Hi, do you find this bike hot to ride in Singapore? For example during start stop traffic vs highway riding, how is the heat from the engine?
Inline 4 engines get hot pretty quickly in start stop traffic (especially in hot afternoon and fuel tank near empty). Highway wise no issue, I guess if you can move it above 50kmph the heat will go off.
Personally I find it manageable as long as I'm not in shorts. The heat usually comes from 2 areas :
1) header of the exhaust system
2) Muffler (end can)
If they are routed from the side (like supermoto, scrambler, Conti v-twin) or under seat pipe then sure thing you will feel the heat pretty quickly.
Hi nice video. Have been planning to get this fz8s as it has nicer fairings than the fz1. Not alot of these bikes on sg roads so abit hesistant in getting it as im scared parts are more rare. Is it difficult in terms of lane splitting?
Thank you.
Totally agree on "nicer" with the fairings.
The parts are not that rare as compared to European brands and some of them are shares with FZ1. As long it's Japanese mainstream brand, it can't be too hard.
As for lane spilting, its hard with the original mirror (have to fold them up most of the time, as good as no mirror). After switching to the bar end, no problem at all.
It sounded like Steven Hawkin was riding that bike at times 😁
What’s the fuel consumption buddy?
I clock around 18 to 21km/l depending on traffic conditions
