Wow 😮 absolutely amazing sound so rich and warm and absolutely stunning looking radiogram console most cheap crossley turntables or the mass produced cheap low end turntables can’t compete on sound
I should hope not, when these things were new they cost about a months wages, so we're expensive and built to last. Even a cheap record player with a built in speaker back then would have cost a week's wages
Wow what a beautiful radiogram console. Looks absolutely stunning, in immaculate condition and sounds amazing too. These old hifi systems were true works of art. Compared to some of today's players like Crosley Cruisers there really is no competition.
I had something similar to this unit, but I couldn't keep it because of my siblings being upset with me.... I was hoping to take it with me when I was thinking about relocating to a new place.... The unit would have been 50 years old if I still had it and done some repairs....... The unit was a system that had a bar in the center and a record slot above the bar which was open with a special key..... Anyone who has the system is very lucky.... I sure miss the unit because it was in the family until 2019 when my mother passed away..... I hope to one day find another unit like that..... It was very lovely and beautiful system back then........ I believe it was on the market for 600 to 900 dollars back in the early 70s........
Luis, It is a spectacular Console and in great condition. Most old Consoles look battered and aged. Check out the one I made on my channel. It took around 3 months to put together.
The tuner/amplifier is Grundig's model HF-550, as can be seen in their 1970/1971 catalogue: www.hifi-archiv.info/Grundig/1970-Hifi-8/grundig70-04.jpg www.hifi-archiv.info/Grundig/1970-Hifi-8/grundig70-05.jpg
That is the nicest console stereo I have ever seen and it looks like it just came out of the box. I notice it has a Duel changer. I grew up with Magnavox consoles. This unit is so much more sophisticated. I would have loved to see an up close picture of the control panel.
WOW, it look so new and the turntable is so modern, everything in it look amazing, can I ask you something? there were something like big paper with cream color and something was written on it, what was that and what was writtin on it mean?
@@kaimauracher6758 thanks for the answer, I saw the manual, what I asking about was something like record casing(cream color) with small white label I think it was the price label I tried read what was written on it it was strange letters, what was it and with which language is that? thank you.
@@zack4382 I think what you're referring to is in the video just after they show the manuals, in the storage space next to the manuals there's an album cover with some odd looking writing at the top? That would be Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower (and that odd writing at the top is just his name in a very stylized font but it is English). As it was released in 1974, in terms of its age it "fits", but not really LOL--I'd picture this album played through something more like my old Marantz 2270 "blue dial" receiver, in a bedroom lit with black-light and glow in the dark posters HAHA!!!
Just wondering... Was a reel to reel suppose to be on the left side...Thats way too much room just for a cassette the size of a portable. Too bad you didn't put Robin Trower on instead
It really looks to me the Australia was the last country to make very high quality consoles. In the US by the 1970's they were junk. P.S. Your version of that album isn't even listed on Discogs.
@@melissawebb478 thanks best wishes, but I, d be happy if guide me to a place / auction or exhibition where I can have similar radio - turntable ks 793 or ks 780 u we stereogram , thanks

I like the way they went all out with all the fancy features in them days. Nowadays it's very limited with a high price tag slapped on it.
Classic design and built.
Look and sounds great
Beautiful record player
