One of my favorite things about your videos is every single video there's a new viewer getting surprised by how excellent your cinematography is. It's an absolute treat to see.
Wtf…stumbled across this video and thought what heck, I’ll see how his review is. Was NOT expecting the quality. GxAce, wow dude. Keep up the good work and great cinematography. You are single handedly rewriting the video review world with these videos. New sub. Now I’m going to go watch all your videos :)
Yeah man I feel that in every GxAce video! First time I came across his channel I was mesmerized! He instantly shot up to the top of my favorite photography related youtube channels!
A perfect balance of educational/entertaining. As someone new to this world, i dont think any other content creator even approximates your attention to detail. Thank you for the info and visuals. I'll be subscribing for life.
Time and time again, I'm always amazed at the creativity this channel has, the writing it has, the execution it has, and the quality of examples relating to the product(s) being talked about. Salute to you man !!! SUBSCRIBED ! A long time ago at that. Keep killing it man !
Everytime i watch your videos i cant belive your quallity. the story telling, the shots, the setup. Everything is just like a different world and its truly amazing cinematography. Thank you
@@MnFilmCO Depends tho, they are not the best 1.5x lenses if you want clean footage. Vintage look? 100% the better choice, but yeah these Nanomorphs are also amazing!
I just realised I still love a regular, straight to the point camera or lens review. I mean I love your videos but when I just want to decide on whether to buy a lens or not I just like a simple review. Your productions are more of a treat not when i'm trying to make a serious financial decision.
Your videos are consistently amazing, and you cinematography is just stunning... the computer voice stuff really ruins it for me, its just a feeling. But I keep coming back for the content.
This video is so well-executed on all fronts. If it isnt too invasive, I'd LOVE to know how you treated the audio to create the robotic vocal effect. It's so so good. Keep up the amazing work!
Truly awesome lenses! It reminded me of when I originally started working in 3D visualisation and we would scale our 4:3 renders to 16:9 anamorphic. Obviously not the same. But what I kept wondering is, if your headsets had some actual functionality??? It looked like you had some type of lightfield lens passthrough going on there?
Another awesome video. Love your content. Just bought your Master Collection preset pack. Happy to contribute and help you keep making mode of this content. Cheers from Toronto.
Sirui Saturn are full frame and the Laowa's are S35. The Saturn's don't focus anywhere as close. They are about 3ft minimum. I own and use the Saturns on my full frame camera. :)
Own the initial three. They are pretty. If people don’t prefer pincushion, it can be dialed out in post. They are fun for photos, too. Thinking about taking a few to the beach 🏝️.
Shooting anamorphic... not for me purely because of the close focus issues, great for wides but I'm a fan of using focus as a tool to develop longer shots, and they are always a nightmare. 0.45-0.7m close focus is LOL still quite troublesome and only a marginal improvement to say, a set of Hawks. But the size of these lenses is quite extraordinary, and your videos are great! I love them.
Awesome video, 2001 was shot with spherical lenses though :D I would love for more manufacturers to add firmware updates allowing anamorphic desqueeze in camera. It's OK framing the squeezed image without a monitor but definitely not as fun. And with these small nanomorphs, I don't want to bring a monitor in a compact hybrid video setup. I feel like Fuji could drive a lot of attention/sales if they added this to the H2S/T5/H2/S20. I think Lumix offers a couple models and of course cine focused cameras like the FX3/Sigma FP but that's about it.
All the video looks amazing and the music is great. Is it custom just for this video? It fits the feel sand changes in ambiance pretty well. The raspy voice I would scrap. It made the audio unbearable. Other than that everything looks amazing. If I wanted to make some very ambitious video I would go buy these lenses just from your examples here. Great presentation. Love the content! Congrats!!! You could totally do a proper "Ghost in the Shell" short adaptation. This looked more cyberpunk than the hollywood version of it. 👍
Had this set for my Ronin 4D for just over a year and they are fabulous!!! I'm really surprised how inexpensive these are... They look superior and depending on the artist, they can make the look 50x more expensive than what they are. I wonder if Laowa realized the steal/deal they did when selling these.
Great Video @GxAce! I have the Moment anamorphic linse for iPhone. Of course not as great as for a “real” camera but still. Completely new feeling to shoot with these tiny guys.
2:18 Was this filmed in the dogenzaka part of shibuya? Looks like it’s down the street from one of my favorite bars Tap & Crowler. Man I love Tokyo and just all of Japan
Lovely work, as always! If you have time, I'd value your advice. I've recently been transitioning away from my Canon FD set (24, 35, 50) I have a 24mm Nightwalker and an 85mm non cine (for a Lumix S5). Which focal length would you recommend I consider if I were going to get a Nanomorph? I love shooting at 24mm, it's where I tend to find the framing I like. But I already have that (albeit not anamorphic). I guess I'm wondering between 35 and 50.....I don't know - what do you think?
Dog can you list inspirations ? Mostly for the physical tech. I’m trying to build a similar cyberpunk aesthetic but I feel I’m lacking in certain departments.
Dope video and priceless information.Would the Sirui brand 1.33x micro 4/3rds lens kit afford me the same look that you achieve here or would it require different settings in post?Or do I specifically need the 1.5x squeeze ratio to achieve this look. Thanks and keep pushing my guy!
GxAce, your videos are out of this world incredible! You can make a video about a random Japanese cereal and with your style it would be just... amazing! Can't believe you met Jonas hahah I know him, he's from my city! Great guy
honestly i tryed the sirui 50mm 1.8 anamorph on mft, it really didnt catch me, i prefer to use a old jeep vintage lense, like a pentacon or a helios. I sold the sirui 2 weeks ago for 250 euros.
Nanomorphs + GxAce + Japan is literally the perfect combination
WOW
Indeed. Style is...thankfully unique.
correct me if i'm wrong but i think thats china ?
