  • I’ve made a bunch of videos here on the channel that contain iPhone tips, and while I think they’re all really good, they’re usually just a random collection of things that I’ve discovered. What I’ve not done up until now, is just share a bunch of tips that I genuinely use, all the time, with my iPhone - because that’s the whole point right, tips need to be genuinely useful, not just random.
So, here’s 8 genuinely useful iPhone tips that I swear by, and that I actually use often, some of them I use every day. Stick with me until the end of the video, I really think there are some gems in here.

3 control center items that I use all of the time:
    * Text Size: Change the text size for a specific app
    * Hearing: Turn on background sounds like dark noise
    * Magnifier: User your camera as a magnifying glass
Other tips I use that I don't see talked about very often:
    * Tell Siri to "remind me about this" when viewing a note, message, email, or website. It creates a reminder and automatically creates a link to that thing you were viewing.
    * On a screenshot, tap the (+) and use things like Opacity and Magnifier to make the screenshot awesome.
    * Create a PDF from a website. Tap Share, then Options and select PDF, then save to Files.
    * Mark a message as read without opening the app. Press-and-hold on the notification as if you are going to reply. And then tap outside of the window. It will dismiss the notification and mark your message as read.

2:57 This is such a helpful tip - thank you! I didn’t realize I could convert the raw files so easily. I discovered I can convert a selection of images all at once - in the folder (in files) of raw files, tap the elipse at the top right of the screen and choose select, then tap the elipse at the bottom right of the screen to chose convert. I find it much easier to just select the photos you want and then press the share button and select where you want to share them like in the text app. Just as easy and you dont have to go through all this dragging using 2 fingers. Using share is easier to use for most people and just as fast.

Love your tips for practical usage in the home retired so do not use business type info, but as I have been low vision all my life, I use Apple devices because of the zoom feature. But do you have any knowledge of how to make the letters not the keyboard itself, but the letters on the keyboard, bigger and maybe bolder. I find Wayback in the five or six upgrades for the phone that, they started making letters thinner and paler in color very difficult for those of us that need more contrast. And yes, I have tried the dark mode on my devices don’t like it :-) any info on making the keyboard letters larger would be hugely appreciated.

Hello Proper, love your show I’ve been watching you for a long time, but I don’t subscribe to anything more because you are so full of information at this level that going further would just leave me without time to do anything else! Hope you take this as a compliment. My point in sending you this message is that at the very end you mentioned that you can select Shazam from the control center “if you don’t want to use Siri“ Well the truth is that when you ask Siri what song is playing it uses Shazam. Whenever I want to figure out what song is playing I just hold my digital crown on my watch and say Shazam and it just does the job. Thanks for listening or reading.
