V1 and v 2 will communicate with each other and other MURS radios. Just check that the CTCSS and DCS codes match or are off. The v2 has more features and freedom in programming memories.

I’m new to these, not to ask a dumb question but are the new v2 compatible with the old mugs v1? Can they communicate with each other?
