Another useful feature of Siri when your hands are busy & your phone is ringing at a distance, you can say : “hey Siri answer the call on speakerphone” Very handy !!
Yes in and out of icloud info like if we can delete multiple backups, or like if delete the photo on iCloud then will it be deleted from the photos app confusing stuff like that
I think one reason these videos are so useful is because you model exactly how to make a specific request. I find that unless I know the words to use, I get bogged down. I often think it’s the panic that comes from knowing some entity is waiting for a clear request. May be an odd reaction, but I wonder if others experience it too!
I have to say I truly appreciate your videos. Not only for the clear teaching manner you have about them, but man - the professional look and editing. Extremely well done videos with effects, transitions, synced up videos… Impressive.
Your videos are always very informative! Sometimes you give me new ideas about how to get better use of the little tricks for my IPhone. I also love your style - as if you were sharing it with a friend ❤ Thanks for all you do to make our lives a little less frustrating 😅
I use Siri quite a lot and find her quite helpful most of the time. All the tips to use Siri I got from this channel or I would not have known! I always use Siri to turn on/off my torch with the command “Lumos “/“Nox” - from Harry Potter 😊 Again PHT told me this command. Love this channel 💜
Thanks. I didn’t know most of these. I rarely use Siri, not because I dislike the assistant, but because I’ve never gotten around to learning it. I’m likely to actually use some of these!
Proper Honest Tech, hey fella I can honestly say you have one of the clearest and easiest voices to listen to and understand. You definitely come across as extremely professional in my opinion.
The email search is the best for me! I wish I saw this video two days ago! I was searching for a specific email, and iPhone does not have the search option….now I know it does! Awesome
You have the best videos. I always learn new useful ways to use Siri from you and other valuable information. Thanks for all you do to bring us worthy content. Kindness, Teresa
Once again another brilliant Siri video. These are just so very helpful. I use Siri for just about all my queries all day every day, and yet again, you have surprised me with functionality that I was unaware of. Thank you so much for the Siri videos.. I’m really hoping that Apple will absolutely deliver with new Siri features. Siri doesn’t have to be chat GPT, but she could be so much better. Siri ought to know everything on your device and be able to help you with it all.
@@justinedge4834 google does do some very good things Justin , but google is far from perfect mate , and in some other ways behind . If you compare google , bixby ,Siri , all three of them have strengths and weaknesses in certain areas. And at times all of them get even the most rudimentary tasks wrong , none of this Ai stuff is fool proof , even if it is still very cool.
Am not a google fan at all for the personal assistant and will choose Siri each and every time. However, I think google is really great for other things.
Great Siri video! I use many of the things you mentioned that Siri can do often. There were a couple of things I didn’t know but will start using them. I didn’t know that Siri will pronounce words when asked. There is a music instrument in the Bible I didn’t know the correct pronunciation of it. I asked Siri and it gave me the British pronunciation and also the American pronunciation. Kudos to Siri! Thanks
One thing I find helpful, especially having multiple Apple devices is the ability to put the phone face down and Siri will not respond on this device that works so that I can use Siri on my iPad. For example or so many other Apple devices are on my home just a helpful to know when you might have to make a change in your settings to make it work if it doesn’t work for me Attley.
That is really helpful. I love that Siri no longer needs “Hey”, just Siri works. Siri has become more like Kaylee in “Why Him”, more conversational. You mentioned a computation, but did you know Siri will do running computations, ie Siri what is 45 times 438 ?, she responds, then you can ask, what is that answer divided by 3.142? Siri gives the answer. The fact that Siri now stores a value or item, I am expecting that I can ask, Siri, remember I need to pay the rent, or remember that the mail is in the kitchen. You covered where am I, but I need for Siri to remember this location. A number of times I have been driving and seen buildings I want to go back to later. When I am being guided by Maps, I don’t necessarily know where I am or how I got there. Siri store this trip will be useful. I suddenly hold out great hopes for Siri, especially as you have opened my awareness to Shortcuts App, and GoodLinks App. I live on a boat where there is an elevated level of domestic automation, and Siri can do a lot in this environment.
I don’t know why, but from my very 1st iPhone I ever had think around 2012 ……I always set Siri to the Australia version, it was a Nicer voice, (I live in the UK)………her real name is Karen Jacobsen. Then a few years ago I happened upon 2 Australia guys hosting a radio show on instagram, taking about Siri and “Karen” actually phoned in to speak to them, they thought it was a wind up, but it was real, and the story of how she came to be the ACTUAL voice of Siri Australia …. Was an interesting story. She is very helpful 😂 … great channel …… thanks
Great, easy-to-understand and follow info, explained slowly and clearly! PS. How do you get Siri to consistently capitalize the first letter of a word?
This was so useful, thank you! I swapped Samsung for iPhone & I've used Siri for some of the basics but this has been incredibly helpful. I'm also looking for another VPN provider so I'll take a look at PIA.
Hey bro.. Thank you so much for the informative videos you do on Apple. I have one question, please assist me on this Q: When you use Apple Maps when driving, it will mirror the directions on my Apple watch as well, I would like to stop mirroring driving directions on the watch, please help me with this, thank you.
Thank you. Very thorough and easy to understand. Could you do a video on how to transfer data to a new apple device from an old one? Like an Ipad for example.
Hello, and thank you once again for excellent and informative videos done in such a calm and concise manner. I wonder if you can help with a very annoying situation when it comes to invoking hey Sir by a voice command.i..Say I want to have Siri start recording a a voice memo, but it keeps saying: "you will have to unlock your iPhone first", despite its being allowed when the phone is locked. This is particularly annoying whilst one is driving.
I always get Siri to play the latest BBC news to wake me up in the morning "Hay Siri play the latest BBC news". I use voice control on my iPad all the time, no pinky marks and it's quick and easy navigation with apps. Very handy when lying in bed as you have total control even a grid that you can use to tap specific things, once you get the hang of it you hardly ever even have to touch the iPad.
I’ve got a few smart plugs for lamps and such around the house. Until recently, whenever I instructed “Siri, turn on bedside lamp” - I’d get a spoken acknowledgement from Siri that it had been turned on or off etc” (or more frequently - “not responding…”). This has changed to s simple tone now - I’ve been all through the settings having followed lots of vids on UA-cam- Siri settings are set to announce calls when I have AirPods in - which it does, “Prefer spoken responses” is ticked etc, but still no luck - any thoughts?
Hi Love your Vids, 12 Pro max latest version, find my car in Maps at the bottom is Allow Photo Providers**** I don't see extensions Ride Booking or Show parked car, I have reset the phone, any idea? George
I’m having trouble with iCloud not syncing my “Notes” between my iPhone and iCloud. Same Apple ID. Any suggestions? Thanks. I enjoy your videos and just subscribed.
I am so horrible at all this technology I just learned my passwords are saved in settings. I have a notes with all that information I type 😂😂. Ty for the great tips
If you have all of your passwords saved in iCloud Keychain (in Settings) then delete that note, as if your phone is ever stolen, it's the first place someone will look. Or at the very least, lock the note (watch one of my notes videos for how to do that!) 👍🏻
Good morning, I have iPhone 14 and it's using iOS 16.6 and notice in my MAPS app I don't have the “show parked location”. Does this have anything to do with my Beta Updates off? Thank you.
Great video. One question. My watch doesn't show the 'tip' icon when I open the calculator app on my Watch (series 8 latest software). and for some reason the calculator doesn't show on my available apps on my iPhone although it shows on the watch. Is it to do with regions as I'm in Australia ?
You forgot one Me:tell me a knock knock joke Siri:knock knock Me:shut up bruv Siri:let’s try that again.I say knock knock and you say who’s there Me:your mum
Amazingly informative, as always. Thanks for the information. Curious though, you keep mentioning (apart from AI), there are better voice-assistants. What might it/they do that SIRI doesn’t? It’s hard to compare when one only has what one has. Thanks!! 😊. ALSO, what Apple HAS to do one of these days, is permit someone to ‘unlock’ without physically doing so. Perhaps a special password that also requires voice recognition?? Thanks!!
Again, another very helpful vid. Thank you. I used PIA for a while, and it was fine. Occasionally I would have connectivity issues. I've tried others, too, with mixed results. Currently I'm using Mullvad, the NYT Wirecutter's top recommendation. So far no performance issues, except split tunneling on a Mac is a bit of a cluster. That bit is definitely not plug and play. So far that's my only negative.
Is there anyway to get Siri to do things for me without getting that annoying ‘You’ll need to unlock your iPhone first’ message? Once when I asked it to read back a shopping list I heard that. Why does a shopping list require an extra security step? Annoying! I’d love to bypass that somehow. Thank you!
