I get that the creator wanted to the end story quickly, and was probably scrambling for a way to do so, but it was almost unsatisfactory? Snape and Dazai’s relationship never got to fully develop, the random rat change, the port mafia moving in on hogwarts, Dazai’s own character development. It just felt out of character at that point in the story for Blaise to suddenly be okay with murder when he wasn’t with Dazai breaking Pansy’s arm. I think the ending was definitely shocking and unexpected, but I wouldn’t say it was rather interesting or well thought out. It just felt edgy, and not even edgy to make a point like the depicted abuse in the previous chapters or Dazai’s plots that stem from his background, just edgy to be “cool” or something. What do other people think? I’ve only seen people talk about the shock value.
