won several Olympic medals. Thank you for a great video..I know you can't get to them all...you are a legend Sir Arthur. Thank You!
You did it again Arthur . This was magnificent . It was like seeing parts of Italy in a travelogue . What a beautiful and majestic place . Arrivederci Arthur .
For the first time since watching these videos that I cannot say what I loved best. The artist's who's work has become priceless, the composer's who's work has somehow never aged or the historic figures from the early 1400's through the years. I'm at a loss for words, totally outstanding video this was. I can't forget some of the cemeteries that were shown in this video. Outstanding from start to finish.
This was one of my favorite videos. You captured the essence and beauty of the Italian culture and these amazing people. Thank you. Your videos always fascinate me.
After seeing the cimiteri di Italia, it’s a wonder the Earth’s supply of marble and granite isn’t depleted. Just incredibly beautiful architecture and sculpture. Again, mile grazie, Arturo!
Thank you, sir. My time on this world is limited and I am no longer able to travel. Thank you for the beauty and majesty of this beautiful country. My heart is filled with gratitude.
What an exceptional tour. Personally, I wish you would been able to do just a walking tour thru some of the cemeteries. Every monument was an absolute gem. Grazie mille!
Milan...just wow! I got goosebumps just looking at all the art! I love how you interject modern day culture when explaining who these great artists were. Thank you, Arthur. You made my week! Ciao!
The 20 dislikes are people without class whatsoever! Beautiful episode. You just out do yourself every time! Vendí, what talent and Pavarotti what a voice! Thank you Mr. Dark for such an episode full of treasures!
This Italian Tour is by far your best work. I felt I was there with you as you walked through these cemeteries. Thank you so much for your hard work. Looking forward to your next project.
I am from Parma! I am very happy that you stopped in my small town,I hope yuo liked it.I follow you because i love cinema, old Hollywood stars, your films are always interesting, accurate, never banal and so are those of your trip to Italy. It is always interesting to see your country through the eyes of someone coming from abroad. Grazie bravissimo !!💟
I’ve been there, and in the same places that Arthur’s been to 17 yrs ago. Amazing and beautiful place. I’ve been to Galileo grave and the one across, and have seen the real statue of David as well. It’s so cool to watch this and to knw that I was at all of these place he just went to.
The cenotaph of Dante is so mesmerizing. Firenze's greatest regret was that they did not allow him to return there. Gianni Agnelli's grave should be visited for the next grave tours. Anyways, it is a great show and tour in Italia.
...I struggle to understand why should Silver Nose be featured. Just because Ferrari was, doesn't mean all carmakers should. Or is it because his family is the Italian equivalent of the Kennedys? 😒
Bravo and well done!!! Excellent presentation. I got chills when you showed Galileo's grave. This part alone could have been a two-parter itself. Milan's cemeteries are the most beautiful I have seen so far.
This has been brilliant! The whole European series has been informative and riveting. This last video for me, has been the best. It has been absolutely stunning!!
Love your Italy segments. Remembering my trip there in 2014 and would love to go back someday. I'm getting a better tour of Florence than when I was actually there. I did get some great shots of The David. The architecture and art are breathtaking.
I love that I’m not the only weirdo that finds cemeteries interesting and beautiful and fascinating. The bonus is the incredibly famous are featured along with all those behind the camera who are stars in their own right. 🥰
Wow. I'll be honest, I burst into tears upon seeing the grave Eva Peron was originally buried in. Supposedly, the Vatican helped bury her because they (quite wrongfully) compared Juan Peron to Mussolini and weren't fond of the Perons because of that. I'm just glad they allowed her to return home and be properly laid to rest in her family's tomb. Overall, this was a wonderful tour of Italy. Can't wait to see what's next.
I like this series. Also in Modena there is also the tomb of the great soprano (who shared a wet nurse with her exact contemporary Pavarotti) Mirella Freni.
Modena! La mia città. ❤️ È bellissimo vederla in uno dei tuoi video. well, Italians by nature are artists
That's true been there seen all of it many years ago! I should never have returned for l am Italian and l fell in love with Florence!

I agree 100% agree
I agree. He does seem to know a lot about the great men and women of the past and gives us a guided tour of where they rest.
Zeffirelli's masterpiece: Jesus Of Nazareth. You are living the life, Arthur. Amazing work.

O!!!! Super!!!
I would have to say that Milan had the most incredible cemeteries. Breath taking
No one does it better than Italy 🇮🇹 food, culture, men and now their cemeteries ❤

We owe a big thank you to a lot of these people who were early scientists. If it wasn't for them, we would be in the dark age and more ignorant of the world around us.
And it was good that the Catholic church honored these people by placing them here even though they died as martyrs.
If the religious had it their way, they would wipe all of these people from memory.
All we as a people needed to do was put the Church in the background so as not to hinder MANs advancement.
I loved this and blame Bugs Bunny for my love of opera and classical music.
I learned about so much classical music from cartoons. Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry and others were all educational!
