You can adapt the newer primer system to the older pro 1000 but you will need to 3d print a new spring catch to connect the spring to. I’ve did this mod about a month ago and have put 1k primers with only minor issues in the beginning.

Do you think is it possible to add the primer slider system on old lee pro 1000? parts seem to be the same...
They fit but the spring needs to be attached to the top of the press. There are a few 3d printed hacks I have tried but none have worked. With the scarcity of spares for the older model I would rather suggest you look at upgrading to the new model.
