I love Confidential. But why would you use Confidential with sharp edges in a multi hybrid set up? Of course she’s breaking the multi crosses. The confidential is sawing through them.
Completely agree with you. Also Harry, why does the focus always has to be on Solinco? A nice first hybrid or even a full bed of poly would certainly be good too with Wilson Revolve or Yonex PTP...
It should be Multi-Main Poly-Cross, Poly-Main Multi-Cross, then all poly for a full transition. Strange that you would use a shaped poly with a multi, as the poly would rip right through it. A round poly should be a better bet.
I was thinking exactly this when he described that set-up. Makes no sense to put an aggressively shaped poly as a cross to a multi main as it will just saw through it. That's the kind of stuff that makes me question if he has any idea what he is doing or talking about.
I like the multi in the mains, and poly in the cross, you get better playability with the multi in the mains. The girl should buy her own stringing machine, she would save so much money in the long run.
Why not start with a soft poly like Hyper G Soft (I know Harry is sponsored by Solinco), Isospeed Cream, Luxilon Element and pare it with a less expensive Multi like Tecnifibre Multifeel, Wilson Sensation or Head Velocity MLT and save some $, give them an affordable option Harry.
That's because he likes Confidential, so has decided to push it to his customers, instead of recommending options that work for them or simply make sense (and shaped poly / multi hybrid doesn't).
"She does only break the (multi) crosses, I would love to see her break the (poly) mains one day". This will never, ever, happen, as poly is a much harder material than multi, and the multi will always break first. To put this down to her stroke mechanics rather than this simple fact just shows how little the guy actually understands about tennis.
no just get head rip control 16 full multi it is best one overall. no need to use poly unless you are a string breaker or absolutely need the spin. head rip control is the most durable multi lasts months before breaking. i am suspicious stringers dont want to recommend it because it eats into their bottom line. why offer a string which doesnt need to be restrung often? instead of them getting 6 string jobs a year from you this multi only is needed once or twice a year
Thanks for response. My mistake-was wondering about a "premium" multi in a poly/multi hybrid with poly in mains. If most of playability comes from poly in mains, why spend extra on expensive multi in crosses?

@@dannylefevre1016 Polytour Fire would be a good one too for a hybrid. Being very slick, one would think it reduces the abrasion of the multi.
Totally!, a MUCH more sensible combo: Outlast mains Triax Crosses

how u seen his swing? thats all u gotta know
Sorry man... I used Prince Topspin for years, strung at 65 lbs and it does spin a lot,,, No struggle there!
Great content! Is it worth paying for an expensive multi like NRG in a multi?

Leylah seemed to enjoy your Prince Topspin story. 😉 👏

Genau.
Your bias towards confidential is astounding……
Yup, so much so that he puts it in a set-up that makes no sense.
its a really hard string not suited for 5.5 or below imo
Yep... So transparent lol
