A big reason Gordon Ramsay isn't as harsh with the kids, is because they're kids learning to cook but are exceptionally well at it, where as the adults are supposed to be professionals already and mess up.
BoneJaver3000studios EXACTLY. The kids are learning Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares should know better and usually they need to be knocked down a peg. I love how he responds when the kids in MCJ get hurt or overwhelmed immediately into comforting mood.
Seriously, to see someone "experienced" messing up some of THE most basic things that even someone like me, who is no cook or anything, can tell is something they should *not* do is irritating, so for a professional like Gordon Ramsay, it must be beyond anger.
I mean, I remember an episode when Gordon Ramsay's own family was there and one of the chefs working on their order literally dropped a piece of food on the floor, picked it up, cooked it and tried to serve it, and of course, got caught. *REALLY?!*

Gordon Ramsay has my respect. He is really a nice guy in real life outside of these shows. I think he gets really angry when food is mediocre and raw because he cares for the customers. The customer puts their trust in the chef for a good and healthy meal.
Okay not to disagree with you: in fact I understand and believe you 100 %. It is just it says this comment was 2 days ago...when this video was just uploaded today. Way to go UA-cam.
How have you commented 2 days ago when it says the video came out today, only 2 hours ago?!?!?
he's a patron
@MrTuxBux It's not really overreacting, he does not like food being wasted, especially by these supposed professionals.
Daniel orozco Ah, I Knew Patrons got early access to videos, but I never saw a comment on one of their videos that was made before it was publicly released.
There was a girl that tried to slap him and he caught it. He's pretty experienced in fighting lol
Jeez when did that happen
I think I heard he has a black belt in judo
Might be wrong, but that’s just what I heard
@@shizaanimations7634 its in karate i think plus he does boxing and runs iron man marathons and was in military and a semi professional football player if i remember correctly on top of that hes 6 feet tall and shredded
Dude I remember that he went fuckin ultra instinct on her ass!
What episode
I like how Gordon can yell at people but at the same time if they get pissed and attack him he can protect himself because he knows Martial Arts.
Boiling oil thrown in someone's face? Martial arts ain't gonna mean shit then.
That's what the matrix doge is for
Sean Rosenau lawsuits can tho 😂
@@seanrosenau2088 He hasn't said anything worth that..he is just being honest..it may be a blow to the ego and CV....
but he was expecting "executive" chefs...lol what he got were people that cannot cook one item over and over . even an egg..lol so yes wasting food and worse making bad food. He wouldn't shout otherwise. 2 hours to get some starters out...burnt steak, raw steak, burnt fish, raw fish..lol
But apparently they are ALL PROFESSIONAL CHEFS.
@@seanrosenau2088 a dumbass would do that plus you'll get sued and go to fucking prison therefore ruining your damn like lmao
The interesting thing is that Gordon Ramsay hates idiots, He can't stand people who are professionals and then show that they don't know what they are doing, which is why he loses his shit. But when he is TEACHING people who are learning their trade from him, the kids or the apprentices, he is much calmer and patient. So I can understand his emotions then.
That's why i hate chefs who think they're hot shit when they actually suck
its almost like you didnt watch the video when she said this.....
Gordon Ramsey has high expectations of you. The moment you work under him, he expects you to have a certain amount of knowledge in the kitchen. He gets real pissed off when you don't know basics of cooking and sanitation, and if you keep struggling on the same thing over and over. Thats why he comes at these people so hard. They think their hot shit and Gordon wants to see for himself. Working in a 5-star restaurant, you need to have a level of professional skill and knowledge in the kitchen.
These are not his people. They're contestants who work as chefs and make claims to greatness so far beyond their actual skill its' embarrassing to me, who only makes claims to be a fair cook. Hells' Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares are like this, and he spends most of the episodes showing them just how shit they really are. The Master Chef series of shows are where he does a more 'standard' competition, putting the contestants through challenges and finding the best out of a lot of promising amateurs. A couple times he's even made it possible for people /cut/ from Master Chef to get full training and then hired them at one of his places.
Three star
How has no one ever thrown boiling grease on him yet? Not condoning violence, but his mouth is a bit much.
@@seanrosenau2088 I'm gonna be honest I'm sure it's been tried a time or two, someone mentioned a chef tried to slap him once and he caught it, so I assume attempts to do him harm aren't completely uncommon, I assume he might be just capable of defending himself, at least that's my assumption
@@sirnightmare4881 Gordon is a black belt, so he probably has insanely good reaction times.
Well, if I had a 5 star restaurant and a reputation as one of the best chiefs in the world and a group of people start serving food to make me, my company and the team look ineffective i'd be pissed off today. Especially when these people claim to know what their doing
There are no 5 star restaurants. That's hotels you're thinking of. Restaurants only go up to 3-star.
Except there ARE 5 star restaurants. The Forbes Travel Guide rating system goes from 1 star to 5.
CaptainSpycrab you sir have never seen ratatouille. Chef Gusto's restaurant had 5 stars then he lost 1 star then died and lost another and after that there were no more 5 star restaurants after that. COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT
Hells kitchen isn't a "reputation restaurant".. people dine there expecting fuck ups...it's part of the TV Show and part of the reason people go there in the first place.
His anger and character is 1) for entertainment purpose...if he was a soft kind hearted soul the viewer counts would be dramatically less because most people are watching to see him flip out not to see the next Head Chef of a restaurant they'll never visit and..
2) because he is trying to weed out the weak and keep the strong. Obviously the winners prize is a head chef position in one of his actual restaurants or in a very high end restaurant, so he is forcing the best possible quality out of the brigade and seeing who is still standing at the end, who will keep up with the tempo, who will cut corners, who has the skill and who doesn't etc.
I've never worked with Ramsay personally but have worked with Chefs who have worked in some of his restaurants and from what I've heard, whenever he comes to do a service (because he is obviously not based in one place but does randomly show up to do services here and there - or did at the time) he is nothing like how he is on TV...apparently strict but no more so than most other Head Chefs and signs autographs for the chefs etc at the end of the service.
We must never forget when Gordon Ramsey took on the horror that was Amy's Baking Company.
Hi there, I would just like to thank you cause I've never seen it before and I'm lmao while Ramsay didn't even arrived yet 😂
Good lord lmao xD
She was consistant with excuses damn..
What exactly happened? That was on Kitchen Nightmares, right?

Magic Wizards This onion is so raw it's still trying to get Eddie Murphy out of its swamp!
This chicken is so rubbery goodyear called and wants the recipe!
the meat is so burned, i think Zuko fire-bended the meat!
The pork is still RAW, it’s still singing Hakuna Matata!!!
The beef is so raw, that it is starting to eat the salad!
The main reason he gets so heated about people making mistakes like this, is because Cooking is extremely important to him. To Gordon, cooking is an Art. Not just a profession. So when supposedly Professional chefs come in and make mistakes like this, he receives it as almost an insult.
not just that, but it's also his reputation on the line in hells kitchen, and i'm pretty sure he buys all the food and products used in the show with his own money
That reason alone would push me over the limit if people made mistakes like this.
The clip where Gordon just walked out on them, was believable to me. He was just wasting his time.
@@kin4386
You can see the Stark difference between when he's doing this and when he's dealing with kids.
With the kids, they're still learning. He CAN be harsh but still.
With these supposed 'professionals' that do mistakes that even normies can pick out? They need to be knocked down a peg
@@thebravegallade731 That too.
Especially when the professional chefs are all boasting like "aw yeah man I'm five stars don't worry about it." That's one of the reasons Gordon Ramsey gets pissed.
I swear he's the textbook definition of "there are two kinds of people" when you see him between adults and children. I understand that these here are supposed to be professionals and they're fucking up this hard, and the kids are good at what they do while learning to get better, but seriously. To have such extravagant insults like "fuck off you fucking piece of yankee dankee doodle shite" and still have such kind charming words to child cooks. It's amazing
Anyone who successfully trains under him would undoubtedly go on to be an awesome chef!
my favorite thing Gordon Ramsay has said was the "YOUR AN IDIOT SANDWICH SAY IT!!!"
Except he didn't say that and it was from a parody.
@@theplayfulparody2183 You're half right. He did say it, but he was doing a skit for a talk show.

Black belts are no excuse to act like a rude bitch lol even his fans admit he goes way too far with his insults sometimes.

The problem with Amy is that she bought and repackaged her desserts from competitors. So if Amy actually made a dessert and Gordon Ramsay tasted it, he'd definitely say it tasted like shit. And oh my god I loved Ratataouille when it came out.
Well that and the fact that she was an utter nutcase who couldn't handle criticism of her food and believed there was some conspiracy to get her restaurant shut down. The fact that her husband was too frightened of her to do anything didn't help matters.

Gordon ramsay: Im about to end his dreams
Gordon _Ramsey_ (that was intentional) is that person who is both rude and nice at the same time and also hilarious
Apparently there’s some rumors that the producers of the show mess with the stove settings and stuff to get those reactions out of gordon
I love how he waited until he was done boosting up his own ego just to say"you surprise me with how shit you are" right after.
23:15 The way it works is that you have 2 teams of cooks, who are supposedly either trained cooks allready and allready worked in kitchens.
This is also one of the major reasons that Gordon is so Ballistic on their arses when they make Home cooks/rookie mistakes or take shortcuts.
And Each Table, who are customers( now i've never watched the show at the time, so i don't know everything, dunno if they're Paying customers that got there with reservations and connections, or if they are invited as guests by the production, what i can say is that the clientel looks on the "Fortunate" side for most, outside the occasional WHOLE school kids party or shit) orders from either of the menu's if each teams does different menu's, OR the distribution of plates at a table is split between the two teams ( so a table for 6 people would have 3 blue and 3 red plates) if they do the same Menu.
Now when you watch and think how ridiculous it is that sometimes it takes them sooo much time to complete ONE order( like an hour and a half sometimes), its because of the "Everything is served at the same time" rule.
Its something that high end quality and luxurious restaurants do, when a table is served, the whole table is served at the same time, so the cooks needs to communicate and work on the timing, since different foods=different cooking times.
And thats where the biggest Hurdle Teams faces each time, while its acceptable to have a 30 to 60 sec gap before stuff get send, if its too long, then some of the dishes will be cold/undone/overcooked( meat while hot continues to slowly cook, thats why when cooking steak if you want to reach a specific tenderness, you let the steak rest for a few moments).
And in HK, per Gordon's rule, if it cannot be send at the same time, they have to redo EVERYTHING over.
Ti assure the quality of the dishes, but also as a way to put some tension on a failling team work and force the contestants to communicate and work as a team, cause in a kitchen with multiple chefs at work, you NEED communication to have the perfect timing.
Its something that doesn't happen in your everyday restaurants, usually if something is done more quickly than the rest, they'll either serve it right away, or they keep it under the hot lights/plate so that it doesn't get cold, but as seen on Kitchen Nigthmares even then it can be too much, since Heat=cooking, and thats how you get overcooked stuff, even if it came out earlier.
And all of this is also why sometimes they take an hour to send an order out, cause since they rarely get along or simply don't know each others, the communication sucks or their Ego or stuborness gets in the way, and even if all the others have made the dishes perfectly, if ONE of them fucks it up or is too late with his dish, EVERYONE AS TO DO EVERYTHING AGAIN.
It as allready lead to situations where, well after a whole service like that, they couldn't serve certains dishes anymore cause there was not enouhg ingridients anymore, or poeple simply well leaving.
Heck one customers once ordered 6 pizzas by phone, and got delivered IN THE DINNING ROOM, and Gordon lookign at the cooks and telling them "look, you're so shit, they've ordered Pizzas and got delivered before you Donkey's could send out anything!"

Gordon Ramsay is like a grandad if you get to know him
I used to really dislike Gordon Ramsay because I thought he was mean, but as I got older I realized he’s just passionate and very serious about cooking. You’re a kid or otherwise just learning and putting in genuine effort? Gordon loves you and will treat you very well. You give him attitude, are visibly lazy, are sloppy in food prep/cause a food safety hazard due to negligence/carelessness? He’ll tear into you and you will deserve it. He seems like the kind of guy who’d celebrate people’s successes and also kick their ass if he knows they aren’t putting in proper effort or care.
Believe it or not, Gordon is actually really nice when he wants to be.
TBH I would most likely laugh at anyone that behaved like this in a workplace and then tried criticizing my work. I just wouldn't be able to take them seriously.
3:26 I LOVE Alton Brown! I grew up watching Good Eats, and he's kinda the reason I began cooking and loved chemistry. I freaking love Cutthroat Kitchen too

One of my favorite insults of Gordon that are always skipped in these insult videos is when earlier in the night he told some rude customers to f*** off, and then they come back and are telling him he hurt their friends feelings.
“I hurt their feelings, did I? How?”
“You told her to f*** off.”
“I see, well do me a favor, yeah? Tell her I meant it. Get back to your table.”
It’s probably skipped over because he’s not screaming like he usually is but it’s still a great insult. Also shout out to Micheal randomly going “You guys cook like old people F***!” Which was so out of left field and had me laughing so hard

It's Gordon Ramsay not Ramsey.
Well, the customers aren't random people, they're hired actors (or extras), but they do eat the food and sit there.
