This whole video consists of RCA Victor with the perfect blend of style, class, and innovation. I'll say it again, everything then looks more modern than today's flotsam.
I think the Europeans were the last to give up big console stereos--things like Telefunken and Grundig, just about impossible to repair. Note that one of the phonograph needles shown is labled MG. That stands for 'microgroove,' which was one of the trademarks for the LP (long-playing 33.3 rpm) records. The other needle was for the old 78's. I fixed the things for many years; component stereo only became popular when servicemen brought them home from Japan during the Viet Nam war.
Wow! You just reminded me of the needle on the stereo that could be turned one way for "my" kiddie records, and the other way for "Mom and Dad's" music. I would have forgotten all about that... Thanks!!
Dear God, everything was so beautiful 50 and 60 years ago. Absolutely, everything had tons and tons of character it seems. Everything today, is a carbon copy of everything else, and is as dry, dead, and boring as you can get. My Best. Best of 2019. Out.
@Fresburger : Yes, but I can't see why we can't have all our modern gadgets but have them have that beautiful, old school, wood, look to them. It's so much more, beautiful, warm and charming to use, rather than have everything basic, black, cold and uninviting to use. It's everything today; cars, furniture, architecture, all interior design, modern music, and all the high tech toys everyone uses today. Everything, pretty much. Because we see this nowhere anymore, and have not for quite some time, I believe any company who seeks to make modern things on this older, mid century, wood, look would do booming business actually, because "old" would now, be the "new" new again. People would go crazy for it. They can't loose. Unless modern taste have gone into the trash bin altogether. Best of the Christmas Season. Be Well. Be Safe. Out.
@@chatnoir5157 : I wish they did too. They can incorporate all, the latest digital gadgetry into these lovely, old, vintage, style exteriors, and have beautiful things to display today. My Best. Best of 2019. Out.

I agree 💯 ! I don’t buy anything new if I can help it.
I regret to report that we said precisely the same thing about the new stuff we saw 50 or 60 years ago.

Does anyone know the make and model of the first and second record players shown? Thanks.
Sorry that I can't offer any info on that. Hopefully someone else can.
Oh, okay, thank you for replying. Where did you find the video? I may find some info from that.
I think the first player is emerson, but model I do not know.
No it looked exactly like an RCA
Larry Shaver, do you know what year and model?
They don't make fancy stereos like that now.
I wish they did!
