Elna, the more I see your videos and interviews, the more i learn. You provide such insight and guidance. You really separate yourself from the "Gurus" selling courses just to sell courses or unrealistic results!
Thanks so much! I love creating content and videos!
Great video Elna! Subscribed to your email list a few days ago, and checkin out your channel. Thanks for this!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for this great video. I've been trying find my niche as blogger who writes to inspire & motivate. Now I'll be using the title Blog & Article Copywriter. I've also subscribed.
Oh thank you so much! So glad this was helpful!
@@ElnaWrites I watched more of your videos & I love them. I went a step further and broke it down to the title of Self-Improvement Blogger. This made a huge difference because. By doing that & changing my site a bit one of my readers can see exactly what my blog is about. Continued blessings to you.
@@MsDeeFuturehow has it been so far
It was going ok. Revised again to Self Improvement Blogger & Self Improvement Copywriter. I find depending on the platform is where you gain the most by your title.
Thank you for sharing informative video🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Your due diligence is much appreciated! ❤
Thanks for the report Elna! The data provide crucial insights into the trends.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent Elna. Much appreciated.
Thanks Elna, Quite informative.
How about writing on current affairs [issues] such military coups in Africa, Middle East crisis etc ?. I have been following such events and doing some writing on them.
Thanks for the insight. And a link for the report you covered. 🦋
Wow! Glad you enjoyed it!
thanks for giving good information
Excited for this one!
So glad! Thanks so much!
You are the first person (that I've seen) on how to search for companies to cold pitch, besides purchasing a list. Of the dozen or so copywriters I follow I always hear cold pitch, cold pitch, and "you need to cold pitch to 100 companies a day" or whatever. I'd love to but where do I get that list? Look up companies around you in your niche ... blah, blah, blah.
My niche is Health and Well-being/Anti-aging. Not a lot of opportunity that I can find in my area - one place who I cold pitched. At least now you showed how to search, the words to use. Now I'll need to figure out how to work in B2B and I'll be a step or two closer to finding my first client. :0) Thanks again Elna.
Thank you so much for your comment. I'm sorry you are having problems with finding the right clients. It's a challenge for sure...even for me! Health/wellness/anti-aging and other terms you can use in your search (term + companies, term + businesses, term + publications) to find those clients! Good luck!
@@ElnaWrites thanks so much. Roger
Hi Elna!
I'm very grateful for all your help in writing- it's provided me with a sense of direction as a beginner (in every sense). However, I need a little advice. I like writing about psychology but haven't published anything yet and have been working on a couple of articles for guest post. I haven't discovered a very narrow niche in the subject but I wanted to know if there is a chance with my chosen sub? I mean, if I start a blog and write good, could I still be promoted? Plus, what other types of writing can I do in this area if you have some insight?
Psychology is a tough niche if you don't have credibility in this field. Even for me, with a BA in Psych I couldn't find Psych clients (just guest posts). It might be better to niche to wellness and health!
@@ElnaWrites thank you! I've seen wellness and mental healthcare are a lot more popular than simple psychology
Do you feel like lifestyle is too broad for a niche? I have been fortunate enough to get a couple gigs with travel (which I do enjoy writing about), but I would love to branch out to other lifestyle ideas like baking, nutrition and fitness.
Yea I think lifestyle is too broad. If I need a writer for my cleaning business blog, I would hire a lifestyle writer for cleaning businesses over a lifestyle writer. You can market as a lifestyle copywriter and from there work in different industries like cleaning, health, etc...
As someone with a healthcare insurance license if I wanted my niche to be Healthcare can I use what I know with my expertise on the subject?
Yes definitely but insurance is also profitable too so you can land clients in healthcare and insurance!
Thank you so much. I am wondering about opportunities in the Aging arena, i.e. Ageism; Aging - Gen. Living Challenges and Solutions and/or Social Justice topics. I suspect these arenas won't be high paying. However, this is where my energy is. Any comment?
Most of these could relate to a retirement niche. I'm also leaning towards these topics. I'm thinking Senior Living facilities and age-tech.
@@nancykrames8088 It sounds like a very viable and valuable path. Best wishes, Nancy! I'm interested in addressing ageism, affordable housing for over 65, and post retirement "refire-ment."
@@audreyd1003 Yes, all good things to try! Retirement topics are growing so anything around retirement (search retirement niches to get more topics) will be good for landing clients!
Hi
I want to consider Finance m, do you maybe have materials that can help ?🥺
Hey Elna.
I'm graduated in English literature. I'm interested in personal development and self-help subjects, but I'm unsure if this field can provide a sustainable income for full-time writing? Besides that, i don't have kind of degree that can back me up and help m enter into any niche as subject matter specialist.
What do you suggest?
Personal development and self-help can work but you need to find the right clients (probably more in the copywriting industry). You don't need a degree to become specialized. What you need is experience and practice!
How does AI affect the demand for writers in these niches?
AI can write for many types of topics, especially lifestyle topics so you may not see many jobs in the lifestyle niche. Of course, there will be businesses that want writers instead of AI to produce content but I feel over time, there may be less of these lifestyle gigs and more specialized gigs in the B2B niche.
I am interested in the health niche. I’m a retired nurse.
That's a great niche since you have the background to write about nursing and medical topics!
I must be stupid. I still don't understand how you get paid for writing. Do I need to create a blog first in order to get paid. I thought you just emailed articles and essays to the websites that might want to buy your work. Feels to me that there is very few from the start instructions for people like me that has no clue how to begin. I do know how to write that is about it.
If you have no online presence then my suggestion is to at least start a profile on LinkedIn as a freelance writer and then use a portfolio site like Contently, LinkedIn or Medium to write your first sample. After that go to job boards to find jobs and pitch to them. I lay out the steps in my Get Paid to Write email course as well as extra insider tips to make you more successful! elnacain.com/course/getpaid/
Thank you for your advice. I will do that.
Elna I appreciate your writing tips I really love blogging can I work with you
