In 2011 if someone pointed to Marchand and said future captain they'd have been tossed in a loony bin.

As a bruins fan I also expected more from the leafs I predicted it to go 7 where anything is possible but that was the most deflating game i've seen from this group. No passion from Marner no effort no will to play. No goalie pulled on a power play 5 minutes left on a MUST WIN game. Put a A on Nylanders jersey he wants to win but he had no help out there. Best outcome besides winning (Obviously) is to just lose next game to really show its not working as if the last 4 years didnt show that. If you lose in 7 It just tricks the management thinking they were just 1 win away we will get em next year. If you just get rolled then in lights more of a fire under their asses to make serious changes. I think its just the culture of the locker room there is no teammates pushing eachother to be better. The coach saying they put in effort and Rielly kinda saying they didn't shows they were on 2 different pages. Bertuzzi looks lost on that team and just was overall better as a bruin but I think theres just too much beef now to take him back. Lets see how tuesday goes.

A life long leafs fan friend of mine said the problem with the Leafs is you could pick a team of 70 year olds and 10,000 would still be locked outside . The leafs make money no matter how shit the product is . They make money so no pressure to get better .

This team is done. It's time to blow it up regardless of the outcome of this series. Keefe has to be fired, Tavares needs to be stripped of the C, Marner needs to be off this team immediately, Samsonov gone as well, and most of all, Shanahan.
This team needs to go and get a number 1 goalie, a #1 and #2 D-man. The coach as to be a legit hard ass that is going to be my way or the door. I truly believe Tavares will be traded as well.
This team has been destroyed by Kyle Dubas and Brendan Shanahan. I don't see Pelley keeping anyone, I don't even think Brad Treiliving is safe to be honest.
This needs an overhaul. Dubas has made sure that there is no talent coming up that give you some hope, this team is now on a full on rebuild after this series.

series not over yet. i can sympathize with you leaf fans with internal problems of team and your frustration with it. bruins are a good team though, not with as much talent or depth as leafs but with great experience and determination. they didn't have all time best regular season record last year for nothing and playoffs last year when they lost to panthers was somewhat of a fluke, their goalie got injured and they should have not put injured bergeron back in lineup. you are up against a very good team.

You can't keep John Tavares like hes just not the guy to lead this team. I want to see Craig Berube become the next head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. And trading John Tavares would be great because they could get more depth on defense and offensively. The Leafs don't have the right pieces to get it done. Jarnkrok and Robertson make this team worse. The only line with any type of identity was split up so Nick Robertson could play. The best line the Leafs had through the first three games split up because Keefe is a bad coach. Jarnkrok on the ice at the worst times because Keefe likes him? This team lost itself when Willy and McMann got injured to start the playoffs. Crazy moves by Keefe and a lack of defensive responsibility kills this team.
I want them to keep this group together for another ten years. It's like the best rendition of groundhog day you could ever write.

The difference between Boston and Toronto, and you said this at around the 19:40 mark or there abouts, is that Boston are a team. After 8 years and the Leafs are not a team, they are still a bunch of individuals who were put together as a team and there is a difference between the two.

These changes that are coming should have been started last year after we lost to Florida.. nothing about this season felt different and every season has been hard to watch with optimism with what we have our team built around… last 8 years we look like a laughing stock
