Christmas tree...I found out a little trick in quilting class. Use some freezer paper for you Christmas tree stencils. iron them onto your fabric and they will stick long enough to cut it. The shiny surface towards the fabric. Your crafts are super cute.
I LOVE making little scenes to sit around a few places like the one you done on the copper tray...it is so super cute. I also love those felt trees you made. I have so many trees I've made over the last several years & they set the tone for a beautiful "forest scene" on my refrigerator. Those felt ones will be a beautiful addition with the others. I appreciate that idea very much. As always, thank you so much for everything you share Donna 💖. The nature elements are the greatest additions to all my decor & I always count you to help me with that 🥰.

I make pillows from placemats all the time. The ones that have backing, I open the seam, fill, then stitch back. The ones with no backing, I glue 2 together, leave an opening, fill, and glue together. You could even use 2 different and have a reversible pillow. My mom's last Christmas, I made her a bunch of Christmas pillows. She was pretty much in bed, and there wasn't much I could get for her. She loved the pillows.

Never thot of that! Genius! My new thing is to only collect removable pillow covers and switch them out rather than keep multiple pillows.
I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this, but using freezer paper with felt helps a lot. You draw your shape onto the paper side, iron it onto the felt without cutting out. Then cut it out after. It makes a much cleaner cut.
I always look forward to your video's. Loved all your diy's. I have a cardinal embroidered place mat I was going to frame but now after watching this i'm going to make an accent pillow. Loved the house with trees so lovely.
I'm definitely going for a stroll through the woods today while the weather is nice. I have tons of pinecones and sticks that I can make trees with, and I know there's a really pretty moss that I'm going to grab. I love making decorations with thrifted and foraged things.

Donna, these were so adorable. My favorite is the felt tree. What a lovely display piece. I thought you could shorten the trunk on the felt trees, add a ribbon hanger to the top and voila a really cute ornament.

Ya, I was really happy with how it turned out. I have another doily but no more small hoops. I'd like to give one to my Mom and the other to my Mom-in-law. I'll be on the hunt for another small hoop 😉

I loved all these projects and like to buy thrift store items to flip. Hope you're not getting hit with all that rain this weekend! We are in Saskatoon and hoping we get through Halloween with no snow!
I'm not on the coast, so we're not getting hit as hard. We sure needed the moisture, but not all at once 🤪

Why not draw around your tree template onto the material and then cut it out? Works for me
