Mercedes W204 Thermostat Replacement - Unnecessary Struggles

This is by no mean the best video about replacing thermostat on your W204 Mercedes, but I did my best to keep all the struggles that came along without dragging the video for too long.
This works on 2008 to 2011 Mercedes C Class engines that produced to the United States Market
Tools needed:
17 mm socket with ratchet
E12 Socket
E14 Socket
T30 Socket

Removing the bolts from the air is unnecessary, you can reach that bolt at the bottom of the thermostat housing with an 1/4in 8mm socket and a little bit of force. I’ve learned from doing a few, saves you from even more unnecessary struggles!

True you can reach it this way, but I was afraid it'll slip and round the bolt. Thank you for the comment.

How did you end up fixing the leak at the end? I have the same problem. 😢

Somehow I messed up one of the bolts and it wasn't tight, so I got new bolts and started over and it worked great, no leak yet

@@NWCI i appreciate the reply bro 🙏 I changed the bolts too and tightened them up but it still leaking. It leaks from the top right corner opposite of where the bolt is, I think I might just need some sealant👍
