Spectacular! My father had a '48 Custom Deluxe DeSoto coup during the early 1960s. That was his work car that he would drive to the US Steel Ohio Works in Youngstown Ohio. Great memories!
Thank you Jim, It's interesting to look into the past and remember what our family and friends, and acquaintances actually drove every day. Those same cars today have such value that back then would have been inconceivable. This particular little black with the red interior example was a very nice little car...Could have sold it a dozen times. Thanks again. Rich.
My Dad taught me how to drive on a '41 Dodge with Fluid Drive. And until I got my first car, He owned a '51 Plymouth Cambridge that he let me drive too. Great looking ride Rich! Thanks for sharing.
Hey, don’t you realize how much all that paint and chrome takes to shine it? Look, but don’t touch, that takes a bunch of work. Great car, great video, thanks for sharing.
Super nice! Love it except for that over the top BRIGHT RED interior! I would have preferred it to Be toned down a few notches. Still, a wonderful car!
Spider web - left hand (drivers side) inside of the trunk. How the heck did a spider pick that one spot?! I'm just kidding around, the vehicle is in excellent condition and yes, the external paintwork and interior upholstery look to be perfect!
Cars in those days are better then today's cars nowadays.

Very cool Tom! Most of us don't even know what a Fluid Drive is. Very nice memories for you! Thank you. Rich
Always loved the Chrysler products of that era. I had a 48 New Yorker a long time ago. That body style really looks good as a Coupe.
Thank you, I wish I had a dozen of them! :) Rich
That's a beautiful, beautiful DeSoto!

LOL! Henauder!! Don't forget about the black paint too! Lots of "wax on, wax off" :) Thank you for your comment. Rich
I like the Red interior, someone was thinking out of the box, not the painted 'wood' .
Oh wow the gyro-matic was in by then

Where was the switch for the dome light located?
Your beautiful assistant/camera operator didn't quite catch it.
I think it was a small toggle switch under the dash.

If that spider understood how that transmission worked, he would have driven off with the car:) Thank you for your comment. Rich
@@richdeanwestcoastcollectorcars Ha-Ha-Ha..!! Good one Rich.!!
Wish they still made cars like this. Today's cars are all a bunch of generic looking four door's, boring.
Agreed
