  • This is the time of year in south Florida when the mango trees blossom and set fruit. This is about a 4 to 6 week process from blossoming to the setting of fruit. In this first video, I take you on a tour of about half of my grove so you can get a sense of the beauty and majesty of the mango trees at this time of year. Most of the blossoms are off the trees and what appears are little green peas soon to be luscious juicy mangos this summer.

    Great video man, do you think that if baby mangoes are a light yellow color they’re more prone to fall off? I’m asking because mine are mostly so...

    It’s called the shedding of aborted fruit due to inadequate pollination. Sometimes they’ll turn yellow and sometimes they’ll stay green as they drop off.
